Hello! This is my first real post here, even though I think I had obsessively read every thread in the forum as soon as I joined! I wanted to post some pictures of my 3rd completed BJD, 'Cera'. I do also have a few photos of my first girl ('Pru') in my album here (and there are a couple photos of my second minuscule BJD on my personal Facebook page - she's about 9cm tall!) I sculpted Cera in about 6 weeks, but spent much longer making her various sets of eyes, a couple wigs, and a full wardrobe of clothes and shoes! She's 20.5cm tall, and will remain a ooak doll, as I've never done any moulding or casting. View attachment 601 View attachment 602 View attachment 603 She was great fun to make, and I'm very happy with how she came out. I'm glad she has so many dressing and customising options as well to keep her fresh and fun I have more pictures and detail about her on my website, and have posted fairly detailed blogs of my sculpting experiences there too if anyone's interested? I'd love to hear back from you guys, I'm so full of admiration for this group and hope to be sharing my next project before too long! Thanks for looking
Oh wow! Well done on making her, she looks great. Those soft pupil-less eyes really seem to work for her. I haven't gotten nearly as far with my project, but it's always inspiring to check out the new and finished products on this forum!
She's adorable! She reminds me of the style of the old Claymation Christmas specials like Little Drummer Boy and Jack Frost and all those. You did a wonderful job.
Thank you Polkavata and Miss Pygmalion (Sorry for such a tardy response!!!) The eyes are pretty nice, but I still need some practice with them, I got a heat gun recently so must try using that to cure the liquid fimo domes instead of the oven next time - to hopefully get a clearer finish
