Hi everyone. I placed a preorder through Dolly Planet back in late December for a dress set. On the listing, they said the lead time was around 2 months. It shows as 'paid' on my order page, but I've heard nothing about it, and it's been 4.5 months. Over the past three weeks I've tried contacting them on their contact form, via email, and facebook messenger. I just sent them a DM on instagram as well. I've gotten no response. I know the zero covid policy has been causing a lot of trouble in some regions of China, but it would be nice to actually get a response from the company. Has anyone been able to reach them the past few weeks?
Joining this thread, because I am having trouble contacting them too, and I also noticed comments on their instagram complaining about the same. I received an order from them that I’d placed, but it doesn’t have some of the items in it so I have been trying to ask where those are. Just to add: I didn’t get any shipping notice for my order, and on the site it still says that its in processing. I noticed the site hasn’t been updated with multiple items it supposedly should have been updated with since March. Not sure what to make of that.
I have been talking to them via email last on April 21st, no problem at all (address kokdollcollectionAToutlook.com). They always replied within a day or two. I also had an order running that was delayed because of the recent Covid lockdown in their area, but they said it had been lifted in early April, and I got my order after that, shipping notice and all. Was I just lucky?
I haven’t gotten any reply to emails to that address thus far. My paypal receipt was just updated with a tracking number… even though I already got the doll and there’s no word on the missing parts of my order. I thought perhaps they decided to send the missing eyes out without replying to me, but the tracking number is bound for Finland, not the UK. So… either our orders got switched and somebody got three pairs of eyes free, or just our numbers got switched and some poor person’s tracking says it’s already been delivered in the UK. Either way; oof!
Huh, that's really weird. If the paypal was updated though it must mean they're active and haven't completely disappeared? I don't really know what to do next, because I'd really like to have that dress set... Update us if you do end up getting your eyes! And if anyone gets a wrong tracking number for a package destined for rural Norway, let me know!
Hmm, I know the first week of May is Golden Week so don't know if that's having any effect on the communication. I would definitely be interested in updates if anyone has them as I put through quite an exspensive order with Dolly Planet last month. It's my first time ordering through them so hoping there isn't an issue going on with the company
8 minutes after Dolly Planet posted something on instagram, I left a comment mentioning my inability to get in touch with them. They then DM'd me, and told me they would check with the store the dress set was from. Within a few minutes they were able to tell me it would be 1-2 weeks more. Wish it didn't take so much effort to hear back from them, but I got my update I guess. It seems Instagram is best way to get a response if you're not hearing back through other avenues.
It's been 5 weeks and no more updates from Dolly Planet. I messaged them again with a request for an update, they really are extraordinarily bad at communication. It's been 6 months since I placed the order
I'm having issues too. My payment went through, but my order status says failed. I'm not sure what to make of this, but to hope they reply to my emails.
I'm not sure what happened to their communication. When I left a review for them for my first order, the experience and communication was superb, but when I placed a second order, I experienced the same thing. Chased them down everywhere to try to get an update since I got an invoice for shipping, paid, but weeks later, still nothing. They never wrote me back. What I ordered just show up a month later. Your post reminds me to update my review for them lol.
Not sure if you got in contact with them, but when updating my review for them, I had a similar problem when I placed my order on their site. I got an order failed notice, but the money definitely left my PayPal account. I wrote them about the problem, and they fixed it, so I'm guessing it may be manually updated? I hope you are able to get in touch with them!
Thanks! I did message them twice and they responded that their system is a bit slow. The odd thing was it first said paid and then said failed. It's all good now thankfully.
Uh how have your situations evolved? I was thinking of trying out DollyPlanet for a small doll, but reading the communication issues here makes me wonder if I should stick to other dealers for now...
My situation was resolved easily, it's my bad for not updating on this thread. They were definitely a bit haphazard on their communication, but I got my order complete in the end. Having ordered from them previously in the past successfully too, I'd recommend them. They're just definitely not as on the ball as Alice's Collections or Clover Singing as dealers.
On my order, they shipped an accessory that was complete. They contacted me a bit later to let me know the doll I had ordered was cancelled by the artist and we sorted out a refund. (I found the artist was massively backlogged so was I was okay with the cancellation and refund as didn't want to wait that long). So things were fine on my order in regards to using Dolly Planet.
I have ordered from there a couple times now. Tech issues between the website and Paypal seem to be an ongoing thing. Both times everything has ultimately ended up well. The time before last a browser error made the order go through twice, but they cancelled the double charge and when part of the order was out of stock they refunded the money and the rest shipped out fine. The most recent order was more smooth, but there was still a delay. Order status showed as "cancelled" there for about 20min to half and hour after Paypal sent me the payment accepted email. In the end all the items were well packaged and shipped pretty quickly for an international order.
Reading all the replies now eases my mind, thank you!! The dolls I was eyeing were sold out in the mean time, but I'll know for the future ^^
Sorry I disappeared, I did end up getting the dress I had ordered eventually. It took me reaching out to Dolly Planet through every means available multiple times to get an update, then to get it shipped, and it actually shipped a week after they told me it would. But it did arrive!
I commented on one of their instagram posts just moments after they posted it, and that got their attention lol. I specifically mentioned that I had sent them messages on Insta, email, and FB messenger. They responded via instagram promptly after that.
Bringing this back because I ordered a wig months ago and they said it should be in stock in early March (the website never mentioned that it was OUT of stock, but I had trouble finding anything similar elsewhere, so I was content to wait). I haven't heard anything from them since and my payment went through at the time. Tried emailing them a few days ago; no word back yet. Anybody having issues with them at the moment?
I most recently ordered from them 6 weeks ago, everything was fine and it arrived safely. She contacted me to let me know one item was out of stock, I don't know why she didn't contact you. But I've found them to be reliable.
Adding my full story here because I placed an order with them five months ago and was told that the item was out of stock (not mentioned on the website). The rep asked me if I wanted to wait and I said yes because she predicted that it would be back in stock within like a month. Not a big deal. three months went by. I emailed, politely asking for an update. No response. another two months went by. yesterday, I emailed again and got no response. I filed a PayPal claim and got a refund very quickly. This has left me with an extremely negative view of the company, since clearly someone was paying attention to their communications enough to respond to my claim but apparently not enough to respond to my emails. I would not recommend them to anyone else going forward (though I did find the wig I was trying to buy on the marketplace secondhand and the quality still looks good).
