Completely Lost in Dollmore's Points System.

Jan 5, 2009

    1. So I get 1.00 point for joining.

Can I pay for the 0.09 wig with that...?!

Or...!? The site does //not// explain. Can someone help me?!*_**_**_*

    2. Ill be honest this points system confuses me too - everytime ive bought off dollmore it says its taken my points but nothing seems to be less on my bill so I think they are floating off into cyber space somewhere and i dont seem to have a points balance now either, lol

Id love to know how this points system for dollmore works too ^_^

    3. Uwah! I'm glad I'm not the only one completely lost xD!!!

    4. I'm with LadyChusei--every time I ask Dollmore to apply my points, nothing happens. :( The same with Luts. The only site where I've actually been able to use the points I've accumulated is Customhouse . . . so I think there must be some "trick" on the other sites that I haven't figured out yet. *sigh*

    5. If you go to 'Shopping Guide -> Mileage info' it tells you that you need at least 10 points before you can apply them to an order.

So that could be one reason why they didn't work.

    6. i can help you out on this point thing. theyre very confusing...no where on the site do they have an explanation that actually makes sense XD i had to ask them, and it still didnt help. the only thing that worked was actually using them...so...

      1pt = $1.00.
the points under items for sale on the site, are not how many points it takes to buy that item (thats what i thought :() but how many points you get added to your account when you buy that item. when you have collected 10 points, you can start applying them to your order. so if you have an order of $110 and use all 10 points, it will only take $10 off. as far as i can tell, you can use as many points as you want, but i cant be 100% sure, cause ive only used as much as 13 at once.

i dont know about other sites (except i think iplehouse or leekeworld there is no limit, i cant remember which) but thats how Dollmore works. hope that helps a little! :)

    7. Thanks! I have read the information on the website multiple times, though. And I had 105 points. ;) It's just one of those mysteries of the universe--like the way Dollmore consistently ships my packages to the wrong customer name and address, despite having the correct info on my order.

    8. How do you use the points you've earned on dollmore orders?

    9. First, you have to have a minimum...I believe of 10 (someone correct me if I'm wrong). And the option will pop up during your checkout.

    10. 10? Wow >< bummer i wanted to use mine, but i only have 5 :(

    11. Yeah, most places have a 10-point minimum, I believe. Keeps you spending.

    12. What do you get for points? I never can be sure if I should use or not.

    13. You get points per purchase.
Like if you buy something thats $23.00 you get 0.23 points
      100$ = 1.00 points
and it just adds up the more you spend, then after you have enough you can use them to knock off some of the price of a purchase

    14. WELL THATS LAME >|
Ill message them and see what their point mini. is

    15. Will have to try that next time I place an order. Thanks, MK

    16. Yes dollmore point mini is 10. :( bummer.

    17. Just to add for those who dont know dollmore points = $10, so say you use 9 points that would be $90 from your order :)

    18. ummm, i do believe that 1 point=$1 i have used the points to pay for shipping, so if my shipping fee was $22, i use 22 points.....

    19. really? because on the order i just placed i used 9 points and they removed $90

    20. oh wow.... hmmm, i guess i got ripped off.... oh well.....:)

    21. Oh man D:! maybe they just recently changed it?

    22. Sigh, I thought the another way round..
Then they tell me 1 point = 1USD..

      So sad T_T

    23. Luts I can get to work easily...never tried Dollmore's!

    24. I know this is an old topic but I was wondering if anyone knows if the 1 points = $10 conversion still stands?

    25. I'm not sure since i only used dollmore points that one time. Try asking on the q&a what the amount of $ per point is :)

    26. I've wondered this, too, since I'm thinking of saving for a second doll. I have 3 points from my first purchase (counting the 1 point for joining) and I've wondered what they mean and what they do.

    27. So that's what they are for!
I haven't even received my first dolls but looks like I already have 4.5 points with them (when the dolls arrive)

    28. Are you really sure that it is 1 point = $10 value? That's really hard to believe... I have a good amount of points... enough to buy a Dollmore Kid Suntan doll. I posted to ask them the value of a point... If it is so...someone is coming home with me. D:

EDIT: Well, if the point value is $10 still stands. x__x; Anyway, I asked so I should get an answer soon.

    29. You need to have at laest 10 points before you can actually use them

Please do post when you know the answer! i wasnt 100% sure and have been questioning it myself xD so please let me know what they say

    30. I'm trying to figure out how the Dollmore points work considering I spend so much money there. XD I think I'm either being shorted points or I don't understand how they work.

      See, here's my history:

      +3.16 Waiting
      +1.36 Paid
      +0.58 Paid
      +0.62 Paid
      +0.57 Paid
      +1.09 Paid
      +0.85 Paid
      +0.86 Paid
      +0.51 Paid
      +0.82 Paid
      Joining point 1.00

      Holding points 3.00
Points to be deducted by a purchase 0.00
      Points available 3.00

If I'm adding correctly...11.42 is the points I should have once the order completes. Not 3. And it's been saying that for the last few orders.

Why are my points not calculating correctly? Or are they? Should I ask Dollmore?

    31. Yes this is an issue you should contact dollmore about directly. I've never had any problems with their point calculation system.

    32. Thank you! I have emailed them just now. I was worried maybe I was missing something. XD

    33. hey guys, I'm very confused on the points system dollmore uses and i tried looking for an answer on their Q&A page but it only confused me more!(someone asked the same ? in there)

can someone who's used the points system before explain to me how it works?

example - I want to buy an item that costs 0.88 points/and use the points to pay towards items:

      item 1 costs 0.08 points
      item 2 costs 0.18 points
      item 3 costs 0.25 points

thus making the total to 0.51 in point total...am i able to use the 0.88 points towards these items?

and also whats the deal with this -

so does this mean it has to be 10.00 or 0.10?

      :doh

    34. 10 means 10.00, not 0.10. 0.10 is 10%, or the fraction 1/10.

Items on Dollmore's site don't "cost" points--they cost the dollar amounts that are listed for each item. The point value is 1% of the dollar value. That percentage is credited to your points account after you complete an order. When you use your points, the point value that you use will be deducted from your total order amount at the rate of $1 per point. So, for example, if your order total is $174 and you have 12 points accumulated, your actual payment would be $162.

And if I'm understanding your other question correctly . . . no, you cannot use points toward the item that earns you those very same points. The points are "deposited" after a purchase is completed and paid for, not during the ordering process. You can only use points that are already in your account--that is, points you earned on previous purchases.

Think of it as a kind of bank account: you can't withdraw money that isn't already sitting in the account.

By the way, there are several threads about Dollmore's point system:

    35. thanks so much for clarifying that for me!

it makes a lot more sense now.
      :)

    36. I found several threads about this but none of them on how to use the points.:sweat I´m registered on Dollmore.net and I am a gold member (though I realy don´t know what that means):?and I got 105 points but I have no idea how to use them! :doh
As long as I understand 1 point = one dollar, but i gues the amount of points you can use on one order is limited. But how can you use your points?!:? Help please?

    37. When you go to check out, there should be a section that asks if you want to use your points. You can type in how many of your points you want to use, and it's applied to your order.

However, for the points indicated under the "Gold Member" status, I'm not sure what that number means or if you're able to use them. Mine shows 105 also, but if I click on the "Points" link under my Account, I really only have 12 points. :\ Kind of confusing.

    38. I got double points on my last order, and I'm a gold member too- I have no idea how, but I only ordered one doll, I used nearly all the points I had on her, and then got 2x as many (it actually says '2X' next to the number of points)

Honestly, I love Dollmore XD I don't know what all that means, but it sounds good to me ^_^

    39. Oh man it seems realy confusing to everyone xD I contacted dollmore and it seems the whole 105 points thing is just some kind of member number or something. I found my real point amount under "points".

    40. when you check out it will ask something to effect of "Use Points" and as long as you have I think it is above 2 points you can use as many as you would like {though I am not sure if there is a limit..} but 50 points equal $50 so it will take $50 off your order.

    41. I'm pretty sure 1 point= 1 dollar, I recently used 11 points to check out on my Judith girl and it took off $11... it'd be amazing if 1 point = $10 though, but that seems somewhat too good to be true... still, I've only used points once, so it might have been something different in the past. :)

    42. I just ordered from Dollmore. Thank you for letting me knowabout the points. I thought they were like "Gold Stars" or something. Now I can buy more! using my points.
