...with some adjustments. I had to make 3 pairs out of cheap fabric to get the fitting just right for Soah's wider hips and to eliminate the plumber's crack thing that happens when she sits down. So, I ended up enlarging the pattern to 109% and then made some other tiny adjustments to accommodate her butt without making the jeans too baggy. But anyway, what do you think? And any idea how to make those folds between her legs disappear? I just can't think what kind of adjustments will smooth that area out... See-- the folds are in the front now, but see how it doesn't ride down in the back. When Hana Soah sits, it looks very nice from the rear... Thanks in advance for your comments and suggestions! Tina P.S. I didn't use a zipper OR velcro-- it seems to stay closed nicely enough, and gives her the extra ease she needs when she sits.
>>And any idea how to make those folds between her legs disappear? I just can't think what kind of adjustments will smooth that area out... Add to the length of the croch curve. It's pulling the fabric under her. -Cat-
>> To think that maybe I thought I had too much length! Well, it looks long enough... it's the curve you have to lenghen where it swings towards the front. That releases the fabric back. If the length before the curve was too short, the wrinkles would be much more up and down... instead of sideways. -Cat-
Oh!! that makes SO MUCH sense! Thanks! I just added a 1/2 inch to the front and back pieces (since the wrinkles appear in both) to see how that works out. I'm off to sew a pair of mid-thigh length jeans! Tina
Those came out realy nice even with the gentle pull. I think Cat's got the idea for the fix, sounds right. I like them in the cord fabric as well.
