Resin Comparison Color and size comparison of GRANADO to ALL companies

Hello! I have an incoming fem nuevo body in NS and im wondering if any of luts is a resin and proportion match? Im really in love with the a avalanche head even though they are ssdf but neck and head circumferences dont seem too bad for the fem nuevo neck at all.

the other one I know would definitely work is llt's Edria head with a donut but that's my 2nd best pref in terms of face sculpt.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

 

I'm still searching for some authentic body for my hybrid and consider new Granado Zen body as one of a few. In connection with what some questions appeared.
Does Granado resin have a visible translucence, like Ringdoll resin? I cannot figure it out from photos, because more often there is a head from Granado on another brand's body, and its face-up brings a mess. I only know that their new normal is slightly pallid and yellowish than Dollshe oriental, but what about opacity?

 

Ringdoll doesn't really do the translucent skin (anymore). My Kay from 2012 was french/semi-translucent normal skin, but their current resin is opaque Granado on the other hand always was opaque.

 

Agree with @meanae... all my Granado boys, from whatever year, are opaque. No translucency at all.

Honestly, I'm not about so called french or imported resin. I meant such effect when doll's contour seems fuzzy comparing with more "solid" details from another company. I used to notice it about plastics of Ringdoll, LLT, some tan skintones from DZ, Doll Family, Loong Soul. I guess, it's because of UV-protection addmixtures... But often such hybrids may look like a soap head on a gypsum body or vice versa.

For all the clarity, maybe, someone can show new normal detail from Granado near something of DZ/DC/Doll Leaves with normal pink skintone (since middle 2017 batches).

 

Do you know if any Granado resin matches any of Dollzone resin?

 

Hey everyone, I thought this would be interesting to share:

Granado Lads Plus in normal skin vs. Switch Humming Dolly Body in ns:

The skin colour is the same.
Granado NS is also compatible with Oasisdoll.

The remarkable difference is the proportions: the feet and hands of Granado's body are much smaller than Switch's.

The posing ability and stability is amazing (only minus point is that the elbow joints don't allow the arm to come close to the body when holding the arm up, but that can be made up with photography angles or hand poses)

The jointed hands are very stable, they can grip and hold even heavier props.
As you can see I totally love the body
For my doll, it was the best decision. Before, he was bulky and clumsy (my Switch body is not very stable, not even after re-stringing) now he has this fragile elegance

Oh and one important aspect in the end: the penis is sculpted with more love to detail and realism

Could someone compare granado sunshine with soom tan?

 

A long shot here, but does anyone have a Nuevo male body side by side with an Iplehouse Muscle SID or Impldoll 65 boy version 2 body?? I did see the one head swap image by @Jany but would really appreciate a more full body comparison.
Color match doesn't matter. I'm much more concerned with height/build difference. I have the Nuevo body, but I really would like to have seen how he compares to either of those bodies before I commit to buy one of them.
On a related note... Can Uriel specifically fit on an SID or Impl 65 V2 neck?? My plans have been tossed a bit on their ears and I'm trying to figure out who needs to be reshelled.

Ahhhhh! Thank you @Quiet and Insane This is EXACTLY what I needed to seeeee!! Besides the fact that Granado looks like a Stick in side profile compared to SID, I think this combo will work perfectly for my couple!! (I just won't photograph them together in full profile lol)
If I'm SUPER ambitions, I might shorten the Granado thighs by maybe half a cm or so, but I can live with him being taller. I always did think the Nuevo was just a bit too long in the leg anyways.

Oh, I do have one more small question for you. Is your SID fellow pictured NS or Peach Gold?? I'm assuming that my Granado body has a similar yellow tone as yours. It's quite dark compared to the NS Iple head I have, so I'm considering going Peach Gold when I order so my other guy isn't Pasty As Heck compared to him, lol.

Yes, the side view of the Nuevo is very thin, but just look at those calves! Pants are a problem and not in the usual "Oops you can see his butt" kind of way!

SID body is normal from 2018, Nuevo is white from 2015. The latter has a very old coat of MSC, which does make him look a little more yellow, not helped by the fact my room is very dark and all the lighting is very yellow toned as well. I could get a better colour comparison in natural light if that would help?

 

Thank you, but my Granado is NS. I have a feeling that going with Peach Gold will give me a comparable color difference as your NS and WS together. The Nuevo NS has mellowed to a pretty dark yellow peach. The one Iple head I do have looks SO pale on it.
I do have a picture of it next to a yellowed Luts and a brand new Fairyland NS, but it's on my phone and my Flickr is on my PC and I've been too lazy to to a photo dump recently.

My plan is crazy, but I care more about the characters than the effort of resin matching. I will order a PG SID Alberto from Doll Choice. Alberto will go on the Granado body, and the NS Noel I have already will go on the SID body. I will let Alberto sit in the sun for a little while to mellow the pinkiness out of him a bit before blushing him to match Granado.

 

Ah I see! It should work sort of? I've never seen Granado normal in person, only the white, tan, bronze, and sunshine.

You're welcome, glad it's useful! And that's true, there's so much variation it's sometimes hard finding bodies that work. ;; But the Granado heads I have (Agent Mads and V-07) work best on 12-13cm necks, in my experience though. Under 11cm for the 70cm guys ends up looking too skinny in the neck usually.

My pleasure! Not many calls for comps with Titans, so happy to give mine more face time. The head on my Dollshe is a minimee Chris Evans. I do have the David head around here somewhere, just not sure where. If I can find it, I'll take another picture of the 2 together. (thanks! That outfit is from SatoriaJ, their King Arthur (Author) set. )

 

I love the Titans. Well, I love Saturn. I just have some issues with the body (mostly the arms look too short to me). But their necks are so thick, I don't think the head would fit on anything other than the Titan body. Most other beefy 75cm bodies have 13cm necks, while the Titan is 16cm...don't think it'd work lmao.
He looks good on the Dollshe body! If you do ever find your David, I would absolutely love to see him and Saturn together. If I did have the two of them, they'd be friends, so I do want them to look mostly good together lol. (it's gorgeous, he looks great in it even without a face, eyes, or hair!)

Would anyone happen to have a Titan and a male Iplehouse HID head they could try together? I don't care about the resin match, just the fit.

Tried my Enoch and Mads heads on a Ringdoll RGMbody-3. Mads is a larger head than Enoch is (I can get a pic of them side by side if anyone wants).

The body is in normal (from 2020-2021, not 100% sure on date as it came as an in-stock doll but can't be older than 2020).
Enoch is new normal (from 2020) and is more yellow than Ringdoll.
Mads is white (from 2020). Ringdoll normal is no longer pale enough to match Granado white, like it apparently used to be.

His head kept snapping to this position, didn’t matter if I tried to make him look up or down. I think if where the s-hook rests inside the head was modified, then he might be able to hold positions. The elastic is right up against the front of the neck.

Mads had better mobility than Enoch, though this was the extent he could look up. The elastic is also close to the front of the neck with him, so maybe modifying where the s-hook rests would also help.

So I can't believe I hadn't shared here how HUGE some of the newer Granado heads are (specifically those meant for the 75Adagio body). Just a caveat to those who are thinking of getting a doll on the 75cmAdagio.

Noah on an Impldoll Idolman FGB -- obviously what was workable on Michael (and maybe some of the smaller heads) before does NOT work on 75cm Noah. I ended up having to order the 75Adagio for him because I don't have unlimited funds to try to hybrid him on another company's 75cm body.

Can anybody show me either or both Granado White and New Normal skins next to any or all of the following:
Doll Zone/Doll Chateau Normal Pink
Doll Zone/Doll Chateau White (they have changed this several times, so the 2017ish one that is yellow, not the stark white ones)
Dream Valley Normal Pink
Myou Doll Normal Skin
DollShe Craft Pale

That will help me get an idea of how close the colour is to the more obscure artist doll I am trying to match. I am suspecting that the New Normal skin might be slightly too dark and slightly too yellow, but it’s really hard to tell when every comparison I find is against companies whose resin I don’t own!

 

I have a 5star super star male body, but not sure what would work for your purposes. Would a Michael head? I also have a Mars or Enoch head. None of them will color match the white body. Oh, I have a Jaden head too. And a Raguel and Jupiter. A few others. Maybe I just do them all some time...

I am not sure I can believe this, what year is that Myou Doll NS that matches 2D pink? Because my Myou Doll NS - a recent doll - is very very yellow-based. Like… not yellowed, just actually yellow based. I just photographed it next to Dream Valley Normal Pink right now, and it looks positively lemon in comparison. (link)

I can get pics of 2020 White & New Normal next to 2022 Dollshe Pale and 2021 Dollzone white (it's a yellow toned white), if that would help?

Both of those are pretty ideal, and assuming Dollshe hasn't changed his pale formula too much since I got mine, that should give me a good idea of relative colour.

When is your pale from? My mom has one from...2014/15 (I can't remember exactly when he arrived). If that's closer to the age of yours, I could add it into the mix.

@Swampruler Thank you, this helps too! It reassures me that Granado is more of a pink base than Myou, which was my biggest worry before. I’m trying to match with an artist doll, so nothing will be perfect, but if nothing else I at least need a pinker base rather than a yellow base. That underlying tint will make the biggest difference to the illusion of matching, especially in photos.

I think I feel reasonably safe in getting new normal colour now! It might be slightly too dark, but when I blush the doll it will look a bit darker than the base colour anyway.

Does anyone have a comparison of Granado New Normal (preferably newer) and Dollnoize Pink, IOS Normal, or Luts Normal? I'm wanting a Rosen Garden Tarluc head and the artist said he should match closely to those three and I'm wanting to get a Granado Embody for him

Looking for colour match between Iple House Normal or Peach Gold head (SID Eric) and Granado body (Adagio70) lighter shades - New Normal, Windfresh, Apricot.
Would the Normal and New Normal match?
And Peach gold would match to Windfresh or Apricot?
The character I'm after is a natural read head, so he needs a very pale skin, but not totally white, even the palest redheads have a little bit of cool, slightly pink colour. Is Peach Gold slightly pink?
Found some photos showing size proportions, looks ok. Some gentle persuasion (i.e. sanding) might be needed to fit the head on the neck. Or not. The size difference is really small. I'll be very careful. The wig will cover a lot anyway.

I don't know about the new Granado colours, but I can say for sure that Iplehouse Peach Gold will be far too dark for what you're looking for. Normal will probably be your best bet if you what a pale, realistic skin tone. Sadly my only Granados are a very old white, a tan, and a bronze, so can't do any comparisons.

 

I have an Iplehouse Normal and Granado New Normal. Match is pretty close but not perfect, I'll snap a photo and link it here when I have natural light.

Yes, that's right about the Peach Gold, now when I look at my human family photos and videos, I begin to think even actual white could be closer to reality. Peach will be an overkill.
Waiting impatiently for the photo! And fingers crossed the IH is the darker/brighter one. As the head normally gets sunshine and weather but the body is protected by clothing and doesn't tan that much. Especially if the person actively shields from the sun to avoid getting burnt. Some burn through a hoodie.

Yes, there is some difference but I think I still go for it. After all there will be some face up, some body blushing, wig, clothes, posing, not like this when the pieces are specially set up for comparison and I look at them intensely. Granado is more shiny.

 

Is luts normal at least able to match granado normal with a faceup?

 

Well technically, you can make just about anything match with the faceup. I think those two would be pretty easy to match via faceup; Luts might be slightly more pink/peach before correction, so some pink/peach to the body would help make that all come together.

 

Personally I don't really like doing body blushing so I'd prefer to change the head's shade first but I'm glad it's pretty easy

 

It's /definitely/ easier to blush the head rather than the body, for sure. I've done both and the body just takes heaps more pastels, as one might imagine. But you can make a pink head tan with enough pastels or paint. I did look at pics of the Luts normal and I have some Granado normal, which is yellow-based. Unfortunately, these colors can differ a bit by year but the Luts did seem peachier. In a case like that, if it's easier, just adding a few slashes of the pinker color to the collarbone and neckline of the yellower resin can be enough. I am fully convinced you can match them one way or another, though. Best wishes!
