Calico Critters/Sylvanian Families

Following because I only just got myself some too whilst in Tokyo at the moment. I got the fennec fox family, the midnight cat family, Brother Husky Bruce (who is from the movie, I think?), Mother Husky, and the log cabin. I kind of want the striped cat family too, but I’m completely out of luggage space as it is and was a bit disappointed to see that Mother and Father striped cats weren’t available to purchase separately at the actual Sylvanian Families store (!!!) I came across where many of them from the other sets were. I could have fit them, just not the whole family set. Oh well, maybe next time.

 

I have the hedgehog family hanging out in the dollhouse with Issun (my Banji) and his Lati White kid-sisters. They're fun little beasties.

 

Ahhh I used to love them when I was a kid, but I also wasn't able to get any! They really are absolutely adorable These days I've been so tempted by their playsets for my Nendos & other tinies!

 

Picked up a husky family, the basic house, and a set of furniture earlier this year. I set out Halloween decor (meant for the Michaels Halloween villages) on the little lawn I got from the craft store, but now I need to see about a tiny tree.

 

Oh congratulations! I have been loving these ever since I was a child and have continued to occasionally buy them. Them and their houses are currently packaged neatly in boxes as I’m about to move

 

I love these, too. I just got the two cutest baby penguins with a little car. I have loved calico critters for a long time. The little details they have in playsets are so neat. I also have a cc motorcycle with a side car. They are put away for now so puppies don't eat them but they will make a comeback some day.

 

They're redoing the deer family in Japan and I'm seriously tempted to preorder (they release in early February). I still need to figure out how to actually display my huskies and their house; my kitten is currently a moving hazard to them. Plus I keep seeing really fun things being done with house customization and I'm tempted. But currently, the weather (too cold, too windy, or too much humidity) is being a real pain as far as any work involving spray paints and clear coat go.

 

Congrats! Those little sheep are so cute!! I often see them in toy stores and they still make me “awwww”!!

I had quite a few Sylvanian’s sets when I was a kid. I vividly remember getting my first sets and a house for my 5th birthday. My favorite family were the otter family but I also loved the bears and hamsters. I had the Angelina Ballerina set too with the stage and there was a candy cart sort of thing that had a load of fiddly tiny bits They were a lot of fun though! I keep hoping they might make a French Bulldog or Boston Terrier family
