Aww, thanks!

Most of my faceplates are meant to represent a different individual per plate, but since some of the Chibi faceplates have such strong expressions, I thought I'd do an experiment and have one girl with different expressions -- but the dots are kind of a unifying factor that helps represent that they're all the "same" girl.

(I've seen similar dots in some anime art and on some face-ups before and have always thought it's a really cute touch, and when I saw ClockworkAngel do a face-up with the dots, I asked if she could include them on my girl!)

Hi guys...

Can someone help answer a few questions for me? I've got a friend who wants to sell me her Roron. She says it's the basic Roron with all regular default parts from the original ordering period. However, cresent took down the page from the orgiginal ordering period so I have no idea what parts those were.

Also, can you guys tell me if it's possible to switch the bust parts for the bigger bust, and if they offered that as an option at all? ...and are the two bodies the same except for the bust?

I've read that these dolls fit the outfits for minifee's (just the pants are a bit long), and the bernadine creedy dolls. Is that correct? Does that apply to both the busty and flat chested girls?

...and lastly, can roron and lilin faceplates be interchanged?

Thanks for the help! I've been going thru the database and threads on DoA and I do love this chubby little girl... I just am picky about faces (and would prefer the bigger bust). I know i'll eventually be able to identify the different faceplates and then get the one I like when the next optional parts sale comes up, so i'm not too worried about that.

 

Dianne, the bust parts can't be switched, the whole body is slightly different (Lilin has marginally curvier hips.)

Minifee-waist pants fit well, but will definitely be too long. Capri pants/leggings should fit. I only have Lilins (x2), so I can't say what would fit Roron, but most clothes seem to look good on both (Roron is a bit more versatile because she doesn't have the large chest to work around.) They can wear Narsha clothes, and I've found that most clothes that fit Unoa/Narae work pretty well, as long as they're short-sleeved or the sleeves can be pushed up.

Roron and Lilin faces can be interchanged, and all the option faces work with either body.

If I remember correctly, in the original ordering period you could only order Lilin and Roron default dolls, a stand, and bunny ears. I don't think there were any other options at that time.

Also, a lot of people didnt buy the stand.

 

Yes, I did too but I was thinking of the things you could purchase. I know a lot of people didn't get the stand or the ears. I got the stand but don't use it much. My dolls often sit like me.

 

Thank you. Both girls are wearing 12 mm Gumdrop eyes. They are my favorite for Chibis and the 1.5 girls but I only have a couple pairs.

 

Ashbet those turned out really nice. Love that they are all the same character. I like how she does the blush and cheek highlight.

DiSpy: Basic Roron came with default faceplate. Acrylic eyes, the eyemechanism, three teeth parts. boy part and I think as a
Christmas present they they sent a pack of postcards with a non drilled thigh part for testing airbrush and also the unicorn horns. And at time of order they offered stand and bunny ears as options.

 

i traded my lilin prim & proper faceplate with jirachi for a roron prim & proper, and i have to say i am totally over the moon it's like all of my lusis love condensed into a little chibi package haha

(i can't wait until the eye GO i'm in comes in so she has more eyes and i don't have to keep swapping the same pair of eyes all the time lol)

anyways, some pics of my girl! the faceplate is so cute, i'm a sucker for dolls with partly open lips. and i felt compelled to take pics of her kissing so my poor seorin got roped in since he was within arm's reach lol

 

I love that faceplate. I think it's one of the most beautiful ones. And yes, she looks like a little chibi Lusis. Congrats.

My goodness, it seems I have been away from DoA for too long! It is that time of year when yard work is priority number one! But now that my garden is in, I can get back to my kids! I finally finished Jordan’s hoodie. It has been sitting on my sewing table for sometime. Quinn has been enjoying hers and poor Jordan was feeling left out!

I also finally finished his second faceplate. This is one of the three that I ordered. I love the expression on this one. He really looks like quite a young child. And I think I am finally getting better with my airbrushing. The first time through this faceplate I was not happy with it so I wiped it off. This time it went so smooth. I am really enjoying airbrushing the faces now. I still have the sleeping face to do but need to get the faceplate done for my new Unoa Lusis kit done. And then there are all those pattern requests to get to……never ends!

dollswest Wow, Jordon looks great. I really love that faceplate but didn't order it for two reasons...one, I didn't want to spend that much money and, two, I thought it looked too mature for my girl. Well, you certainly proved that it could look young and sweet and innocent. I just love it. Now I wish I had ordered it. Oh well, there's always next time.

MysNiin: As of the moment the default plates are only being sold in the kits. Not too long ago there was a preorder for option parts though. You could get the plate onto a 1.0/1.5 unoa headback if you sanded the two tabs off of the top and used a bit of tape or eye putty to hold it. So you could also probably get it on a kaye/aisy headback (in theory). I don't know if Araki-sama plans on putting either their option parts or kits up for sale in his webshop or not though, sorry.

 

Blarg finally got my brennil cords and they didnt fit Ynja at all (they are just MNF size which is alright since I have mnf's).
I almost wish I could just send of my girl to all my favorite seamstresses and have them all draft patterns for her, only problem is I would miss her too much >_< (besides everytime she would come back into the country I would have to pay taxes for her again)

 

I bought some Unoa 2. Jeans some time ago from Atelier Momoni..they fit my girl to perfection a tad long ..but thats a small fault

 

Wow I wonder why they don't fit. I remember you saying that other Brennil MNF pants fit her. Are these tighter?

Nahhh Laura its the different dirrection, they are HUGE on her, the cords are already quite loose on the mnf they are on right now.

I got Ynja a wig and some new eyes, once the eyes arrive I am so spamming her like mad

 

So... I picked up my new Roron girl over the weekend!

I absolutely adore her, and will post pics later... but I had a question. I see pics of the default roron faceplate with the open mouth and a row of top teeth and a tongue in some pics... but I only have 3 sets of teeth... the one with missing teeth (gap toothed grin), the vampire one and one that has both top and bottom teeth (no tongue). Am I missing one? Or was one painted to look like it just has top teeth and a tongue? (I really like that one.)

Also, I wanted to add that the roron body fits a whole bunch of my volks and dollheart Yo-SD size dresses (they are a bit short, but it's cute looking... and they have to have short sleeves... but the waist and bust fit just fine)... I've been experimenting all morning trying to find a good look for her... hehe (so fun).

 

You have the correct teeth sets. The one with top teeth and tongue is just painted that way (the top and bottom tooth set). Congrats on getting her!

I like to be unique, too ^^; I'm not out to 'steal' the face-up it's just that the brush strokes looked familiar so I wanted to know. Mingyi always does such detailed work. Congrats! I hope you spam many pictures of her~ :]

Wow! So much cuteness! I just love the yancha faceplate. And the pouty one. And the proper one. And.. Well, I love them all.

There's currently a Roron on the Marketplace, and I'm *incredibly* tempted. But before I decide on anything I thought I'd better ask the experts Will there be another pre-order period for these lovelies, as there is with the other Unoas? Or should I take this chance?

DiSpy Yey!! I'm so happy you have your girl. She's adorable and looks so happy. I have applies lashes to my Roron default faceplate and no applied lashes to my other two faceplates. Honestly I don't mind them without the lashes. One less thing to get ruined. LOL But it's really a personal preference.

Blossom Man she is adorable. I love her faceup especially the pale lips. This faceplate is definitely the prettiest of all of them. I'm sorry I didn't get one. I also think it's the most mature of all of them which is why I didn't order one because I wanted my chibi to look very young. Anyway, she's gorgeous. Congrats. BTW who did the faceup?

My little Claudia have never had the chance to say "Hello!" to everybody in this thread.
That is because I just did a quick faceup just for fun while I was waiting for the faceplates to be on sale
(and I´m still waiting for them) so I could give them faceups at the same time.

But this weekend we had a dollmeet with the theme "The Asylum"
and Claudia looked to cute so I have to post a picture.



Of course there was no alcohol on the dollmeet,
the bottle was just decoration but Claudia became "the green fairy"
so she had to pose with it.

 

Claudia is adorable and I'm so glad you decided to post a picture of her. I very much enjoy seeing everyone's Chibi's. There are not enough around and I go through withdrawal when I do see them often. LOL Love that color wig on her. Is it one of the new Leeke colors?

 

laurmann2000: Yes it is ^^ It was the spring limited green color they had. Mistygreen? She is a nymph so the wig is great! (but I really really want the faceplates to arrive so I can remake the faceup)

 

Hi, I'm wondering whether there is any sign or maybe speculation about another chibi release this year? I've been looking on the unoa-forum for a bit but I couldn't find anything. I know there was a message about them going into the webshop a few months ago but haven't seen anything about that since... Could you guys help me please?

 

yes as we have previously mentioned it seems Chibi will enter the WEBSHOP among others sometime before the end of this year, so this doesn't quite mean right away but hopefully soon. just the other day the categories were added to the WEBSHOP for the rest of the kits. What does that mean? I duno..but even if that doesn't eventually happen I guess Chibi will be back for a preorder in a few months since it's been a while since last time..hold in there guys!^___^

 

I couldn't wait... I bought the roron in the marketplace. She's paid for and hopefully arriving soon!

Oh, and I read through the entire chibi thread too, so I think I know all about wigs and eyes and shoes now.

 

Sorry to invade your thread XD, bur does anyone have both a lusis and a roron pout face? I'm wondering if the pout face looks similar enough to lusis to be an optional plate for her. Thanks!

 

I can't believe I never knew there was such a thing as a chibi Unoa! I have always loved the regular 1.5 unoas, and now that I saw the chibis my heart is set on them, too. I especially love the small-busted body, but I'm not sure which faceplate I like best. Anyway, I just read through the whole thread and I really enjoyed everyone's pictures Thank you for sharing them!
