Comic-Con International:San Diego 2015 BJD Meetup...Sunday, July 12, Noon-2PM

    1. Hello All!

      Finally I can announce this year's panel/meetup at Comic-Con International in San Diego!

      Comic-Con runs July 9-12, and the meetup is scheduled for Sunday, July 12 from 12pm-2pm. We are in a different room this year, Room 14A on the Mezzanine.

      Joining us this year will be Hideyoshi Shigeta from Volks USA and Bo Bergemann of Bergemann Dolls.

      As always, you must have a membership to the convention to attend, as the panel/meetup is in the convention center. The meetup will begin with a short intro/discussion/Q&A, then the remaining time will be spent as meetup and photo time. We generally have a large variety of BJDs displayed, so feel free to join in!

      Please keep in mind that there are no sales allowed in any of the program spaces.

    2. Got a Pro-Badge this year, but I'm not in the Exhibit Hall, so I might not get down there for this.

      I LOVED Bo Bergmann's talk last year about what went into casting a resin doll! Wow, that was so fascinating! I hope the panel is a great success!

    4. I keep mine in doll carriers for SDCC, too. Just too crowded to be holding anything that might be damaged or have things fall off...!

      *edit* I also have a friend who currently lives in San Diego, but doesn't have a badge. Any chance we can also plan a sub-meet outside of the convention somewhere?

    6. You certainly are free to organize one...I won't be able to, as I will be working onsite and don't generally get to see the outside of the Center during the show other than the endless lines down the back stairs and in Plaza Park.

      I've scheduled this event outside the center in the past, and it really made no difference in attendance. It's such a hassle to come downtown during those days that people simply didn't want to deal with that just for a meetup.

    8. Yay! Excited for the meet! ^_^ I'm also selling at the ANIMECOAST.COM booth A-3 in Hall A. If anyone has any BJD items or dolls you no longer want, please bring them by my booth. I'm always looking to buy/sell/trade, especially boy stuff. <3
