I'm sorry if this isn't appropriate to ask in this sub-forum or if it is considered too off topic for this board. But I was wondering if anyone happens to know the fan-based website of a photographer who listed all the lenses for Canon cameras which use the EF lens mount? I remember stumbling upon it about a year ago when researching Canon cameras and I was looking for it again today and realized I can't find it. The photographer had posted a picture of the lens, a short description of what it is best used for and a personally taken picture example to show how to best utilize each lens. Does anyone know what the website name was or does anyone happen to have a link to it? Thanks so much for any assistance!
I don't know of the site you mention, and would be interested to see it myself if it is still around should anyone else find it. As an alternative, I would suggest Canon's own EF Lens Work III book. It is a free download in pdf, and if you look on ebay or amazon you can find the printed version too. In it, they describe their lenses with descriptions of typical use, as well as describe other features about the lenses.
Thank you so much, that's very helpful! I'm not so sure it is still around. If I remember correctly the mentioned site was a blogspot/blogger webpage, making it extra hard to find again if it is still on the web. Oh well, I'm not so sure it is so necessary anymore with the help of all you DoA members! I also owe a big thank you to gaiaswill for the following information: *I hope it is alright if I post this here, in case someone finds this thread in a future search looking for similar information.
It's not like links are copywritable and furthermore, it's not like those websites are even mine anyway. XD I missed one of the most obvious indexes: Canon EF mount lens lineup @ Canon Camera Museum The museum covers a lot more than just the lenses too.
