Can anyone suggest how to get eyelashes to stick. The previous owner put some in when she shipped her but they came out and lost one already.

Hey everyone, nice to see new pictures posted, keep them coming! I would also be very interested in owner pictures of Xu PinkCow, but unfortunately there don't seem too many around. Maybe yours will be the first in this thread...? Oh and I always use simple white glue for eyelashes Princess_Sarah_Em, the trick is to let it dry for quite some time, like a few hours, before putting in the eyes. I haven't had any problems so far.
I tried another look on my March, usually I'm not a big fan of gothic lolita fashion but this combination was just too cute:

Ok, does anyone have a Zi and a Xu who can show me comparison photos of the dolls next to each other?

 

Just wanted to pitch in in case no one had (searched and didn't see it!), clothes made for Funville's Sparkle Girlz (I've found them at Walmart) are a perfect fit for these girls. Even with pants! They're pretty decent looking and well made, the only weird thing is that the tops and bottoms are attached. Dresses and skirt sets have a strap that goes between the legs, presumably to keep them from riding up.

Hey guys! I need some assistance. I need to see a body comparison of the old RS/BBB 1/6 body (Bei etc.) to the new body (Zi). Can anyone help a girl out? I am trying to figure out how much of a difference there is, because I need to do some clothes shopping for the new body and KNOW from having a Bei in the past that generic YOSD/Littlefee clothes do not fit. HALP! Please

 

Just so you know Mortifox, I don't have the new body, but pixiu/pi/zi/xu all have interchangeable butts/torsos... So -size- wise they are pretty similar. I know that's not super helpful buuuut It might make your search a little easier...

I also have a BBB March and one time I put her head on his body and it did not look good XD He has a much more feminine body then Zelda lol.

I have (well, I'm trying to give her to my mom, cause this would be such a fun hobby to do together!) a light tan Ni named Katy, who's the little sister of my Minifee boy, Dylan. Some of you might remember her as SapphireStargazer's Katy (she was a birthday/Xmas gift last year ^^

We've kinda got clothes figured out (Barbie stuff seems to work), but we're on the hunt for shoes and kind of at a loss, everything seems at least 1cm too big D:
We'd love to hear your recommendations for shoes!

 

Alchemist's fire~ Doll mansion Has shoes that are 4.3 to 4.7 cm long, the 4.7 is a bit long but not super terrible... I'm going to be ordering some soon, and will be able to tell/show how they fit after I get them. ^_^ Also Ruby red galleria has a few really nice shoes that fit...

So I had to replace Lotus' legs and Figs arms due to kitten attack... So now I have some damaged limbs Just bouncing around. Anyone else have bits of things they had to replace? Or is it just me with the naughty kitten?

 

Denver Doll Emporium has a good selection of shoes in the 43-45mm range. They also have some specifically listed as fitting our girls. Someone here (sorry, it's been a while since I saw the post so I can't quite remember who, she had very fashionable dolls, Raesha maybe?) has shown the Ruby Red Galleria shoes fit well.

 

Thanks Lynn Nexus! I'll have to check DM out, and maybe I'll find some things for my MSDs as well! I've already spotted a pair of heels I'd been looking at on eBay, hehe. I'll check our Ruby Red as well, always good to have places to look for shoes.

Ughhh guys I love Aspen, my Bao, but I can't help but think that I basically have half of a set of twins, two of my older oc's. Technically, I envisioned them MSD but the Bao sculpt is so perfect. The problem is finding money to buy his twin... especially when yosd isn't my favourite size and I'm swamped by them at the moment... not to mention needing wigs and eyes ; A ;

Hi! So I used to have a March but didn't end up bonding well, but then a beautiful Isabella went on the market and I had to buy her I'd share pictures of her now, but the thing is, I unstrung her to get her hands and feet blushed, and now I can't restring her with my new elastic...

I got elastic to string her with, but it seems too thick- it was almost impossible to get it through the holes in her wrist, and then once I managed that, there was no way to get the second end through her arm pieces again. I'm pretty sure I just need thinner elastic. So I was wondering if I could get some advice on where to buy elastic that will definitely fit and function?

Or- any advice/tricks on how to string her with thicker elastic?

Don't try to string her one side at a time. I use a ribbon to pull my strings through but that only works if you have s hooks which March will not have... You can try to stretch the elastic before it goes into the arm but you're going to have a hard time if it's so thick you can't get two sides through normally. Some people love their elastic way big, to the point where it is like you're talking, I personally like some wiggle-ability

Size wise you want about 2 to 2.5 MM elastic.

 

The problem is, don't I have to do it this way? She doesn't have S-hooks so how else can I string her but one end of elastic at a time?

 

So, she's still not strung, but here's why I'm asking how to string a bobobie Isabella without S-hooks... right now she's strung vertically but still armless ^^;;;

 

I;m sorry, I didn't explain myself properly. What I meant to say, and totally failed at is you can try to use ribbon to string her.

What I would do is take the elastic, tie a ribbon good and tight to it... like super tight. Make sure the ribbon is long. Thread everything onto the ribbon, through the arm, hand and back through the arm. Then carefully use the ribbon to pull the elastic through.

And it is possible to string both sides through at once, you just can't do what I'd call "normal" stringing if you do it that way, you have to string each arm/leg separately and tie them all in the head, Makes for a mess to be honest. If you can't string her with the new elastic, most JoAnnes have elastic by the yard and package elastic.

 

For the person who was interested in Ni, I just got one and her pics are all over my blog. She's really cute. I love her big eyes! She also poses pretty well.

I just ordered my Bao in normal skin from the JunkySpot! He's going to be one half of a set of fraternal fae twins. Kind of big sibling figures to Berwyn. So exited!

 

Sooo, finally ordered a pair of boots for my mom's RS Ni from Alice's Collections! They're cute, seem like they're maybe a tiny bit big, but they do fit her feet =) We got these ones in brown.

 

Thank you! Bao is my favourite yosd from Resinsoul c: he doesn't get a lot of love here because he doesn't fit in too well, but he is gorgeous. Congratulations on yours!

Lark is soooo cute! Is it hard to buy clothes for him? Is his style different from your other dolls or he's not in their story?

I held off on taking photos until I could make a little outfit (completely by the seat of my pants- I arbitrarily enlarged patterns of Berwyn's but it turned out pretty well!), apparently my Bao is particular about nudity! Meet Sindri! I am so taken with his sweet little face! His hair is Monique and his eyes are Eyeco soft glass from SafrinDoll:

Thank you~ I don't really buy clothes, but he fits the nine9style t-shirt in the picture fine, pants are tricky because he is slim and tall compared to normal yosds. The reason he doesn't fit in is because he has a very tiny head compared to my yosds and he also makes me think of a teenager where as my other dolls in his size are between 6 and 8 c:

 

Ah I see. It's actually why I love the 1/6 RS dolls- since my adult doll is a Lan she has a tiny head too! It's also why she's probably going to remain the only adult in a sea of tinies. I have plans for a sister for her (Ni) and a twin for Sindri (March) already!

I'm having a hard time telling from the company pictures. Are Xu and Zi the same face? I can't seem to find Zi head on sharp enough to tell. Thanks in advance!

 

Bluepita~ Xu and Pi are the same head, but Zi has much more pursed lips and a narrower nostrils. I totally understand the confusion, they do look very similar in the pics and it is just a single shot each.

Hopefully this is he right place to post. I just bought a green skin March today, and ws wondering if there was any discussions on clothes that fit? I know they are pretty skinny, so clothes made for ltf probably wouldn't fit right?

 

LTF clothes definitely won't fit, no, but some Barbie clothes will (and knockoff-Barbie "Sparkle Girls" clothes are a decent fit, too). I've got a couple of the Sparkle Girls outfits for Cete (Bei) while I work on her proper clothing, and they're a bit snug, but do work well for her.

 

Oh thanks. I was going to buy a fur wig for yosd size, but saw the measurement was 16cm, and Marchs head is 14cm, that's pukifee size. So I should get pukifee sized wigs for her? The bbb tinies seem to be a lot smaller and skinnier than regular yosd.

 

@LadyDeath, March can take a 5/6 wig. Mine has several 'Liv' doll wigs, and some Liv clothes fit her. In addition to Barbie tops/dresses and Ken pants, she can wear some LaLaLoopsy outfits and some other types of play doll clothes (Blythe, Licca). Blythe Sugarmag in particular has been said to fit for tops. Also check out this thread if you haven't already, it's the 'What Fits?' forum for RS/BBB 1/6. I recently put up some photos of stuff that fits March there, as well.

She's here! And I love how she can wear Barbie/Blythe clothes. I quickly put this outfit/wig on, but I'm getting her a fur wig in funky colours. Need to give her a faceup, but here she is for now. BBB/RS are awesome dolls.
