Another few photos of Gwyn, because I can't help myself. He's too pretty...





I'm not used to a doll this big being so easy to just take out and about for photos... The lack of weight REALLY helps.

 

He's made of ABS and PVC! Mostly ABS, I'd guess. If you've ever handled a Hujoo doll, similar to those--but he's even lighter than my 60cm Hujoo Io, I think. I have yet to get photos of them together to really compare, but he's got a great surface texture.

 

Yes and yes! On their Weibo, they've shared people using the bodies for hybrids with resin heads and it looks great. They even include 2 neck pieces to accommodate more 70cm-class heads, so I'd say they're well aware of their hybrid potential and want to encourage it. (They're also working on a 75cm body!) They're pretty much exactly liked resin BJDs except for the material, obviously, and a few very specific construction differences. (There's a slight seam on the bicep, for example, where you can see the upper arm was made in 2 pieces and then assembled together.)
