Shot in the dark here, but has anyone tried 16mm eyes on Newt? She is listed to use 18mm and I was wondering if there might be a ref. picture floating around somewhere?

 

I have my Newr's eyes as 12mm round glass in my database!

 

It looks like chibi newt takes the 12mm but the normal MSD sized newt takes 18mm... still trying to figure out if 16mm would end up floating...

 

I do have the Chibbi Newt. Looking at the mint Newt pictures on the Lillycat site, I think 16mm would work. I don't know if you would get gapping at the corners.

 

Did anyone get a doll in the recent stock sale? I have been wanting another Deavon, and though had been hoping for one in tan, still jumped at the chance to get a green one. Luckily she will have several green friends.

 

Awesome! Went with the 16mm and fingers crossed... if it works I'll send pics when I get the doll/eyes in.

@Charurelius, I actually did! I was one of the lucky ones to get a mint Newt. I'd love to see your Deavons together when you get her!

 

Pictures of my green Deavon may take a while. She was shipped on 9/22, but the tracking stopped on 10/2, and she could be anywhere. Even Lillycat couldn't find out anything. Then she will need a face up, and I might want to put that off until after Christmas ...
I'll definitely put up pictures of both, sometime.

 

Hi, I am super new to Lillycat and apologies if this is a dumb question. I think I saw discussion of the 1/3 vs 1/4 of Ellana, but I can't seem to find any information on an MSD sized Ellana releases. Have there been any? If yes, what colors?

 

She gas teased us with MSD Ellana, and I think one was a contest prize, but no widespread release yet.

I also spent too much money on the last stock sale, and should have 2 dolls coming in soon. I couldn't pass up a Newt ...and the cartoon body I haven't seen released in a while!

 

Just to add to mephisto's comment, if someone other than the prize winner has a 1:4 mini Ellana (with a faceup by Rachelle), it is a counterfeit doll that has been scaled down to 1:4. I see this doll in numerous Facebook groups by users who try to dishonestly pass it off as legit and report it to mods/admins. I identified one for someone who still went ahead and bought it and then had the nerve to advertise it as a legit doll in a sales group.

A few months ago I got my hands on a Constantine, one of my grails, through a friend. She had dyed her but wasn't happy with it and didn't have the energy to fix it.
So I stripped her clean and dyed her red and she has replaced my Kitty Jolie as my witch character

I used to have a Deavon, a Ninon, and a 1/3 Ellana but had to part with them last year. I’m in a better place now and looking to buy another Lillycat doll, hopefully a 1/4. So hard to pick a sculpt

Anyone know what clothes work with Daevon?

 

MSD Newt is one of my dream dolls but it seems pretty unlikely I'll be able to find one.

 

Made Kyrie a new wig last weekend. So much happier with her now and ordered her a pile of tops off of eBay that should hopefully fit her (hoping they’ll fit on the Cham Namu I’m waiting on too ).


She’s looking very done with everyone’s crap.

@writerm So far I’ve gotten a few tops made for 1/6 scale action figures (male ones, specifically, though I do also have a stretchy sports bra that fits on her as well) off of eBay that fit her pretty well. Got pretty good overall length, though in the case of the tank top she’s wearing now, it does show off a bit of her midriff. I’m waiting on some more baggy styled sweaters and hoodies at the moment, so we’ll see how those fit on her. P: YoSD tops fit on her too, but obviously you’ll end up with a lot of crop tops.

For bottoms I have a pair of Nine9Style jeans on my girl and they fit wonderfully. Stuff specifically for Unoa can fit with a bit of careful shimmying, but you’d probably want to stick to items that are on the stretchy or baggy side (and be careful of short-shorts; I found those to be super difficult to get off of my girl [partly thanks to her thigh joints that like to suck up the hem of shorts that go above them]). Minifee pants should probably be avoided since she’s got pretty chonky thighs and calves compared to them; skirts should be fine though as long as they’re not those tight styles. Standard mini stuff is definitely too big in the butt area, but if you’re not too mussed about it, you can always pin the back portion of stuff like shorts to fake the fit.

As for shoes, I think her feet are comparable to Moe-line Minifee feet in length. I haven’t tried a lot of my mini shoes on my girl, but I imagine she’d look fine with shoes that fit A-line Minifee and Unoa girls, though you’d probably have to stuff tissue or something in the toes of things like flats to get them to keep from slipping off.

 

Has anyone seen pinktezka’s hybrid of her Deavon with the Boudi Doll body? I’m kind of obsessed. I also saw lolitaari’s Roze Heln hybrid. Does anyone have any other good hybrid recs? I love the faces and curves but I prefer a double jointed body. (If ever I could get one of those cartoon bodies I would be happy but I’ve never been fast enough on the draw...)

As for hybrids, I don’t really know of any myself. Doesn’t seem like a lot of people hybrid their Lillycat heads with other bodies too often. Man tho, I somehow completely missed the fact that pinktezka switched her Boudi Doll and Lillycat’s bodies. Considering how well Deavon works on the DoD Roze body, I woudn’t be surprised if she and the other sculpts look just fine on most mature-style minis. It’d just be a matter of finding a body with comparable neck circumference as the Lillycat bodies (and resin matching if you’re not up for color matching yourself or paying someone else for it).

Wow!! Maybe some Blythe tops will work. I need to buy Blythe tops for a couple other hard-to-fit dolls I have too. I think I'll try leggings for the bottoms? Maybe SD shorts? I guess I'll find out when I get her! LOL!

 

Snagged a Newt to go with my chibi Newt. Wanted to get her a dress but nothing is jumping at me yet. I have time.

 

Does anyone know how long pre-orders typically take to ship? Was it 4-5 months? I’m worried about the shipping congestion with the holidays coming up so I am trying to prep for my Newt ahead of time.

 

Usually it's not long after I pay my last invoice ( I usually pay the longest invoice option, 4-5 months). I think they are taking longer this time, as there is a resin shortage along with shipping issues worldwide. So I'm not sure what to say!

Edit: ALSO I AM SO HYPED FOR MSD ELLANA OMG!

 

In my experience, more like 5-6 months. Rachelle ships Chronopost, which is Express. It can get backed up, but it's usually still pretty fast during peak shipping season! I'm waiting on Newt as well.

 

Deavon in Hot Chocolate is so pretty! Shame that her elbows are single-jointed but I went for her anyway. I really like the pinks they used for her in the promo pics, think I will keep that in mind for my own faceup attempts.

 

I have a Deavon in caramel that I got secondhand, she’s a little kicky which is typical of Lillycats overtime. I’ve tried wiring her but can’t seem to keep the wire from staying in place. Any one know any other suggestions to keep her to not bend forward or bend back. I want to display her in a saddle stand without her head falling out if the knees give out. Any help thanks.

 

Hey I have a issue I ordered the lillycat ellena but my tracking is saying my destination is I'm Portland Oregon and I don't live there. Could I have the incorrect tracking because on all the emails it has my correct address so I'm freaking out a bit.maybe someone has my tracking number I hope

 

If you hadn't emailed Rachelle already, I would suggest doing so. She is very responsive and would be able to confirm the tracking number and look into this further for you.

Hello! I am considering getting a lillycat doll but am so unsure about the green resin. Does anyone with that resin color like it?

 

shes done quite a few releases of green and teal resins. I personally do not have any dolls with that resin color. All of the releases are seemingly random color and sculpt combinations that are usually on a preorder basis.
Lillycat doesn't really follow a normal doll ordering system where every sculpt is available all the time in every color. There are specific sculpts, released at specific times, in specific colors. I hope that made sense! Signing up for her newsletter is a really helpful way to know when the next release will be, and what will be offered.

 

I haven’t seen a green Lillycat in person, but I’ve seen a variety of colours and they’ve all looked great. So it’s probably more useful to think about whether you can create a character for the doll, have fun styling it etc while it has green skin. If you’re unsure, it might be better to wait for an order in a colour you’re more certain about, or see what preowned options there are around.

 

Have people here been planning to preorder Ombre? I am very, very tempted to get her. I thought that she wouldn't come back in ages, so I feel like I should act now so that I wouldn't regret it later...

 

The "Mint" color has some blue in it, even if pictures on the site don't look like it. Based on those pictures, I got a Doll Chateau body in green, which seemed to match. Didn't match at all!

Oof, it's been a while, hasn't it? I hope I am posting in the right place.

I recently ordered and received Lillycat's Kitty Jolie in the translucent blue resin.
I've learned that I will never get around to doing face ups - or that it can take me what, ten years if so? HA! so I ordered her with both faceplates (awake and asleep) and face ups on both.

I am thrilled with her.
Only question I have is - what eye putty do you folks recommend for translucent resin heads?

I use Mack's silicone ear plugs. Since the silicone is fairly transparent, it shouldn't show through.

 

Sobbing because my new doll had an attempted delivery today except of course instead of the usual 2-3pm delivery USPS decided to come by at 1pm when no one was home so now I get to play package tag to get my gal free from USPS.

 

Hopping in because after admiring her dolls for so long I'm taking the plunge to buy one. Just about my entire collection is large SD17 sized boys, Minifee and SD13 boys so I'm a little stressed about finding clothing - but it looks like minifee sized bottoms and maybe shoes can fit them? Either way I'm very excited and appreciate the elegant, completely hand-made-ness of these pretty girls, so holding them in my hands after admiring them for so long will be really nice. Reading the artist's journey has also been a huge treat. I'm really torn between the translucent blue Ombre on her website and an Ellana I found. Hardest decision!

 

Slim msd shoes and bottoms should fit no problem, tops are closer to yosd size. There are also quite a few artists that specialize in clothing for Lillycat's dolls, although you may need to commission rather than finding something pre-made. I dress my Lillycat girls almost exlusively in things made by Venecja (Etsy). If that's not your style, still plenty of options. Those in stock dolls are always calling my name lol.
