Hi, hi! I’m currently waiting for my doll to arrive in November. So in the meantime, I thought that I could get everything ready for her. Flipping through my crochet books, there was a pattern to make a suitcase with matching blanket and a false bottom. This way you have a carrying case, bed, and clothes storage all in one! Nice. The patten was originally for 35 cm wide, so I increased it to 50 cm to fit an MSD. I don’t know if I can post the altered pattern here, but it’s from My Crochet Doll by Isabelle Kessedjian (all patterns are in UK crochet terms). I’m using Red Heart Boutique Unforgettable yarn because it’s so pretty looking and a 3.5 mm hook. There are no photos yet, but soon.
I have that book too! That’s such a great idea I never thought to do that. Now I want to make one too I’ve lost my crojo but maybe this will bring it back. I wouldn’t post the altered pattern here because it is a paid pattern/book and to respect the creator of the book but can’t wait to see your result I’m sure it’ll be cute
I just looked up this book and the crochet doll too cute! I sadly don't know UK crochet terms, but maybe this is an opportunity to learn
@ellie Glad to help you get your crojo back. Isn’t it such a cute book? I wonder if the patterns would work with bjd’s… @nintendallie There’s a UK to US term chart in the book, but pretty much dc is sc, htc is hdc, etc. You eventually get used to it. Luckily the patterns in this book don’t require tons of fancy stitches
@dareKITTY it’s been so long since I’ve actually made anything from this book I don’t really remember how big the dolls got and whatever I crochet I usually give it as gifts. I don’t really think an sd maybeee an msd. But you can probably play around with the different hooks/yarn/gauge
