Doe sanyone used this services or have feedback about how do they work? https://www.karlyl.com/resin-casting-service/ Thanks!
They talk about this service in the thread "List of casting companies?" page 11. it's not much but it's a start.
Yes, but only one person said it's fabulous... without photos or any other information. I wish I can know just a bit more...
Hi! I used Karlyl's casting service. I can't show photos because it was a prototype for a commercial client, I'm sorry! But she was very nice and communicated quickly and clearly. I shipped paper clay original sculpts to her and she made the molds and poured the casts. My project was not a full bjd (just head, hands and feet) so I do not know if she requires the insides of the original parts to be fully smooth and finished. Her resin has that semi translucent, waxy look, like French resin (at least it did last year). She will color-match for you as well. I sent her Barbie doll parts in the flesh tones I wanted, and she matched them exactly with resin. She completed the job on time and her quote for the final price was correct. My originals were returned unharmed. I did not hire her to smooth out or re-engineer anything (my originals were sturdy, smooth, and the eye wells and head cap were engineered already) but she is a sculptor herself, so can probably answer any concerns in that regard.Hope that helps!
