Rati is off to a good start! Her little hat is soooooo cute. Juni wants a whole pirate crew for that ship of hers - I need more goblins from Daisy Dayes as they are the perfect size

They must officially be a herd now.
And OMG that carosel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Yes I have achieved official herd status (gov't regulations state you have to have 6 to qualify for herd status ). And the carosel is pure squee worthy in person. It actually works, animals go around and up/down, it plays 40 different songs (20 are christmas but the other 20 are songs you'd hear played for carosels) and it lights up! That is/was my doll show find of the century!!

Dragonlovesdolls, leave the ride to Omi. Come to Holland we have here a beautiful park with a big Carousel and we can ride together.

hi, erm, Is it true these dolls glow? I have one of the new fidelias, but I am worried about putting her in the light of the room to charge up her glow, regards uv light and yellowing. does anyone charge theirs up? and what color do they glow please? i have tried a few pukipuki wigs on her and they fit really well, and realpuki clothes fit, and little dal and petite blythe. having lots of fun with her xx

 

Hi deedee71! Yes, the fireflies do glow & it is safe to put them in light to charge them up! I think the new ones are off topic here but I can tell you that my first edition is now 4 years old & I cannot see any yellowing at all althought I really don't intentionally put her in direct sunlight. Glad that you are enjoying her, they really are sweet & special little ones.

 

Hi deedee71, I have a first edition Fuuga and she glows blue when she gets charged up (I believe the Fidelia's glowed green). She does well in room light for charging but really loves the sun. She remains true to her original color as well. Amelia Thimble clothes will also fit these dolls perfectly. A lot of older Kelly clothes will fit good as well (newer ones tend to be way too big now as I think Kelly must have "grown" over the past couple of years), Kelly shoes are also a perfect fit size wise. I think Jonlyn is correct in saying that the new generation FF are off-topic on this forum now as Charles has been officially banned from this forum for some time.

 

Hi deedee71, here is a picture of my Fuuga "Omi" glowing. She loves the sun and though she has yellowed just a little bit, it even and very mellow and adds to her charm. I would not deprive her of her SUN time because she LOVES to glow!

hi jonlyn, mu shu and dragonlovesdolls, thank you all so much for your replies, dragonlovesdolls your fuuga is gorgeous I love her delicate faceup I love the fireflies, they are so delicate, I have had her out in the room al day, so I will sneak a peak at her now it is dark, it's difficult because she is hiding from my husband

DLD - Omi's got a nice glow going on there! Juni so loves the sun over room lights to really get recharged. Of course the days are getting shorter so not a lot of sunlight left by the time I get home from work. I hate getting to the 'go to work in the dark, come home in the dark' time of the year.

Jonlyn - It's not that Kelly just put on some weight but also got a little taller - I believe they've tried to make her more "sexy" which is entirely wrong!

deedee - I forgot to add that "Ty Little Ones" clothes are an absolute perfect fit for the FF as well. Most of those can be found fairly cheaply on ebay.

heheh, I am glad it isn't just my dolly that is hiding from the hubby, lol, i don't think i have seen ty little ones, i will look for those, thankyou xx i have bought some crochet boots and shoes from beadloomgallery on etsy, i bought 5 pairs, i hope the realpuki and fidelia firefly are good and can learn to share forgot to say, yes, she does glow, omg, she is so cute, thanks everyone, i love her x

fireflies are so beautiful, what a wonderful color they glow xx I ordered some doll stands for dollshouse dolls, 1/12th as my doll does stand, but I don't trust her not to fall flat on her face, I think she fits it quite well, just had to bend the wire a little further apart. dragonlovesdolls , where do you find those pointed shoes? they are gorgeous, I think I have seen them on realpuki as well but cant think where, they are simply gorgeous and suit fidelia so well, please tell )

Hi Jonlyn, so great to see you still have those boys! Mu Shu and Valli, yay you're here! Dragonlovesdolls, I love your Omi and her doggie friend... what wonderful eyebrows she has, very fae-ish and lovely. deedee71, I usually charged my FF under incandescent lamps, but I bet yours will prefer the sunshine.... the cool thing is that I never worried about her yellowing, she seemed to hold her color quite well.

I wonder if some of the old group might come back, it would really be so nice to see them again. I finally have time to catch up with everyone and play with my tinies. I no longer have a first issue FF, she went to a friend and had a magnificent transformation into an entirely new fairy... I'm so happy she has a glorious new life!!! But I guess that means I can't share pictures on this forum... is there a Daisy Days thread where we can post goblets or are they off topic, too? I suppose I can go to the RP thread I have plenty of those. But this has always been home for me and I suppose I'll need to figure something out since I am currently FF-less LOL! Anyway, it's great to see all of you and meet the new ff owners.

Here in Holland the celebrating of Halloween is not (yet) a big feast. Not so many items are available and sparsely children at school are dressed for one afternoon. But I promise..........eeeh next year I try to dress them all in costumes. Since Rati and Lugh are still at the Spa of Leo my gang is busy with other things and helping me with preparations of Christmas.

I heard back from the mods and we can start a thread for DD goblins (the ones released by JPop). My Ignatz is currently nude wo he doesn't want to post a picture yet. Will have to try and find that boy some pants. I'd suggest just a general "Daisy Dayes Gobblins" thread as she is planning on releasing more gobblins through JPop. If someone wants to start one while I try to find some pants that would be fine with me. Just make sure it goes in the Non-asian tinies bjd section

jonlyn, you are so sweet, I'm so happy you still have the boys... and I haven't posted anywhere for ages, either. I do have my RP's so perhaps that might work for a thread...

We'll have to come up with a doll that we all have in common and is still on topic, then we can post in one place and still keep a conversation going together. Altho that could be hard to do! I have pukis, goblets and RP's now. I have a bunch of anthros and Sleeping Elf dolls as well. After that, I think I'll be letting most of my others find new homes.

 

I have only one bigger doll, a Dollzone Kai. I like his sturdyness and face but he is for months only laying down in his travel blanket and I am doing nothing with him. Oh well at least till now. But my tiny's are more active and I love the small size of the dolls.
Ginnie I think nobody will have second thoughts if you are here with other fairies. A lot of dolls are on topic. I love to see you playing here again.

 

MuJa I would love to come back here again, too, I just want to be sure I don't irritate the admins! Sounds like you are in the same situation with Dollzone Kai as I am with my larger dolls. I love their faces and looks but they never get any attention. The little ones get all the goodies.

 

I like the Daisy Dayes Darlings name as well. I know there are older threads for Mouse, Moth and Elise but a general thread would be awesome (will have to see if the Mods will allow that).
ETA: I've posted another question to the Mods about having a general DD thread.

Congrats on the green FF Ginnie (I was thinking about you all day today and hoping that you would get one). But the new ones are off-topic so can't be shared here. There is the FF thread and Faeries of Anarchy threads over at the RC where the new ones could be shown off though.

I was able to see Susan B at the OH doll show last weekend and hopefully she'll come back and join us again (also let RoseAnn know and I'm sending an email to Tappin as I didn't see her at the show).

I don't have any pukis, or PP but I do have a RP (but have never posted in the RP section before). I have DD Moth and Elise (would like to get a Mouse), Ignatz, Gip and a OOAK gator boy

I am so ecstatic to get my green FF, I stayed up all night to get her and then was so excited I couldn't fall asleep after she was ordered. Life is so good right now, my glow baby is on her waaaaaaay!

I was afraid the new FF are not for DoA consumption... That means I can't post pix on this thread. Mu Shu, do you think I can I post pix of my FF on a different thread if she's with an on-topic doll in the photo? I read thru the rules but I'm still not certain. It would be nice to find a thread where everyone shares the same doll but that could be tough.

Valli, Nyxy is looking great, her wig is perfect for her, did Stella Maris make that? MuJa I'm sure your Halloween costumes for next year will be incredibly detailed and beautiful, that will be something to look forward to!

 

Ginnie, all the dolls after FF Vampire are banned dolls so you cannot post them or talk about them at DOA. Pictures with OT dolls with a banned dolls are not allowed too. At the RC every doll including the newest are allowed. I play sometimes at the Fairies of Anarchy thread, it is fun there too.

Okay - I've heard back from the Mods and we can start a general DD thread in the non-asian tinies section I like Valli's idea of Daisy Dayes Darlings for the name. It is for all of DD on-topic dolls (they must be tinies .... heehee like DD would make a big doll). We can show off-topic DD dolls as long as there is one of her on-topic dolls in the photo as well (Yay for Gip ). I've got to get my camera some new batteries and will try to get a shot of my DD kids to start a thread - unless someone is already with the photos and wants to go ahead.

MuJa - who is that sitting on Moth's lap? Was she one of DD little meeces? And I love the little piggy in the playpen in the background. Any idea when Rati will be coming home?

 

i keep seeing the daisydayes owls, they are adoreable, where can people go about finding such a cutie? I have an off topic new set of ff on their way to me too, cant wait x

She doesn't have anything up for sale right now but they do get listed on her flikr and she normally gives at least a 24hr notice of when things will go up for sale - the picture will usually have like 4-5 of what ever tiny she has to offer at the time (doggies, owls, goats, etc). And you're not alone in missing out on most things - I'm right there with you! Sometimes you can find them listed in the MP here or over on the RC as well. Again they tend to go fast when they get listed.

 

thanks mushu, I am learning new things every day about dolls. i'd never even heard about ball jointed dolls 3 years ago, and I have been helped so much by so many friends I would never have met had it not been for bjd's. thanks mushu, I will hopefully get a little owl or dog. I love the fireflies, they are just so adoreable. I have pukipukis and realpukis, but then I found fireflies. they are my favourite doll, I wish I had more, greedy I am
