Clothes that fit Dollzone Happy?

May 25, 2023

    1. Hello! I’m very new here, so I hope this is the right place to post this (I wasn’t sure if it belonged here or in the newbie forum?). I have my first BJD arriving in the mail tomorrow, which is very exciting, but I just got the blank doll with no clothing, so I want to get her some temporarily clothes until I’m able to order her something fancy! So my question is, are there any doll clothes for “regular” dolls (Barbie, MH, etc.) that would fit these measurements? I’m trying to decide if it’s worth a trip to the store where they carry clothes that would fit, or if I shouldn’t bother. I’ve never seen a YOSD in person (my roommate collects, but all of his are larger) so I’m having a hard time visualizing the measurements aside from height. Any help would be appreciated!

    2. It looks like your DollZone Happy shares the same (or similar) body to DollZone Milky Tea, and my mom has one of those. Barbie tops can definitely fit if they are not too long, but not the bottoms. Barbie skirts can fit if they are stretchy or wide/poofy enough.

Slim MSD and MSD bottoms (shorts) that are stretchy or have an elastic waist fit her pretty comfortably, as well. (I know you’re mainly asking about regular doll clothes, but thought this might be helpful, as well.)

That body can be a challenge to clothe, but it just takes some time to learn what fits them best.:)

    3. I have that body but with the little deer head Dollzone was giving away as a freebie. She’s currently wearing a Blythe doll dress that I made a few years ago.
I second the Barbie clothes. A dress with a full/flared skirt should work well.

    4. Blythe dresses would work but beware of long sleeves with tight wrist/hand holes. Blythe and barbie have smaller hands ! I only order Barbie or Blythe doll items with sleeves if there is elastic in the sleeve bottom (such as peasant top sleeves) or they are sleeveless. Sometimes you can put a peasant top under a sleeveless dress or jumper if you want the sleeves! There are so many cute and inexpensive Blythe dresses on Etsy! Crochet and knitted items are stretchy and often are an even better fit for these hard-to-fit dolls!

    5. Thanks everyone for the help! It’s been very useful advice. I got her some placeholder clothes and found some from a friend’s collection that fit her fairly well while I’m waiting for the clothes I ordered!
