Video Containment (DV Achelous vs Bimong Narin68)

Aug 24, 2025

    1. [IMG]

The day Hayk Seraph came to the angel sanctuary and submitted to the Protector of birds.

Enfleshing. The process by which an angel - a spirit being - acquires a material body. An act of God.

Containment. Not all parts of the angel's spirit nature can knit into their material form. These remain sealed and inaccessible -- contained -- in the supernatural realm. To the enfleshed angel, this is loss. The seraphim feel it more keenly than the malakhim.

The anpiel is Dream Valley Achelous human on the B4-04 body; in some scenes it wears hands from Whale Island/Coralreef Doll. It's wired with 16gauge through its core (from head to toe), but no other maintenance.
The doll stand is the "invisible stand" that you can get from Alice's Collections.

Hayk is Bimong Narin68 Grey. He's completely wired with 14- and 16gauge aluminium wire, and sueded with Bimong's silicone (by default) and my hot glue sueding. The sword (from LUTS) is quite heavy, so I taped another 14gauge wire along the length of Hayk's arm and around his torso, to add extra strength.
The doll stand is from Bobo Doll on Taobao.

The large wings are made of craft foam. I commissioned them from a crafter on Xianyu (Chinese secondhand market).

The video is 48 frames long and made up of 45 separate photos and poses. I shot it over 1.5 weeks. It was a tough photoshoot but extremely rewarding to do. Both dolls were superb posers: I asked a lot from them, and they delivered everything I wanted.

      Thank you for viewing!

    2. I love this, the poses are so dynamic from one picture to the next

The Dream Valley doll I find to be especially gorgeous and captivating as well

    3. Love this one. The Anpiel seems to have a different expression in this too.

    4. Very inpressive interaction, feels both like a dance and a fight - love it!

    5. @Leenah Thank you! I'm glad you like the anpiel - the sculpt is very charming and expressive.

@lutke It's interesting how the dolls suggest different expressions, isn't it? The lighting was creating fascinating effects in the background the whole time.

@dharmaniac Thank you. Both dolls are very graceful posers. I'm glad the dance-vs-fight quality comes through!

    6. I've never thought of the anpiel as being this serious before, almost in a scary way compared to how it usually lounges around seemingly without a care.
Good job portraying a completely different side of its character!

    7. @castironteapot Thanks a bunch! I've never had a chance to show this aspect of the anpiel, until now. It was very satisfying to do it, I'm glad you picked up on the change in temperament. :3nodding:
