I got the same error, but I think it's because you basicly land on the same voting page after giving your vote, so the code recognizes you and won't let you vote again. There was a very short 'Thank you' page after the voting and after that the error. The code just isn't timed well/at all and there's no 'what next' page, basicly. I'm pretty sure that getting the 'error' is the best verification that your vote has in fact gone through

 

I was hoping it was something like that and my votes still went through, would hate to think that there was issues that ruined votes because everyone's entries deserve to get recognition for the work that went into them.

Well voting is closed so soon the results will be posted. Just wanted to say everyone did a great job, and all of the work put into the entries was impressive!
Now I'll go back to pacing nervously and biting my nails. xD

 

I entered every single contest this year, and of them all, I am most excited for the prizes for this one. I can't wait to see who wins them!

I nearly entered this one, but I got ill and discouraged. Loved seeing all the kitties.

 

Aaaaaah so anxious for the results! I don't want to get my hopes up, but it's hard not to, y'know? I don't feel like it was my best-possible work, because I only ended up with five days to find materials and make everything, but I guess we'll see... It was fun getting to see how everyone else interpreted the theme, anyway.

 

The caliber of this contest amazes me every year. Good luck, everyone!

 

I'm curious to see how hearts (likes?) correspond to votes. I'm surprised that my personal favorite entry (which is the cutest thing I've seen in forever) only got two hearts. There were so many amazing and complex entries. I'm awed by the skill involved!

 

I didn't even consider the hearts(likes) things ... Since I never use them myself.. That's a good question o3o

One of the greatest things about DoA is how talented and creative our members are. All us mods look forward to the Anniversary every year to see what you guys will come up with!

Personally, it was a lot of fun conceptualizing what kind of cat costume I would make and rationalizing it, mostly so it wouldn't look like a Halloween costume, as I tend to suck at sewing! DX
I can't even remember when the last time I sewed something and actually completed it, but maybe more than two years ago? Lol! Regardless, this contest gave me a lot of motivation
to sew for my dolls again and actually finish something. I haven't done that in a long, long time. I'm so happy I get something new for one of my dolls out of this and also think if I ever get
the courage to enter another contest in the future, I'll try to chose my fabric better and not go for all black again (I am obsessed with black, even I dress in all black and I'm nowhere near being goth)!

Heartfelt congratulations to all the winners...your design details and workmanship was superb! And major appreciation to all those who entered as well. What an amazing contest it was this year...all the entries were truly wonderful and imaginative. You know, as one of the non-winners in DoA's anniversary contests throughout the years, I am always amazed by how much I gain just by entering them. Take this couture contest for example: I made a costume for a doll I'd recently purchased second-hand in the marketplace here on DoA. She arrived as an unplanned impulse buy...with no name, no character, no inspiration! But by creating her a costume as a way of supporting this contest, I found her name and character, and fit her in as an integral part of my collection's storyline. I gained so much just by entering, It makes me feel like a winner too! And I always wind up feeling this way every single year.

Whoever ends up with the Supia girl, I really hope you share pix of her! Of all of this year's prizes, she was the one I loved and wanted most, so I'm curious to see how she ends up!

Good job to everyone, there were so many amazing cats in the contest. Mine was the blond girl in the black and red pin-up style outfit with the lace ears, and I know I can re-use that shirt and those ears, probably the collar too, so even though I didn't win, the challenge was fun and I have an outfit I can still use.

 

The winners absolutely deserve it and I really loved participating this year actually for the prizes! I also want to thank to prize donors, because without such beautiful dolls to compete for, I would not have pulled out all the stops! I know I did better on this concept than on anything I've designed in a while, and now looking at the top 4, I know I can gain from the concepts and designs they brought to the table as well! I'm really happy with myself for what I entered, and I know next year I'll do even better, because now I'm going to start practicing not just my sewing skills, but also my conceptualizing skills!!!

Side note: @Enzyme I really love your design! It's so interesting! I really hope you do have the courage to enter other contests!

 

Thank you! I do have a pretty "interesting" sense of fashion, if I do say so myself. At least when it come to what I make for my dolls; I'm pretty average when it comes to clothes for myself -- I do like to cover every mm of myself in black though (even during summer). DX

Mine was the black leather one with the torn tights. Like you @PoeticSoul after making my doll a costume, now I have a better idea of her character.

 

Was there a way to check what place we came? (it's probably super obvious and I'm just missing it..)

 

I was hoping to see that too, but didn't see it anywhere either.

I love that leather bodysuit! It fit like a glove and those seams were straighter than I could even hope to accomplish. XD

 

Thanks, I don't know how the seams were straight, considering how much Rockstar Zero I was drinking to get it done on time. Loved your pinup girl too, especially the cute lace ears!

Basically I like all of them! Two favorites are the mouse in cat's clothing, and the abandoned kitten in the box. Very clever concepts.

I keep playing with the idea of getting a machine but I've never had much luck with them. Feel so bad for my home ec teacher who way back in my school days had to fix every machine I touched.
