I just wanted to share a couple patterns I have made. I am not very active here (I spend much of my time on Tumblr), but I wanted to share here as well. These should fit standard MSDs pretty well since my Momo is on an older, larger Luts Fairyland body that I dyed to match her head. First up is my hoodie pattern, with zippered and not zippered options. Next up is my t-shirt dress pattern, with two different sleeve lengths. I am currently working on more patterns, but I just have to find the time to digitize them and test them out. If you would like to see all of my doll patterns (available for free) take a look here. Thanks for looking!!
Thank you so much! I hope they come in handy!! Thank you!! I hope you enjoy making it, I tried to make it quick to sew since there are no shoulder seams. Edit: And I forgot to mention, the hood actually fits Minifee sized heads!! I always hate when doll hoods don't fit!
Thank you for sharing! I just started to learn how to sew, to I will try to make 1 for my minifees =)
Thank you for these patterns! I actually found these on tumblr a while back and have made both of them, they're very nice! I really like the dress especially, I've made it twice and am thinking about a third time. I have some trouble with the collar though, I'm a bit of a beginner and can't quite figure out how it should go. I'm really looking forward to your future patterns! Hope to see them soon.
You are so welcome!! I am glad that you have been enjoying them, sorry about the neckline of that one being confusing. Linings and facings can be troublesome so I definitely understand. I actually figured out a better way to sew in facings though, a friend who also makes patterns on Tumblr actually figured it out. I will try to describe it in the easiest way I can, so I am sorry if this is only more confusing in advance!! So what I learned is, instead of cutting out the facing piece and then cutting out the interior circle of the facing piece, just cut the outer circle. Then sew your front piece to the back pieces at the shoulder and then lay those pieces flat. Place the facing piece on top of the neckline, right sides together, and then picking up both the front/back pieces and the facing piece, flip it over. Pin or baste along the neckline, then sew it together. Now, following the neckline of the front and back pieces, cut out the interior circle clipping the curve as you go (I use pinking shears for this since they are basically two-in-one at this scale). Now invert those pieces, it will seem like an odd thing to do, and you may benefit from pressing it with an iron, but once you invert it, you can top-stitch it and continue the rest of your sewing from there. I know a diagram would help, and the next time I make one, I will try to remember to take photos to help out!! I am currently working on a mini sweater dress and tights, the patterns are nearly ready, so I will be trying to share those within the next month!! Thank you again for taking the time to respond!!
Thanks for sharing your patterns and extra instructions. Can't wait for the mini sweater dress and tights.
Thanks so much for all this info! I really don't have a clue when it comes to facing so I'm sure this will be helpful next time! I'm so excited for those, I can't wait to see what they'll be like (and then make them).
I hope the additional details help you out next time!! And I just have to digitize the tights pattern and write the instructions, I have been pretty busy though so I haven't had an opportunity to do it yet. I just wanted to let you know I had not forgotten about them lol
ah these are wonderful! i cant wait to try them! i hope u come out with more patterns for 1/4th dolls!
Oh these are SO CUTE!! I was just wanting to make a hoodie and this is so helpful!! Thank you for sharing
