I’ve finally finished Charlie’s long awaited gown - just in time for the holiday. Charlie is a fresh resin Dollstown 17 (original) body with LLdT ws Edria head painted by the amazing LynRaftis. Her wig is by Amadiz. Her eyes are gorgeous 14mm Gumdrops urethane eyes. Her DT17 hands were replaced with ws Iplehouse EIDf hands - beautifully blushed by Iplehouse. The gown has a silk tafetta bodice, fully lined in Swiss batiste. (I made the pattern based on an image I’d seen.) The micro-sequin skirt has two petticoats underneath and a cage crinoline (what an intricate job that was!!). The sequin fabric is heavy enough that it needed a crinoline to give it the desired shape. The under-petticoat is white batiste with French cotton lace and pintucks. The over-petticoat is simple pale pink batiste - to cover the crinoline and stop ‘see-thru’ the mesh of the micro-sequin skirt. a closeup of the silk bodice and her beautiful hands and showing off the undergarments! the simple pink petticoat too and one last look
Wow, the doll and the dress are just wonderful. I think my daughter would fall in love with a dress like that.
Wow - great work of art! The color and the cut flatter the beautiful little Lady. Just fantastic! My admiration for the creation and the great work Merry Chrismas
It's stunning! Looks like a perfect gown for a Princess or a Queen. Bravo and you did an awesome job.
