Brighter, sharper pictures (photoshop troubles, also)

Feb 10, 2007

    1. Lets completely change my original question...

My photos don't show up as bright as they should when I look at them on mozilla, after I save them through photoshop. It's like the contrast goes down and the brightness goes up...
In Safari, they have their original brightness, and when I open them up in photoshop again, the brightness comes back. This happens no matter what file I save them as, and no matter how I save them (save as... save for web etc)

Anyone know if I can fix this or if it's fixable at all?

Any tips on getting bright, sharp pics?

Oh, and I use a Fuji Finepix S5200!

    2. That's weird.... The only thing I can think of that would explain it is that your Photoshop is set to use some monitor / color profile that makes pics looks different while in it.

    3. Digital images need post-capture work in software. However, there are so many variables to this statement that it can be difficult, if not impossible, to offer a blanket response to your question.

First - can you post the image that is troubling you? And then let us know about your work flow in addition to the camera settings and type of lighting used?
