Large Coastal Adventurers (Pandora, Vincent Vampire)

Greetings! I hope you are having a nice summer so far, in the northern hemisphere.
(I actually hate summer now, and especially the ocean, which is sad because this is where I am living, but I try to seize the opportunity anyway, and turn it into something acceptable...)
So uh, I have been poorly and trying to take the dolls out very fast to some different places to cheer myself up. Eh
I will narrate with my own tiresome angst which I hope will really add to the atmosphere of teenagers on vacation.

Chris went with me down to the island and we took the tourist photo by the gigantic mermaid at a shop

I caught a man who was there with his partner (I assume) to take their photo looking fondly at us (me, my doll and human companion all looking like similarly colorful weirdos...)

We made it to Whitecap Beach and yeah ... There's the ocean ... Woo

Anyway, I was glad to leave

Yesterday I went to a city park with Chantal. It's a really good one that I forget about so I look forward to going back. There are lots of different vistas there and I didn't have time or light to explore them all this time.

First time I ever went here I met the couple who lives in the house behind her here on the Bayfront. I think it's strange because overall people around here seem very unpleasant but they are so often *positively enchanted* by me trying to take my dumb doll photos

I make sure to wallow in the grass and get bitten once by every insect. There were so many pretty wildflowers here! Strange succulents grow by the ocean too.

After this we sat under a cabana on the little table there by the garbage can. Once painted a bold public service blue and now chipped off and scrawled with enthralling boasts about the size of people's private parts and other hilarious nonsense. (As juvenile graffiti is)

Thank you @Jareth that makes me very happy. This is a favorite dress two of my girls can wear in the summertime and I love this hair too. I trimmed the gross ends and resized it for her recently

 

Yep, it's as hot as the center of hell here. I would kill to be 58F luckily when you are within view of the sea it cools it down a bit. It's nice if it's not too windy.

Aw thank you @CutiesaurousRex the shirt was made from one I found at the thrift.
I have only been to California once, when I was much younger, San Francisco in the summer. I remember how cool and foggy it was by the ocean in the evening. But California is huge with some really hot parts, right? It's miserable in the summer here on the Gulf coast. It's weird because I remember how summer used to be my favorite season but I just can't take it as hot as it is now.
I hope you can stay cool. At least summer isn't forever! (Yet)
