No problem! I'm sure you will - though all my dolls have a mind of their own. It's hard to plan ahead for them since they always seem to change when they get here!

I wasn't realy enthusiastic when I first saw some Lillycat dolls, but after a MeetUp I was very impresed of the Lillycat Jolie cutie... and now my Lillycat will come home in some days. I will try to make a wig for her... my first one!

I remember the posing of the lil Kitty was good. Is it the same with other Lillycat dolls?

X_Kimchi_X, I also have a few 5/6 size wigs made for lati yellow/pukifee that fit my Lilas girl. Her head is a little bit bigger, but not that much really. I make them stay on with a bit of eye putty.

Ahhh my Millie Choupie order status just changed to preparation in progress! I wasn't expecting that until the end of June!

I hope it's not just a fluke and that she's shipping soon!

I won a lilas at Dollnorth! I haven't figured out exactly what I want to do with her maybe make her a collaboration with my best friend, itsfansea and I.

She's super cute in person and my first with boobies lol.

And for those who might be interested: I've heard that there is going to be another preorder for LouLou soon. It will probably start June 6th and last for a week. Loulou will apparently be available on the Hybrid Body this time and the available skin colors will be antique pink and marron glacé (a kind of tan color).
I'm so looking forward to the new preorder as I always wanted this bunny girl ^____^.

@Lysandra has your Kitty arrived yet? And how is the wig project going?

 

Okay, so I decided to ask and "Preparation in Progress" status means dolls have arrived and are being packed up! Chloé said I should receive my tracking number in a few days. I'm so excited!

Also, congrats @eviltofu, I can't wait to see what you do with her! Share photos please!!

The wig project was very... interesting but difficult and I think, I won't do another wig again. xD Respect goes out for those who are so talented making wigs!

I just have no good picture of her to show you all, because the light of this cloudy weather isn't the best... :-(

 

I'm reallllllllly tempted for a tan sleepy bunny but got too many orders going on for me to commit.

On a sad not I lost one of my kitty's ears during doll north. I asked Lillycat if she can have one ordered and I pay any casting fees for a ear. I'd even mention I'd take a different colour one and make a calico if I couldn't get the right colour. So here's hoping I could get a replacement!

I'll post lilas as soon as I get to a computer!

@eviltofu oh no, that's sad to hear about the missing ear. I hope you will be able to get an replacement o__o
And I can relate to the problem with the too many orders going on. I actually also have another doll on layaway currently, but In know that I wanted LouLou so badly before and as usually she'll be probably much more expensive on the secondhand market, so I'll have to figure out how to make it possible to get her now.

@Lysandra , about the wig making, believe there really is a learning curve to it, if you don't give up too early, I'm sure you'll succeed in making awesome wigs!!!
As for the other thing, yeah, I know the weather here is bad as well. Me, too, I hope that it will get better soon, because I love taking pictures outside and it's simply not possible if it rains like this.

 

@eviltofu Wow congrats! Did you win her in a raffle or a contest? Sucks about the ear though! I've lost magnetic parts before, it happens xD Hope you can get replacements, and otherwise there are other places to get cat ears

@SmoteyMote Congrats on the shipping notice I'm excited to see owner photos of Millie in the new colors. Looking forward to photos with Païva especially.

edit: So.... tracking hasn't updated at all which is a bit nerve wracking. It usually updates pretty quickly but neither Chronopost (french tracking) or USPS are showing data being received.

Edit edit: of course minutes after I said that tracking updated ahaha

 

@SmoteyMote Can't wait to see pics of her! It's always super exciting getting something before expected. I hope she shows up soon!

 

Now I had some time to take a picture of my Lillycat Jolie.

A friend and me decited to make sisters out of our Jolies. I hope we will find a free time together for a shooting. ^^

I only made her wig by myself... but on this picture the hair it's too fluffy. After that snapshot I put some hair oil in her hair so
the curles are much better now.

 

So that's the wig you were so unhappy about? I think it looks great! And even more so for a first try at wig making!!

Be careful with oil and wax products though as they might stain the resin. With natural mohair it's often enough to just gently spray the wig with with water and form the curls strand by strand with your fingers.

 

I think the wig looks really nice! Especially for a first try!


I'm gonna SCREAM. Millie Choupie is literally 4 hours away from me and tracking is saying she won't be delivered until Friday? How does it take..... nearly 4 days to get a package to someone 4 hours away!?

(I assume it will get her earlier because when I was living 8 hours away, when packages passed through the 1st port and got to the second sorting center, I usually had them the next day or day after. So I'm gonna be really baffled if it does take until Friday)

 

Gah that is the worst! Can the place 4hrs away hold her and let you pick her up? I'm that impatient, haha!

 

I'm impatient but I'm also out of money and that amount of gas is not in my budget ahaha. (I'm helping a friend raise an accidental litter of 11 baby ratties and taking two of them so all my funds have gone to these dumb nerds. I can wait for a doll ahaha)

Don't worry Sharkyra ^^ the oil is fine. It's a natural oil without any admixtures. There were only two smal oil drobs, the rest was water. ^^

IRONICALLY.....
Tracking updated yesterday and showed she was being held at a distribution center 6 minutes away from me. But she still needed to come to the actual post office to be delivered...... on Friday?! How could it possibly take 3 days to deliver a package that I could literally walk down the street and get if they would allow me?!

So of course (after nearly burning down my apartment and putting a hole through my living room wall) there's a knock on my door and the mail lady comes bearing..... my package from Lillycat!

I did a box opening video and I really haven't had much time to take photos unfortunately with everything else that's been going on.





I did however, grab a quick one to show the difference of their skintones. Millie Choupie is in baby blue and Ninon is in pale blue.

Welp - the outfit I wanted her to wear needs A LOT of modification and I don't have the time for that right now. So until then, she's lounging around in this! I still have no idea what I want to name her. Ahaha.

I finally got a chance to post in here! I managed to get a good shoot of my ninon today.

Does anyone with a Loolou have their doll wearing a wig? Is her head more 7/8 or 8/9 for a wig? I found a Leeke wig I want but I'm not sure which size to get for her.

 

Cerisedoll lists her head circumference as 21.5cm which is 8.46 inches. I would go with the 8/9.

 

Remember, her ears are ball jointed and not magnetic so you will have to cut the wig and alter it to put it on her. A regular wig will not fit without adjustment because of her ears. Maybe consider having one custom made or making one yourself?!

 

I did convert the cm to in before asking, but thanks. I wanted to know what owners thought because sometimes what the numbers say and what actually works is different.

Yes, I know and I planned to cut it. That's why I wanted to know what owners of the head have done for starting size as far as already made wigs go.

Maybe I should ask Lillycat? ._.;

 

It's 8/9 for sure. She has a big head (for a MSD sized doll) and big eyes (18 or 20 mm) as well.

 

You know what sucks? Having to go to work when all you want to do is play with your new doll! I got my Pink Ombre Shadow yesterday but I couldn't even appreciate her to the full because I was running around doing errands! and now I have work all day!

Does anyone know of a clothing maker that includes the Hybrid body sizing in their lineup? I see some for the Classic and the Cartoon, but I'm having a heck of a time finding the Hybrid.

Not sure if this is the topic for it, but here goes: I would love to see any Cerisedoll head (though preferable Constantine) on any < 35cm body. I just want to know if that would work as a hybrid or if the head would be too big.

 

@romantiscue Sorry, I can't help here, since I don't have a Constantine head. Maybe ask in the photo reference sub-forum, too?

Ooo I can't help right now but if no one gets back to you, next time I see my mum I'll try my Ninon head on her Atelier Momoni Reira. She's about that size. They've swapped wigs before so I'm sure their heads about the same size.

She looks like she could be MSD but there's a couple new sizes in the making it seems s I'm not super sure.
