    2. Question: Are the Bambicrony still all french resin? I love these new girls, especially sunday but don't dare get a French resin doll.

    3. I think it was only the colored elves that were french resin -- unless my normalskin Kumi is french resin and I didn't know it. I'd expect her to be bright yellow by now if she was.

    4. I've been interested in the Bambicronys but the resin yellowing and comments people posted about problems they had put me off. I didn't want french resin either. Sunday is too tempting, I had to give in.

    5. I think the yellowing problems and french resin are only the colored elves. Like I said a while ago, if my normalskin Ciao Bella is french resin I don't know about it, and she certainly hasn't yellowed that I know of -- and I think I'd have noticed, because she has option hands that I swap out every couple of months, and they still match perfectly.

I had some problems when I got my CB (partly a quality control problem and partly a communication/customer service problem) but it was eventually resolved in a completely satisfactory manner and the customer service this time around has been excellent, so at this point I really can't complain.

    6. Yellowing/fading was definitely only a problem with the 1st run of colored elves. I have Misty Rose pink elves from the 1st run and the variance is big. The 2nd batch of colored elves remains to be seen. I also have peach puff skin dolls and they are perfectly fine.

I can't wait until Sunday gets home!

    7. My Sunday just got here! She's faceless but I have eyes, wigs, and clothes for her so I dressed her up anyway -- I'll be sending her out for a faceup on Monday. I have to go work, but some quick thoughts:

      - Faceupless and wigless she looks like a space alien. @_@ She has these kind of bulges above her eyes on the outsides that look weird, I might try and sand them down a bit or see if the faceup artist is comfortable doing it. They're not really noticable with a wig on, though.

      - Her sculpt is amazingly detailed. I'm going to have to take pictures -- every other doll I've owned the inside of their head was basically unfinished, but the inside of Sunday and April's heads are almost as finished as the outsides, and they have sculpted notches for an s-hook to rest and everything. Her hands and feet are gorgeous, and I'm staggered by the detail in her ears.

      - Just like my Ciao Bella, her knees tend to pop out backwards when her legs are straight, though they don't get as far. I'll restring her a bit looser later and see if that helps. A little sanding inside the sockets for her knee joints may also help. It hasn't created any posing problems yet though.

      - She's a lot heavier-set than my kid delf girl. Dollheart MSD outfits are a perfect fit, whereas they're a tad loose on the kid delf.

      - She's a good shade darker than my NS sleeping Kumi. Also a shade less yellow, but I'm not sure how much of that is resin batch variation and how much of it is that my Kumi is over two years old and lives on a bookshelf in a sunny apartment.

      - 7-8 Dollga wigs: Perfect fit. 16mm Everpurple eyes are just a touch larger than I'd like but perfectly workable.

      - Like the CBs, her hands and feet attach with string and not s-hooks. Unlike the CBs, her joints are big enough that it might be possible to put s-hooks in her. I'll try it at some point.

      - My least favorite thing about the sculpt? She's got cankles.

      - She has essentially no seams. I'm not sure if she was sanded or if BC just got the mold matched up really well, but her seams are miniscule. I can feel them but not see them on her forearms.

    8. I feel obligated to point out (so everyone else can suffer like I do) that Dollheart and Anotherspace MSD outfits are a perfect fit on the Brava Bambi body. XD I have some stuff from when the character I got my Sunday for was on a kid delf body and it was all a touch loose (though workable) on the kid delf, but it's wonderful on the Brava Bambi body. I also have some Volks dresses that are similarly sized, so I assume they'll fit great, but I'll have to try them on my Sunday this week. (Well, her body anyway. She's wearing the April head while her face is off being painted.)

    9. I'd be very careful about opening April's eyes -- the resin on her eyelids, at least the one I got, is very, VERY thin in places, so I think you would have to open them kind of a lot or not at all, at least on mine.

Also, they're not the exact same sculpt with open versus closed eyes. They are very similar, but Sunday has more of a smile than April does, blank. I'll get some clearer photos of my April head when I'm home tomorrow -- the ones I have now are pretty blurry so you can't see the thin spots on her eyelids. I can try and get some of the same angles I got on my Sunday, too, so you can compare the face sculpts.

    10. I took a bunch of nude photos of the Brava Bambi body today. I stuck it next to my kid delf, for comparison's sake. Link because there's a lot of nudity.

General summary: The Brava Bambi body is taller and stockier than the kid delf girl. Also, Bambicrony NS is wayyyy darker than Luts Realskin Normal but it's hard to tell in some of the photos because it was getting dark and I had to crank the exposure way up.

Also, the Bambicrony resin has a very different texture than the Luts resin does -- it's much toothier and less shiny.

    11. I just got my Sunday back from her faceup today! Yama did a great job on her, she's adorable. I posted a gallery thread, but here's a teaser:

    12. Yup, I ordered the full set Sunday and she arrived Tuesday. Here she is with a wig I ordered:

The default faceup is pretty cute. But I see tweaking in the future for my girl. I added some mohair eyelashes as her default ones were pretty skimpy. But that's just personal preference.

I ordered the full set Sunday on April 28 and she arrived June 23. So less than two months. Honestly, I don't think that's so bad.

I absolutely adore her!!! She stands really easily and sits really easily too and can sit with legs forward or spread out wider. I glue sueded her just because I always do that. But she would be fine without it too. Those knee joints do tend to flop around a bit but nothing that would drive me crazy or send me cursing. She definitely is not kicky or overly tightly strung. But not floppy either. Just right!

      Jay

    13. Isn't she gorgeous!! I love her new eyelashes! The knees will take some getting used to for me anyway.

I received my Sunday/Soubrette on Monday, but didn't have internet in the new place until tonight. I haven't had much chance to play with her, but I think she's gorgeous!!

    14. This is a terrible photo, but I just got this outfit and I love how my Sunday looks in it. XD

I'll get better shots of her in it later. I really like her in the dark blue, though!

    15. The BC white resin doesn't quite match anything I have on hand -- it's much pinker than most things. It's a little lighter and pinker than both Volks Pureskin and Luts Realskin. It's pretty close, but again pinker, to Supia normal urethane, although the minisup body is far too slender for such a big head.

Aside from the color and textural difference, which is actually small enough that you could probably correct it with some strategic blushing, the J-Na head seems to work alright on the new kid delf girl body. IMO it's bordering on too big, as the kid delf girl body is relatively scrawny for an immature mini, but it's doable. It might also work color-wise with Volks pureskin NS since my yoSD and my kid delf are about the same color. If anything, though, Volks is a touch yellower.

Photos forthcoming if any of them turned out.

    16. Here's the J-Na head on a kid delf body. The photo was taken at night so the color difference is played down a lot. I can get some natural light photos tomorrow (just of their headcaps next to each other -- mine's so tightly strung I'm not taking her head off again) if you'd like. There's also a couple more photos in there, including my Aru's head on the brava bambi body.

    17. On closer inspection it doesn't match the DIM skin at all. The DIM is pinky and the Bambicrony is more yellow.

Here is it against the new normal skin Leekeworld (which is much lighter than my older normal skin)

Leeke on top and BC on the bottom.

    18. You might actually loosen her up a little if her limbs are snapping around a lot... though my J-Na is actually strung tighter than my Sunday but poses better. I'm still trying to work out how to best string these girls.

I think there's a little bit of hot glue in my Sunday's future, if only because the range of motion in her hands is enormous but the range of poses she can actually hold is very small. My Ciao Bella had the same issue and some hot glue in her wrists fixed her right up.

    19. well only her arms are snappy and I can deal with that... its just the rest of her body acts floppy (not snapping/kicking out... just flopping out of place)

    20. A happy weekend for Sunday collectors...! Here's mine:

    21. They wear a size 7-8. I've had a halfdozen 7-8 wigs on my Sunday and they've all fit fine.

    22. Hi Jay! Thank you...! I can't wait to see yours, too.:aheartbea I love how unique each of these dolls are because of their different artists!

Sunday's dress is by Swan (and stockings)
I don't know who made the jacket..I bought it her on the forum.
Her wig is made by anjiswigdesigns (off Ebay)
And her shoes are by Leeke.

    23. Although I really love the eyes that my Brava Bambi's came with and was soooo happy that they both came with a matching set, I was feeling that smaller ones might look nice. So I switched Jayna's eyes to these eyes:

Then I decided to try smaller eyes on Jakk too:

I think that Jakk can rock both sizes, but personally I think that my Jayna looks better with the smaller ones..

    24. I really like the smaller eyes too. I really love your Jayna. She has such a sweet face!

Here is my Sunday with the smaller 14mm eyes.

    25. Oh your Sunday is so pretty! Those eyes look great in her :)

..I actually ended up changing their eyes again because I found the the light reflecting on the shape of the acrylics was wrecking a lot of my pictures. So I switched them with some 14mm glass ones I had lying around. I like the blue ones on Jakk, but I'm not sure how I feel about the dark grey on Jayna..

    26. Speaking of Jakk (my BC June), today I was playing around with his arms wondering why the elbow joints were made the way the are. Then I realized that he can move his arms at more of an angle then most of my other dolls can without flinging out of the pose once you let go!

Hope no-one minds all the pictures, but I just thought it was really neat that he can hold great poses like putting his hand on his head without suading or those joints with the third piece!

I had been struggling with his legs for a while though. His knees swiveled all the time and and seemed to cave inwards making him look like a bo-legged anime girl haha ;)
But today I added wire to the inside of his legs at the knees and at the part where the legs connect to the torso; and now he poses like a dream, I couldn't be happier!! :D

I haven't done this to Jayna yet because her leggings are so tight that they keep her knees pretty straight, but if anyone is interested I can take some pictures whenever I get around to wiring her.. :sweat

    27. The peakswood 7-8/FOB wigs should fit fine. Anything 7-8 will fit, pretty much.

    28. Thanks chibaraki~ :D The wig is from Leekeworld, it's a heat-resist one in chocobrown. It works really great on her but it does belong to another doll of mine so I think I'll have to get her her own! The main issue I have with her body is that her legs are too loose and her arms are too tight. I think she'll be better if I tighten the stringing in her body and maybe put some kips pads or something in her elbows. Her arms are always popping out of their sockets when I'm trying to pose her and it drives me nuuuuts... D:

Thank you tyviris and Lana! I will try to take some better photos soon... ^_^

    29. I haven't had a whole lot of play time with my Sunday. I need to work with her body more, maybe I should try the wire.

Have you decided to keep her?

You know how much I love your photos Mimi!!! Absolutely gorgeous!!

Played a bit today with my Sunday and April....

    30. My J-Na is finally ready to meet everyone. I redid her faceup as I wanted a different, more neutral palette. It's so hard not to spoil my pretty baby!

She hasn't whispered her name to me yet.

The body is a bit annoying to pose until you glue suede. That makes all the difference in the world.

Please say hi to my darling girl! She wants to be your friend.

      Thank you for looking!

      Jay

    31. Wow, everyone's girls are beautiful! I love the face-up, Jay!! Perhaps I will try to suede my girl and see if that improves things.

And I saw those photos on flickr mimichocolat, they are just beautiful! Makes me want a Sunday~ ^_^

Thanks Miss S :D I just got a new lens for my birthday so she's gonna be my test subject today.

edit: Can't decide if I like her better with light hair or dark hair... :huh?:

    32. I took some doll photos yesterday, and my Sunday and her new deep blue wig wound up hogging the spotlight. XD I love her in dark blue.

      More photos here.

    33. chibaraki - Love your Sunday in that color wig and outfit! Really looks terrific. She doesn't get overwhelmed by the dark color at all.

Here's a picture of my Sunday with new faceup by me. I also gave her smaller size eyes for this photo. She is living in a new home now. But I enjoyed her very much while she was here. But I'm partial to my J-na, so Sunday deserves a home where she'll be loved the most.

    34. Here are photos of Isablle, from Yoon's Flickr:

I can't decide if I love her, or if I hate her. :(

Her look is sorta reminiscent of Dollstown to me, which is not a look I go for, personally. So completely different than anything BC has done before. If this is the Brava elf, I think I will be holding onto my prize points a while longer...

    35. EEEP! I absolutely love her!!!! Gah! Why did they have to release another one?

My only complaint is the body. While I love the shape of it, it doesn't cooperate as well as some. I think I'm going to have to break down and restring mine. The legs are all crazy and floppy.

      Jay

    36. I'm dying to see what you could do with this one Jay!

I really like her...but she is so completely different than Sunday and J-Na. Of course, I could set her up on the opposite side of the room...not like she'd have to sit with the other girls. :)

My only problem is that, like you, I'm not crazy about that body. I am so in love with the faces on these girls though.

    37. My Sunday's got some crazy legs too. I want to try hot glue sueding her to see if it helps -- it really helped with some of my CB's joints. The Brava Bambi body is really pretty though, so I just sort of deal with its issues. XD

My big problem is that the knees like to pop out of their sockets and sometimes even turn around backwards. @_@ Doesn't seem to matter how I string her, though, it just keeps happening.

    38. Thats the first thing I noticed about J-Na...those knee joints are a bit funky. I thought I'd give hot glue sueding a try too...though it will be the first time I've done it. And you're right, the body is pretty.

    39. Oh, so you've already tried restringing her and no better? If so, then I'm certainly not going to bother with the hassle of restringing. I did glue suede mine already but the knees still want to pop out and be crazy. I do love the look of this body though and it does stand and sit really nicely. So, like you, I'm just going to deal with the knee thing. Would love to find a "cure" though!

      Jay

    40. She was really tight when I got her and her knees kept popping out backwards. I thought maybe loosening her up would help, but it didn't do anything for the knees popping out and now her legs tend to twist. I think the knee joints just aren't the best-engineered ever. It's not a huge problem, I just don't leave her standing unattended ever because her legs are too unstable.

      Her wrists and elbows actually have a huge range of motion, she's just not capable of holding most of the poses on her own. Hotglue sueding plus tightening up her arms should improve that a lot, I think. In any case she's definitely more posable than my newest doll -- he's a Volks MSD and I won't leave him standing unattended either because his hips are too unstable. ^^;

    41. I tried some smaller size eyes in Mirabelle (J-Na). These are Masterpiece eyes and I actually like them quite a lot. Just thought I'd share in case anyone is interested in trying different eye sizes on their girl.

This picture isn't crystal clear, but I kind of like the effect. Reminds me of an old fashioned post card.

      I really love this girl.

      Jay

    42. Do you think restringing will make a difference? I'm tossing up whether to do mine. I wonder if they used a cheaper elastic? I might order some better elastic and restring her. My Rosette won't stand either and the elastic doesn't appear to be wonderful on her. I don't mind restringing, but until now, I haven't ordered many different sizes of elastic. Sigh. Now that my collection has expanded, I'll probably have to get a hot glue gun as well.

Wow, I love Mirabelle's look. Interestingly, both J-Na and the new girl are starting to grow on me, but until I get Sunday's body working perfectly, I won't be buying another one unless I can find a new body that matches and poses well.

    43. I wired my June & J-Na's legs and it completely fixed the problem!
Here's some pictures of what I did: http://www.denofangels.com/forums/showthread.php?p=5410089#post5410089

      J-Na before:
(Her knees always used to bow inwards to stand)

      J-Na after wiring:

She can even stand with her weight shifted now too:

    44. She might a June head with a non-default faceup on the normal Brava Bambi body. I'm pretty sure the June and J-na heads are the same mold, though, so the distinction is really one of resin colour.

    45. Hi everyone.... it's been a while since I bought a BC. When I left off with them there were numerous complaints about the resin quality and such. But I am always irresistably drawn to their beautiful sculpts and would really like to try one of these Bravas.

The new Emily looks lovely, too!

So, any problems with underweight resin or breakage? I don't have a problem sueding them, and I have been known to forgive imperfect posing for a beautiful face. But if their quality is going downhill overall, I might think twice about a purchase...

      I'm hoping you're all happy!

    46. I've never had a problem with BC's resin quality. I bought my sleeping Kumi 2 1/2 years ago and she's still doing great -- I initially had a problem with one part being WS and the rest of her being NS but BC fixed that right up and I've never had any other trouble with her.

My Sunday is actually probably the heaviest doll I own. I think she outweighs my Volks MSD. I'll have to set them on my mail scale someday and find out. XD Her resin is really nice, very toothy. I had a J-Na briefly and I LOVED the color of the white resin, I wish I'd gotten my Sunday in white in retrospect. Her resin quality was superb as well.

My only real complaint is that the legs are difficult, much like the legs on the ciao bellas. My Sunday's knees tend to pop out backwards and her legs tend to twist and turn around the wrong way when I pick her up (she may need to be tightened). The body sculpt is so pretty that I really don't mind, though. And it looks like at least one person has had a lot of success improving the legs by wiring them.

    47. Looks like Brava Bambi Emily will also have a Lullaby head! :)

    48. I think Emily does look like one of the smaller Bambis. Which is a good thing.

So my J-Na was kind of driving me nuts with the whole crazy knee syndrome. I did glue suede her and it didn't help with the knee thing that much. So I decided to try the wiring thing. Since I had some on hand, I used pipe cleaners doubled. It totally worked! No more crazy knees! Now she poses perfectly. Just thought I'd share that and thank you to the member here who suggested the knee wiring.

Winternight - the resin quality is gorgeous on my J-na. She's the white skin. And it's a really gorgeous color. Not stark white. In fact, it has more "color" to it than any other white skin I've seen. It's really quite a lovely shade.

      Jay

    49. I have to try wiring my J-Na...my Sunday came on Monday and she stood right out of the box! I was really surprised.

I agree...the resin is so beautiful. My Sunday is the Peach Puff (normal skin) and I didn't realize that my J-Na is Floral White until I saw her with Sunday. They are both so beautiful. I really want Emily to make a threesome also.

    50. [IMG]
I love:aheartbea this little girl so much that I went a little :sweatoverboard today. This is the Sunday doll I adopted from Jay. This picture is no good, it doesn't do her justice because she is really totally gorgeous. So anyway I put a tan Emily and Judy and a floral white Emily and Judy basic dolls on layaway. Cost as much as my mortgage!. I have been waiting to feel buyers remorse but so far nada:lol::doh

    51. I so agree with you!!!! These dolls are just so amazingly beautiful in pictures and even more so in real life. I'm so enthralled by my two girls everytime I pass them, I have to stop and look at them. I totally want the FW Emily along with the Tan Emily I put on layaway and would love to have Judy too!!!! *_* I HATE white skin dolls but J-Na's white resin is so, so lovely!

I can't wait for your box opening!!!!

    52. Yaaaaay I literally refreshed the site all day when I was at work. I fell in love with tanned emily as soon as I saw her so bought her as soon as she became available!!!

    53. I really meant to buy an Angelregion Dana on their Christmas sale, but seeing the Emily she was just too perfect to pass up. The color of the tan, the look, even the name...it's exactly perfect for my current doll's daughter. XD Awesome. The 3 month layway even more so.
