The immature body is the same body as the mature with a flat chested chest plate. All pants and shoes will fit both, anything that fits the mature tightly in the chest will work well on the immature.

~Resinsoul Female Immature Double jointed~
(aka: Li body)
The immature (Li) body is the same body as the mature (Rong) body with a small chested chest plate. Anything that fits the Rong's lower half will absolutely fit the Li, Things that are too tight on the Rong's bust, should fit properly on the Li.

Measurements between the male single and double jointed body are nearly identical. Until told differently, The clothes that fit the single, should fit the double.

Q. "Are you listing User Market place stores?"
A. No. Here on DoA you can search for, contact, and confirm any and all measurements with the seamstress/tailor directly and without ever leaving DoA, in fact you won't be able to make an order without directly contacting them. Further more, the list of users here is enormous and the listing would be pages long before we even got to an off site seller. So please do not give me the link to a seller on the MP here on DoA.

"My bbb Mei"
Many people get confused by Resinsoul and Bobobie, being you can buy both off the bobobie website. The easiest way to tell if a doll is bobobie or if it's resinsoul is to see if it's on the RS site. There are no bobobie dolls on their site, so if a doll is on the RS site then it is a resinsoul. If it's not, it's a bbb. To further confound matters you can buy any of the rs or bbb dolls from Denis (Answers bobobie's Admin email) in any combination. So you can get a bobobie body with a mei head if you so desired. In fact you could get a mei head on a bobobie male body if you wanted. For purposes of this thread, please specify what body your doll is on, not what head mold it has.

"Mature Single jointed"
The single jointed body from Resinsoul has only one bust size. Many people specify that their Mei or Lan is on the mature body which is cause for some confusion. If your doll is single jointed, it is not "mature" it's simply a mature mold and there is no immature version of it.

"It's a Lan body"
All of the female single jointed resinsoul dolls come on the same body. Lan and Lu, though listed as a different size, come on the same body as Mei, Ju, Ya and Fei. The only difference is that Lan and Lu have a significantly smaller head. The 40 CM dolls actually wear a 5-6 wig while the mei and friends wear 6-7. Eventually this might change, Sun suggested that the Double jointed mature (Rong body) might become the default for everything except the Lan and Lu. When ordering directly from RS you might want to specify Single or double jointed if you have a distinct love of one or the other.

 

~Which body is mine?~
This question actually deserves it's own post. It is Essential to know for me and for you when using this thread. I'm going to Specify the easiest ways to tell what you have

BBB~
The bobobie bodies are all very similar, and they have the same characteristics. They are all double jointed, with the bean and ball shaped floating joints. The extra piece in the leg is shaped like a kidney bean, while the extra peice in the arm is a small ball, like an extra large bead. their wrists and ankles are the "sleeve" style. The writs and ankles sit IN the arm, causing the wrists especially to look unnaturally thick. Some people (read me) have modded their doll to have a less pronounced lip around their doll's wrist or ankle. Another very distinct feature of the bobobie body is the three piece torso. While most double jointed dolls have a three piece torso bobobie's top torso is jointed under the ribs, not at the bust, and all the torso edges are rounded.

RS Single~
ResinSoul has both single and double jointed bodies, to tell which is which is fairly easy. The single jointed bodies have a two piece torso where the double's have a three piece torso. Other distinct features are indevidual to the male and female bodies. the girls have pronounced butt dimples, and are extreamly thin. The males are slim but not as slender as the female body is. the single jointed body is old enough that it has had several incarnations, Originally it had the rounded joint in the body like a bobobie now it has a lipped smooth joint. So the torso is smooth when sat up straight.

RS double~
As stated in the single jointed blurb, Resinsoul's double jointed dolls have a three peice torso. One joint directly under the chest and one at the top of the hips. the joints in the torso are the smooth lipped joints, where there is an inset place for the joint to sit where the body will be smooth. the floating joint in the RS is a capped floating joint. While the bobobie body has a ball on either end of the floating joint the RS floating joint is a ball and a cap. I believe this is the same for both arm and leg joints.

 

thanks Beatrix, I have actually Ommited Dollmore fromthe RS list because I was told they pretty much don't fit at all. though if you have pics that'd be great ^_^

 

LessyFace~ 6-7 is the right size, but that rubber band is one of the better ways to get the wigs to stay on. my sister and I use silicone wig caps but it's pretty much the same thing as the rubber band. If it feels like the wig is too tight you could give the wig cap alittle split in the back, just make sure to shore up the snip. Some fur will stay locked, other furs will shed a bald spot, so just some Elmers gently into the edges of the cut to be sure.

I'll make sure to note the Impledoll stuff on the first page ^_^

Neveth~ well The DJ's feet are just a bit bigger than SJ's So depending on the style it should be "just right" to "big" but I havn't had much in the way of people with Dollzone's shoes :/ Best guess is to look for ones that list the size of the shoe and go for the ones that are no longer than 6 CM, or inner length of 5.8cm (5.5cm if you can find them) Honestly the difference that makes the most difference in how the shoes fit is not so much the length of the foot but the Thickness of the foot. the thicker the foot the easier it is to make shoes fit ^_^

 

Mirrin~ ^_^ Thanks so much! we need all the info we can get on the new boys ^_^ Unfortunately I'm a little brain dead at the moment... it took me nearly 2 minutes to realize MoC was mint on card >.<

Yoruaoimoto ~ Mirrin is spot on. Your Mei will come on the resinsoul single jointed body unless you specified otherwise when you ordered her.

 

Weeeell, the first shoe is made for a YoSD, and they have wide short little feet. The foot that it's made for is only 5 cm long. If the given dimensions are Inner length you'll be find with those, but if it's outer length... Snowball's chance in the desert. The others on the other hand are going to be a bit long, 6.8 is a teensy bit longer than I like on girls but it's perfect for my boy (cus yea.. guys have big feet?) So long as you don't mind a slightly clunkier look, it will be perfectly fine.

In summary, Only get the first pair if you're feeling adventurous (or have a yo that can pick up the slack if they don't fit). Second pair is a pretty sure thing, if a little long.

And yes that dress should fit and from the way it fits I'm gonna go out on a limb and say it should fit without too much of a hitch, ankles and wrists of the coat and pants could be snug, maybe even tight, but from what I know, they shouldn't be bad.

 

Nope. I'm never sure. Raesha has done a good job of laying it out, and the outfit you were talking about might have some problems in where she has pointed out. The waistline of the pants doesn't look elastic or stretch nor is the bottom of the shirt part, but of course the little dress they have going over top of the outfit will fit beautifully and if the other bits don't fit perfect under the dress you might be able to get away with the outfit anyway because they will be covered.

Buying clothes is always a bit of a craps shoot and this is just a guideline. The good news is, Yea, Doll zone stuff is expensive... but if it doesn't fit with Doll zone someone might recoup your losses a bit on the market place. Dollzone is pretty beloved for their clothes as far as I know. Who knows, maybe someone is selling it on the MP right now.

 

If they look like they are elastic in the waist, shouldn't be a problem. If they have a regular waist band, probably not gonna fit right. Anything that's loose in the waist like something with an empire waistline, you're golden. Corseted things that you can actually adjust the size of the item usually work for vastly more sizes. Just keep things like that in mind when you're looking around, check measurements and stuff like that, most times you'll be safe

 

If it's a -boy- and he's supposed to have big feet... it could work. BUUUUT Sprite (and I assume you're talking about a girl here) nearly seven and a half CM is gonna be pretty big, even if it's external length. I don't buy anything that's over 6.5 cm external.

 

Vinnyflower~ your dolls on the single jointed yes?

 

Looks like they -should- fit, though they might be slightly baggy. It's Slim mini, and is modeled on a doll that looks to have similar proportions, and the female stuff fits on the SJ female loosely so you should be pretty safe.
