Easy as pie. Buy Sculpey or Fimo (white and red). Process the mass until soft. Proceed from white to red. The red will colour the board, the knife and the roller. Roll out the snakes from both colours separately. My snakes were too thin. I'd make them thicker next time. Connect the white and red snakes with two fingers at one end and let them hang down. Then wrap the red snake around the white one until it makes a nice, regular pattern. It is possible to make the threads thicker in places and thinner in places. I'll leave that up to your creativity. When done, roll lightly and cut the candy canes into equal pieces. Put baking paper on a baking sheet and place your creations on it, carefully curving one end to make it look realistic. If I could do it, you can do it much better. Bake according to the instructions on the package. You can use the leftover snakes to make lollipops. Give the candy canes to your dolls or hang them on the tree. They'll be happy. Sculpey crafting by Arengil Tajedinápravá, on Flickr
