Cocoriang: Off-Topic Dolls

@bentosmile , oh yea! Daksae! He would have been my second choice. Did they even say how many of each were available? I noticed a white Phoja in a photo taken of a sale table at some doll event too.

 

@phanuel I don't think they said officially, but I went and browsed through the Etc section on each site version, and counted 4 of each doll on each (except for Daksae, where there were only 3 on one. I dunno why.) So, I feel a little sneaky, but it looks like there were around 12 winners for each doll

 

@bentosmile , I just hope they got all the entries they needed to sell the dolls they have. They should be sending them soon. I did order a few other things so I don't know if that will hold mine up.

EDIT: I don't know why I thought the dolls were already made and would be sent right away! I see they are predicting the end of June for a shipping date. I'm glad I noticed that or I'd be getting antsy.

 

I was weak… Hubby and I have been dying for an orange Niya forever. I swear we couldn’t hit the buy button fast enough. But then of course after adding clothing, accessories, extra face plate, factoring in conversion rates to CAD and shipping costs, it was a bit of a rude awakening. I wish we had bought the Lupin set but hubby didn’t want it and it was already adding up quickly lol. Hopefully I can get it second hand eventually. I know they’re set to start shipping Niyas at the end of June, but we also ordered a hair part that says shipping in September. Anyone know if there is anyway this is outdated info, or will they hold my whole order until September? Either way it can’t come soon enough!

Now Cococriang please wait til my finances recoup before releasing any kind of black Mocka…

 

The June ship date was how I justified trying the lottery because I was like "well, it's kiiind of close to my birthday, so if I win it's a present for me!" XD I'm so bad...

@StarCat Yay, I went for an orange Niya too! Because yup, too weak when it comes to fox dolls. o_o; (this'll be my... eighth fox-type doll I think. idk, foxes everywhere!) I felt a bit bad as I'd just spent on Daksae, so I just went for a naked basic one :3 though I did get the little grey Mitey which comes with it too.

I have a wishlist I'm trying to stick to, and Niya was on it. Now I just gotta get Moco, and I'll have everything I want from Cocoriang... for now! (I have no doubt they'll release a new sculpt in the future that I'll have to have, haha)

 

I didn't know cocoriang is off topic. They are cute dolls. I recently ordered a cocoriang.

I was just thinking that! The look is really missing either a cap or a scarf, or maybe both. I'm just not sure what size to look for.

 

And then I just ordered a Rose Meringue Crail... I just couldn't resist it!

I already have a Crail, so I was going to resist, but I love love love the way the Rose Meringue version is painted! I justified getting this one by choosing to get it with wings, which the Crail I have doesn't have, so that they are more different from each other...

@bentosmile @EagleVision1999 , I was happy to get Mitey. I actually ordered him with the two little guys but they forgot to add him in the package. But I ordered the Whiteday Phoja about a week later and had them send him with her.

 

I made this birthday card for my son-in-law who's a chef at an Italian restaurant. The picture of the pizza is actually one of theirs and it has some tentacles on it so I added Armand Legge along with the mushrooms.

OH MY GOD THERE IS A MUSHROOM ONE???? this is the greatest thing I've seen, I need him.

just popping in to ask about moco, the sculpt is so cute. but with how tiny they are, how well do they hold poses? I was thinking of putting one on my wishlist, but I'm not sure what to do with such a small doll... is there clothes that fit them other than what Cocoriang sells themselves or would I have to make them myself?
also when asking about clothes I'm referring to ones that would fit the fairy body!

 

@strawberry_parade , unfortunately the mushroom was limited. I don't know if Cocoriang brings back their limited dolls or not but maybe he'll pop up on the marketplace. Good luck!

There were at least two orders for the mushroom. I know this because I was only able to get it during the second order period. So there's hope. Maybe ask on their Q&A Board?

 

Definitely keep an eye out. The limited dolls do come around again, often in different colours though.

@strawberry_parade wrt moco, I can only comment on fairy body versions as I always go for that. I don't remember any trouble with my arno, although it's been a while since I had him out of his box. ^^; They say sylvanian families clothes fit, although I haven't forced any of my sylvanians to go naked so I can try XD

I'm glad I found this thread, because I've been spamming on instagram and with my friends and I think they're tired of it.

But I *FINALLY* was able to snag a Cocoriang Tobi... I missed the purple *and* the gray orders and then found someone selling a little dude from the 2017 gray preorder. So I snagged him up! He's probably my favorite bjd right now... demands no clothes, no wigs. LOL

 

Cocoriang is having some Halloween doll sale. It's a purple dog and cat. There is cute Chu Chu in orange. Your doll is so cute. I really want the cocoriang. Is it hard to get second hand on these? I am passing on it because of some other dolls I rather have more.

I have a fox and unicorn one.

 

I haven't seen too many second hand Cocoriang, especially ones in the limited colors, granted I only know the ones being sold on Instagram as it's the only other Doll Community I have besides DoA (where they're off topic).

I'm super sad I had to skip the orange Niya earlier this year but hoping I can find one someday I love the limited colors the best.

 

I never noticed this thread before. I have phoja from the first order period but he's been in a drawer most of the time sadly. My living situation doesn't really give me a place I want to put out the very small decorative dolls. everything cocoriang makes is so cute though. I always loved Tobi.

 

The best part about cocoriang dolls though is that I feel they can be photographed doing anything easily. They're not bound by human constraints.

Cocoriang is the only really small dolls I'm okay collecting and the some small Soom bjds. I feel like I would sell off other dolls in this size, but maybe I will learn to like it. Is purple a limited color?

I have Niya in orange. It's actually my first cocoriang. The vibrant orange caught my eye.

I notice cocoriang bjds are used like props in instagram photos with the bigger bjds. It's really cute. I wasn't really open to buying the smaller bjds, but they look cute as props. That's how I bought two.

 

Oh thank you @twylight thats so nice of you. I love the little fella. He's very silly. I want to do some pictures of him with other dolls when I get around to photographing some of my fantasy world characters together. I hope I can get it together soon I really love the way my 1/3 dolls look with tiny dolls as interesting companions.
Anthros I think are a weakness of mine and I have a stupid relationship with them where I really love them but more as a sit on the shelf and adore them and then feel guilty and sell them in hard times and rebuy new anthros in better times kind of way.
I would love some orange and purple resin dolls. Those and green are my favorite colors.

 

The regular color for Cocoriang is white which can be ordered at any time. Any other color is usually a limited release - either a time period release or a limited number - which they do repeat but it seems like there are long periods between each color release and specific dolls chosen. Tobi had a limited period purple release last December and then the current purple release for Moco and Mocka is limited number and First Come First Serve.

I do know that Cocoriang takes colored dolls to events they attend (to my eternal jealousy since I live too far form any of them)

I'm naturally drawn to tinies my first dolls were Pukipuki's and I loved Sylvanian Families/Calico Critters growing up, so if Cocoriang had been around ten years ago my collection would be very different, lol. I see a lot of photoshoots of Cocoriang with miniatures.

 

Just got a notice that my last Cocoriang order is on its way and now I see they're releasing some fun Halloween items.
I'm in a perpetual cycle of ordering and waiting with them!
But I guess that's the way companies should work--no advertising new releases until the old ones are finished.

 

I managed to snag the Halloween FCFS Daksae and Chuchu this morning in my half asleep brain fog. If they open Halloween Mocka for pre-order I may also try for one.

 

I only ordered the Chuchu and the little devil accessories but I just got notice that they are already on their way!

Is anyone looking to order Marshmellow Groomy? They're so cute, I feel personally attacked by the perfect design. I want to wait with someone while the doll is being made. (Preorders close February and we probably won't see the doll til early December.)

It's hard to see in the photos but the ears have a soft gradient. I love the sweet theme design.

I think this doll is exclusively for order through AmiAmi? At least for international customers. I often order other stuff from AmiAmi, so was pleasantly surprised when this cutie popped up in their new preorders!

Well, for AmiAmi, you pay when they ship. Since this doll is set for a November release, you only have to pay in November.

 

Don't tell me that.
I think I still better wait it's a lot of money when I have other things like a new computer I need to save for. So I will have to just admire photos and hope she makes it into my life in the future.

 

OMG, that pastel Groomy really is perfect! Does anyone have a link to the listing though? I can't find any resin dolls on Amiami right now, let alone Cocoriang.
