so i'm curiouse where have people been getteing there bbb's march/isabelle,beis,baos shoes i have been searching but atlas i fail i dont know if i asked this question or if someone else di and i aplogiz4e if its been answered

 

ohhh thank you ^.^ i did let it dry over night once already then briushed it and re dyed it it diudnt come out blue enough the first time but i will most defently do that thank you very very much ^.^

I will ^.^ she should be coming soo i am like anxiouse i want to start making her colthes but alas i use the doll and try stuff on as i go kinda thing ya kno i do have a liv world doll and people have been saying liv colthes fit on march's so i;m like maybe i can use her and maye the colthes a hair bigger ot not close them off till rikka comes in

Using a liv doll as a model would work well, just remember that March has a thicker waist and a HUGE bum! and larger feet and hands.
I really like the clothes by Liv, Madison has two of the full sets and one of the fashions sets.
Everything fits fairly well; some sleeves have to have small slits put in them, and the BBB bum, if she sits she must wear a longer shirt ^^;

 

awsome i might do that ^.^ so my wig is coming out blue lol so my next project is going from blonde to white this should be agervateing

 

so i got rikka second hand from somone here on DOA and i couldnt be more happy march is such a cute BBB sso as promised piccies i am still working on the dyed wig the tutorial i showed you guys yhea its kinda fail and not at the same time pluss i am working on an outfit for rikka so here a ust some quickies ^.^

ok gals as Lu promised she would.. THE DYED WIG!

now the tutorial I used wasn’t completely wrong however I did have to dye the wig like three times and let it dry each time for a day before washing and doing it again so if you decide to do this take that into consideration secondly I do not see any stains being left on the doll from the wig HOWEVER I do not leave it on her longer then pictures so if you do this take it into consideration ​

Also ...I uhh burnt some of the hair when I was blow drying it ..Yhea I’m an idiot I put it on the hair ..Yhea don’t do that so I cut off the burnt pieces and uhh "styled" it ​

Oh also uhh I didn’t know this when I was dyeing but if you want a certain shade you have to pic a paint that’s a shade darker then you want because its gong to come out lighter ​

And after I heat treated it felt dry and brittle like straw it was rather gross ​

So I used a pit of palmers coconut butter on it and rinsed the lotion out and the wig felt normal and soft now id this method correct I don’t know but it did work for me​

Loving the spam! I hope to work some on Casspian on Saturday...I was going to today...but wound up having to puppy sit my sister's new pup. Between my 2 kids, my new puppy, and my sister's puppy...well...there was just no way!

So...here's to hoping I have some 'in progress' spam of Casspian to share come Sunday! I'm going to work on his right arm first...he was born with it missing from the elbow down, and so sometimes wheres a prosthetic. So...instead of leaving his arm as is and claim prosthetic, it's getting some carving modding done to give it a more futuristic feel...hopefully something that with a few non-permanent tweaks can also pass for a decently steam punk robotic/what have you arm, as my little shape shifting boy might just wind up in 2 sets of role plays. One fantasy steam punk, and one super future (ok...so super future, Sailor Moon based...but eh.) based. After I've got his arm done, I'll start working on the mods that the Bao head needs, as I'm not sure how to go about those yet. THEN, once the bigger dolls I'm waiting on get home, everyone who needs it will be getting face-ups, body blushing, tattoos, scars, and all that kind of stuff...

I loving all the spam!! I've decided my girl (who is currently at home whilst I'm at university) needs a new faceup. I think she needs to look less sweet and more edgy, punk-ish! This will require the purchase of a new wig too. My girl;s going to get a makeover!

I restrung Anjeni today. I dropped her arm elastic off the hook in her head and moved the knot for her legs into her torso. I used moleskin to suede all her joints and added s-hooks to her wrists and ankles. I've been wanting to add the hooks so I could take advantage of more Liv and Barbie clothing.

The suede in her arm joints doesn't seem to do that much but her knees are vastly improved and her torso joint is more useful now. I'm not sure if the hip joints are better or not but they aren't any worse at least.

I wanted to get better photos but despite posing great when I was trying out the mods she refused to stand for more than two shots when I took her off my messy desk. The brat. Her messy hair is due to falling over just before this shot, which is the last I tried because she dove off the shelf into my cleavage right after this one.



The outfit (minus the boots) is Liv and as you can see it is very tight on the Bobobie body. The shirt doesn't even fasten below her waist, which is why I have the micro mini skirt over it. She can get into jeans that came with that set but she can't sit in them, she can't even bend her knees much.

Barbie clothing (Fashion Fever in particular) fits her better, though she can't sit in those jeans either, but she can at least bend a bit so she could sit leaning back on her hands.

 

First, Madison is as adorable as ever!

And I intend to carve into the resin for the main body of the arm, and then make separate bits and bobs that I can use to add to it that can also be removed, depending on what story he's being photographed for. As I think I've said on this thread before, he is one set character, but he fits perfectly for two separate stories, so he'll be used in both. One is a Steampunk Fantsy mix RP, the other is a Sailor Moon based RP that takes place, for those familiar with the cannon stuffs, long after Crystal Tokyo's time.

I made her wig, it was my first time using weft (which I also made) so there are things I will change in the next version but the style of it (which I didn't like when I first cut it) is growing on me. First I need to finish Namid's though. Anjeni's eyes are Dollmore acrylics, 14mm D02 I think.

 

I've got two pairs of skinny jeans from a Fashion Fever set, they fit so perfectly and she can sit, pose, etc in them- however they require her feet to be removed to get them on (I modded s-hooks into my girl's feet and hands, so its no biggie for me).

I let my girl sit with her knees bent for a few weeks and they fit like a glove and are very posable!

 

That's the set I have. The red capris fit well, the lace trimmed jeans she can't sit upright in (yet, we'll see about stretching them). Is your girl on the Bobobie body or the Resinsoul one? Anjeni is on the BBB (she's a March, Isabella uses the same body) and the RS one is a bit slimmer (I think that's the default for Bei and Ni).

 

Mine's on the BBB body, but she has been wearing them for a long time- so they are very worn in (lol when I take them off they're still in the shape of her legs!) I did notice that even though I have 2 pairs they both fit a bit differently, so idk.

 

On clothing this small being off by a millimeter makes a difference. I noticed that the left leg was a teeny bit tighter than the right on the jeans. Now whether that's the pants or Anjeni's thunder thighs being differently sized I don't know. But we'll try stretching them out with wear. I'll be hoping for some stretch on the Liv jeans too since they look good on her (once you convince them to fasten over her butt) but it's a good thing she doesn't need to breathe.

 

Yay! Got to start modding Casspian today! I've finished carving into his arm..need to do a light sand and buff to get rid of some scratches. I've started on his hand...which doesn't have a LOT to do...but it's HOT here today, I'm working outside in the sun so I can clearly see, and I realized I couldn't see straight and my hands were cramping up after the 2 hours of work it took to finish his arm (JUST noticed she was outside for 2 hours...heh.) so I am inside, with air conditioning, ice water...and about to get some food before I go back to it. Will have lots of in-progress pics to post when I'm done! I'm remembering to take them decently frequently, so I can post this project in the Customizations forum.

Aze02- I;m watching your doll mod thread ^.^ i cant wait to see more .. the wig dying came out well as i said but fortuneately liv wigs are so cheap its not to much of wasite if you dont like it i would suggest staying in a blonde range though and dyeing dark ..i hear dying dark haior can be a real pain thank you for the complament

 

So...I am totally frustrated today! I decided to go ahead and paint Casspian's arm and hand...and aside from SEALING the blasted things..NOTHING went right! I couldn't mix the colors I wanted, the painting looked just...awful...and my brushes didn't want to cooperate. All in all...1 coat of MSC and 1 hour of time not exactly wasted. At least now I know that I need to go buy some metallic paints...copper, gold, and silver. Then we'll try that again!

 

I'm pretty sure they would fit Barbie clothes. They have a long range of clothes from there, and they are pretty cheap in price, but they stay together nice.

 

Well I wiggled Anjeni into her Liv jeans last night.



I really like the look and she can bend her knees pretty close to 90 degrees, it's just sitting that is right out at the moment. Maybe they'll stretch some. I have to really tug to get them fastened but they do close completely in the back. So the final count on this package of Liv clothing is that she can wear everything but the lilac purple 3/4 sleeve top. That top will not fasten below her waist due to her hips and butt but could be shortened to waist length, or could be worn layered under something else that would cover the open back (be aware of the exposed hook side velcro).

darkraichu55 - Barbie clothes fit well, but the pants and skirts are tight on the bobobie bum and thighs

On Pants - Madison has BOTH of these sets of clothes, and a few more, from camp rock

the boys pants fit cute, a little baggy, but she can sit down in them closed, the girls pants are capries, and fit well when she stands, the shirts fit too! and the boys stuff fit well on my old bao, too.

Does anybody know where I could find ballet shoes for our girls? I just made madison a leotard and leg warmers (her tights are from Liv) but she needs shoes, I wish peapod doll had ballet feet for yo-sd (as they would serve)

 

Getting her into those jeans reminded me of my teenage years and laying on my bed (and exhaling all my breath and sucking in my stomach) to zip my jeans.

That's her second wig that I made. It has a crochet cap and single strands of embroidery floss for hair. I latch hooked most of it in and then made wefts for the parts.

 

I got her blondish-brown wig from sunny's wonderful world on ebay, her blonde mohair from a seller on DoA, but the maker is Fwigs (on denverdoll.com), and lastly the pink wig was a free gift from a seller on DoA, which seems handmade.

I am expecting her arrival this month.

so lu has found herself anothedr project surfing around i found another tutorial for dying wigs here and to be hionest i want to see how it will fair agianst the other method i;'ve tried and how it will work on live world wigs

also lu its getting gutzy she might try to put some curls in the dolls hair...by boiling

I couldnt quite get 16mm eyes to fit into the head of mine. the eyes bumped into each other.on the 16mm you couldnt really see hardly any whites. so the 18's would super dilated looking. the ONLY way to get 18mm eyes in the head would be to cut the sides of the eyes down so they could closer together. (unless they were the squishy silicon kind maybe) hmmmm.....

 

Hi Guys! Quick question: Buying a bobobie bei today, and I was wondering if the Impldoll Imp Baby outfit would fit. Seems like it would be too big, but I really like it. What do you guys think?

 

Comparing the measurements of the two dolls, it seems like the Impldoll clothes would definitely be too big.

 

Seems like it would be to big but you might be able to alter the outfit and take it (does it all the time) but if your looking for quick outfits(and hair) they fit liv world wigs and colthes (i believe they will fit into some barbie colthes as well)

 

*sigh* I think it is too big as well. Oh well. Bought a blue bei anyway!

Its ok. Truth be told, that while its my money being spent, its really going to be my younger sister's doll. Gonna make her clean my house, like, every weekend lol. But I decided to get her a doll so that we could share a hobby together, and she loves the dolls I already have, and is always excited when I tell her about them. I'll definitly be posting arrival pictures and faceup pictures and all that good stuff ^_^

We ordered through DDE in stock, so I expect her to arrive next week

I've never posted pictures of this girl, mainly because I've never been satisfied with her (to this day, even). But she's looking a little better... so here's Delirium! She's an Isabella. I sanded her cheeks down pretty heavily.

 

I got the paint I need to work on Casspians' arm today! Now...if only the stormy rainy weather of the last 2-3 days would go away so I could USE said paint...I MAY just paint without sealing first, as it's acrylics, and I'm not too worried about them staining, given that the colors are never going to change. That...and with my carving into his resin for his mods...well...staining isn't going to affect his value any more than that already did!
