Yay, I love seeing everyone's photos!

Verity (Isabella) came to work with me yesterday because I was feeling stressed and ill. Such a good size to cart around in my handbag. I love that she's so stable I can leave her standing on my desk and not worry that someone brushing against the desk will knock her over, even in a fully petticoated lolita dress. She stands on one foot like a champ, too, the only one of my dolls who is happy doing that.

Does anyone have any tips on increasing the mobility of the wrists/hands? Verity might as well have her hands fused to her wrist for all the good the joint does her, and it is hampering her pokemon training.

I got my Isabella second hand and she's strung without s-hooks. She's a bit over a year old now and her hands can finally move a little, now that her strings have loosened a bit (she was strung super tight when she was brand new). I think the only way to get a lot of pose-ability out of her wrists is to use s-hooks and suede her. :/

 

Sueding the wrists of my Isabella girls helped their wrist posing greatly, but it's still not as good as I'd like. I'll be adding S-hook next to see if that helps any more when added to the sueding.

Myste's wig came home! I'm totally in love with it, and the gray color on her!



See? She's just MEANT to have gray hair, and not the black I thought she wanted! Now...I'm looking to gather another 2-3 gray wigs for her, too...*laughs* I've a few that have hopes of getting...but I need the money for them first! At least 1 is another Michele Hardy Fwig!

nikopiko oh, I love your Isabella/Suzu! I've seen this photo before because I saw it on flickr (and I added her to my group called 'tiny dolfies'!) the other day. I love what you have done to her, and I love the face-up.

I've got a question.

Have any of you tried these shoes or these on your girl?

My isabella's foot is 40/18cm... There's a pair that's 42/16mm and 48/16mm. They're also heels. Should I risk it or will they not fit at all?

 

I am not sure if the bbb feet can point enough to stand in heels quite that high. I do know that tyler feet are very arched.

 

Facets by Marcia states that neither of those styles will fit Ellowyne Wilde--and her feet are slimmer than ours dolls'.

 

Thanks everyone. ^_^ She is my first doll this size and I must say I love this size! She stands like a rock--even in heels.

Her hair is Monique Gold Paris in Double Red. I'm really happy with the style and the quality is amazing, but it's quite a bit darker than I wanted. Her eyes are just temporary ones that I had laying around--she has some green ones on order. I'm also going to be sending her off soon for a faceup, blushing, and heavy full body freckling. ^_^ I'm holding off on naming her until I see her with her freckles.

The boots....are the whole reason I decided to give 1/6 dolls a try. There are so many cute shoes out there for Tyler Wentworth and I couldn't find anyone who knew if they fit RS 27cm girls. The measurements looked ok, so I decided to go ahead and get a little 27cm fashionista to spoil with shoes. ^_^; The white boots are made for Ellowyne Wilde and are sold by http://facetsbymarcia.com They fit quite well (not perfect) and the ankle support the tall boots provide make standing no problem at all. I also picked up a pair of black knee-high zippered boots which also fit, and a pair of red heels which totally don't. It seems that shoes that will fit Elllowyne will fit our girls (though Ellowyne's feet are slimmer, so don't expect a perfect fit and also, her foot is heeled and has more pointed toes so open styles probably won't look good).

I decided my girl is about her shoes, so I'm actually modding her feet to make Tyler Wentworth shoes work better. So far I have sanded the sides of her foot down slimmer and all but taken off her pinky toe. Next I'm going to boil her feet and try to reshape them to fit into heels better. :3

 

Ahh, yess!! I've been dying to see these girls in heels! Thanks for posting that info!

 

Wow, she really does look great in those heels! There's probably a way to modify her feet without losing toes, too. XD
