Where to buy: Bobobie - Original BJDollMall - Canada *SOON* JunkySpot - US (mid october) Since I ordered my last doll from there, I'd like to put up a thread! Basics: Ordered Through? BJDollMall, Canadian Rep. What did you order? A 60cm Bobobie Apollo full doll. How was the communication? The communication with Lucia was GREAT She replied very quickly and helped me along the way. Even put up with all my questions. Dennis from Bobobie is great with communication also How easy was it to pay? Very easy! I put down a preorder, and then paid the rest later, very smooth. She even let me choose my own kind of shipping, and went out of her way to get it there. How long did it take to ship? Well, they are located in Canada, and I'm in the US, so it could have taken two weeks or so. But I paid for two-day FedEx, and it arrived perfectly! Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Very worth the price! Bobobie dolls are very inexpensive, and some people might call them cheap - but having owned one myself I find them amazing! Did the item look like the sales pictures? Well.. The company pictures do the dolls no justice. Every doll I has seen from them looks much better than the pictures! Were you satisfied with the product? Very satisfied!! He is just amazing And going through the process was great!

* What did you order? Normal Skin Espree Mature body with default faceup * When did you order? Around 12th Dec 2008 * Did you order directly from the company, or through a distributor or dealer? From BBB's site; from Dennis * How was the communication? Great! Dennis is really nice and he will try his best to reply to his customers' questions. * How easy was it to pay? Easy with Paypal. * How long did it take to ship? Dennis said he shipped the doll around Monday/Tuesday (5th or 6th Jan) but I didn't expect her to arrive too soon because I thought the journey from other country takes a while!! XD She arrived on Wednesday (7th Jan) :3 * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Great~ I like it very much even it's my first doll! * Did the item look like the sales pictures? Yup~ Better~ * Were you satisfied with the product? Yup~ ^o^ * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? n/a * Would you order from this company again? definitely if got money. * Would you buy this company's products second-hand? * What did you order? White skinned Sprite with faceup * When did you order? 11/28/2008 * Did you order directly from the company, or through a distributor or dealer? Directly from the company. * How was the communication? It was fair enough ^^ I mean, there wasn't any personal conversation but I was notified when he was on his way and so on. It was good. * How easy was it to pay? Fairly. I got all messed up at one point 'cause I was so excited and I had my grandma with her credit card looking slightly distressed beside me. * How long did it take to ship? They shipped him on 12/19/2008 and he came on 12/21, maybe 22 (I wasn't there, he was shipped to my grandparent's). So 4-5 days, as they'd promised ^^ * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Oh, YES! Except... well... the joints are a bit kinky and his elastic basically sucks, but other than that, yeah, it was wonderful ^^ * Did the item look like the sales pictures? He looks even more beautiful than in the sales pictures, I just wish Bobobie put more pictures of their dolls up there. * Were you satisfied with the product? It being my first doll, yes VERY satisfied. His skin isn't as scuff-resistant as I'd planned, though, so the inside of his thighs and a bit outside and down his calves have slight scuff marks that bother me, but I think it's my fault anyway. * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? I really, don't know, since it WAS sorta my fault XD * Would you order from this company again? I'm planning to in June ^_- * Would you buy this company's products second-hand? Yes, I probably would. *laughs* He gave me free shoes, too, Azuria. ^^
* What did you order? BBB 60cm female body in NS * When did you order? 1/19/2009 * Did you order directly from the company, or through a distributor or dealer? Dealer. DDE * How was the communication? With DDE, pretty nice! Never talk to BBB. * How easy was it to pay? With DDE, pretty easy! just type in CC info. * How long did it take to ship? Less than three days after placing order, but my order was in-stock at that time. * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? At first, I didn't think so. BBB body came with loose string. Body had difficulty standing on her own. So I have to restring the body and replace the cord myself. Also hot-glue sueding too. * Did the item look like the sales pictures? The picture was not that clear on BBB's website. * Were you satisfied with the product? At first, no. But after "fixing" the body, yes! Only her lower leg was too long.. * Would you order from this company again? Maybe, not sure. * Would you buy this company's products second-hand? Maybe, if needed!
* What did you order? bobobie mei in NS with faceup on the resin soul body * When did you order? I think so, she needs some work, like sueding and perhaps restringing, but everything else is realy wonderful! Her hands look better than some more expensive dolls i've seen. * Did the item look like the sales pictures? The sales picture did not do her justice, she is so much more beautiful in person! * Were you satisfied with the product? yes!!!! * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? * Would you order from this company again? Definatley!!!! * Would you buy this company's products second-hand? Yes
What did you order? White skin Song, 1/4 body with default faceup When did you order? I ordered and paid on 09th January 2009 Did you order directly from the company, or through a distributor or dealer? Directly on Bobobie Doll Mail web How was the communication? The Bobobie´ Song was my forth doll. The communication with Bobobie was the worst I know so far. After a while from my order I send them mail, asking if they know, how long it will take - never been answered. After that failure I placed the same question on Bobobie forum. My question was first answered after 7 days. But that time, I was understandable, it was time of asian New Year. After month of waiting I asked again, I was aswered after 6 days. Bobobie said - "We will ship this week. Very sorry for late shipping." After that, I was waiting for notice from Bobobie, that my order is on the way, but it was never sent to me . Fortunately my Song arrived in that week, like they said, but without me knowing he is on the way. So communication was the worst ever I known. How easy was it to pay? Paypal. How long did it take to ship? I ordered and paid on 09th January 2009, my order arrived on 27th February - 50 days. Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Well, the doll was cheaper for sure, so I should say rather yes. From all my dolls Song is the poorest. I would like to mention here the way, my Song was packaged. He was in paper box which was cut in half, were his legs was gathered up. I couldn´t believe, he wasn´t damage in this way!!! And I couldn´t believe that company don´t have enough to send dolls in full paper box!! Did the item look like the sales pictures? Rather yes, but Bobobie don´t have good photos on their web, so I can´t tell clearly about faceup or body. Were you satisfied with the product? The Song is very sweet doll in my eyes and I am glad I bought him. The only thing is the customer servis - in my eyes and after this experience with Bobobie, I won´t ever buy from them. The quaility of the doll is rather less, the faceup is very basic, the body isn´t build very good in my opinion - in comparison with my other dolls. The joints are simply, the legs in hips area are oddly sized. Well, I will send my Song for new, better faceup and will try with sanding improve his moving in hips. I don´t know, if it will work of course. Would you order from this company again? definitely not. Would you buy this company's products second-hand? No.
* What did you order? I first ordered a pair of white boots and a BBB X-mas doll but after seeing photos here I changed my order to a BBB Mei * When did you order? December but changed the order in early January * Did you order directly from the company, or through a distributor or dealer? From BBB * How was the communication? Not so great not horrible * How easy was it to pay? very, paypal * How long did it take to ship? very long. arrived today but I expected a delay due to change in order. Still more than 2 months since change. * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? yes * Did the item look like the sales pictures? yes * Were you satisfied with the product? Yes for Mei but not the boots. They were not the boots I ordered and the boots they shipped were white with very dark smugges on each. Unsellable. If they had sent the wrong boots in good condition they I could have sold them and would not be annoyed. Also shipping was awful! They folded her in half to stuff her into a tiny size box. I understand that they need to customs to look at the box but if they had damaged the doll...... * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? Don't care a huge amount now. I will order through DDE next time. * Would you order from this company again? As above * Would you buy this company's products second-hand? yes
* What did you order? NS Bobobie Mei, Black Boots and Dress#2 (Lolita style) * When did you order? First week of Febreuary * Did you order directly from the company, or through a distributor or dealer? I ordered directly from Bobobie. * How was the communication? The communication was fair. They answered all of my questions within three days and answered them kindly. They did falsely say they would send her a few times, but I suppose I don't really know what goes on over there... * How easy was it to pay? Extremely. ^_^ * How long did it take to ship? ... Two months. I got her the last week of March. It was a brutal wait and I was repeatedly told "we will send her next week" or "In a few days" for a few weeks. * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? The quality was good for the price. They even gave me kitty shoes. The dress was a bit big but it was made for a Bobobie body not a thin resinsoul one. The boots are also a bit big, but they seem okay on her. I'm a bit disappointed in her sitting ability, but I knew that before she came. Her right leg annoys me a bit, something about proportion, but she stands wonderfully. She stood for me on the first try, which means they strung her well. She can go on her knees and even sit normally if she leans against something like a wall or pillow. * Did the item look like the sales pictures? The picture on the site did not do Mei justice. She looks ghostly beautiful in that picture, I admit, but in real life she is the most darling and beautiful thing in the world! Mesmerizing... I find myself just going over her face. It's splendiferous! * Were you satisfied with the product? I am quite satisfied, she's quite the exceptional doll. I would recommend these dolls to anyone, they are gorgeous and I believe we should see more of them! Really, everything was good except for these things: They gave me the wrong color eyes; I specifically asked for Green Acrylic eyes and the sent me brown. Since it was suppose to be random and free anyways, I suppose it doesn't matter as much as if I had paid for them. Her knees do bother me. She stands perfectly, poses wonderfully, looks gorgeous, but her legs seem strange and I just can't put my finger on it... It took so long for her to be made. I don't mind the waiting but they kept saying they'd send her when they didn't... * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? The eye color I'm not bothering to deal with, I'll just buy new, better eyes. I was planning to anyways. Her knees don't affect the quality of posing in the doll, so I don't really think it's worth while. Now that she's here, the months seemed to fly by quickly and it gave me something to look forward to... * Would you order from this company again? Definitely! But I only planned to buy Mei and that was it. * Would you buy this company's products second-hand? Absolutely! I'd buy the product second-hand. These dolls are quite affordable and I've heard of a person buying a Sprite for $9... Lol.
* What did you order? BBB sprite ns. for my daughter. * When did you order? 11-4-2008 * Did you order directly from the company, or through a distributor or dealer? directly. * How was the communication? good they answered my mails quickly. * How easy was it to pay? easy, i payed by banktransfer. * How long did it take to ship? she arrived 12-13-08 * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? oke accept for the badstringing * Did the item look like the sales pictures? i think it looked oke. * Were you satisfied with the product? my daughter was very content with her. * Would you order from this company again? yes * Would you buy this company's products second-hand? maybe
* What did you order? Sprite * When did you order? 02.04.09 * Did you order directly from the company, or through a distributor or dealer? From Company * How was the communication? Good * How easy was it to pay? Easy * How long did it take to ship? 40 days * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? yes * Did the item look like the sales pictures? yes * Were you satisfied with the product? yes * Would you order from this company again? No-way!, She was posted folded in a half in a box, in a half of box!!!!!!! * Would you buy this company's products second-hand? Yes __________________
What did you order? Sprite (Lilac) When did you order? May 9th. Did you order directly from the company, or through a distributor or dealer? Through a distributor (the doll was in stock and ready to ship). How was the communication? Not necessary really ... How easy was it to pay? Simple and straightforward paypal checkout. How long did it take to ship? Shipped the next business day. Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Definitely! She is not as nice or detailed as say a Volks or DOD doll, but she's 1/3 to 1/4 the price. Did the item look like the sales pictures? More or less. The skin color is called "lilac" but the pictures looked really gray, so I wasn't sure what to expect. She is in fact a dusky purple, not gray. Were you satisfied with the product? Yep! She's great. My only complaint is that her knees and elbows are extremely pointy when bent, clearly showing even through clothing, and the three-part torso makes her kind of floppy. But she was cheap so If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? N/A Would you order from this company again? Yeah, if I need another elf-like character... Would you buy this company's products second-hand? Probably not. Going through the distributor worked well and was hassle free (the doll arrived in less than a week from sending the payment) so there is no incentive to risk a possibly damaged product...
* What did you order? Bobobie Tiny Moony * When did you order? April 25th 2009 * Did you order directly from the company, or through a distributor or dealer? Direct from Bobobie * How was the communication? Very good, my questions were always answered within a matter of days. * How easy was it to pay? You can use paypal and order the moment you've decided which baby you want and what color/with or without makeup. * How long did it take to ship? She arrived June 3rd 2009. It took about 5 and a half weeks. * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Her quality is amazing. Her face is very detailed and photogenic, she doesn't even look like a tiny doll. Her poseability is also amazing, they sent her strung just right. * Did the item look like the sales pictures? They changed her face-up a bit, I'll post pictures of the difference. * Were you satisfied with the product? I am. I was a bit confused by the change in makeup, and also how she arrived. She was in her sleeping bag and bobobie box, but there was no outer protection. She was just in a bag. Also she had a huge dent in her box, but she was not damaged by it. * Would you order from this company again? Yes, but I would probably complain about Moony's packaging and demand my next doll have more protection, and fewer dents in the box... Also I would enquire if the face-up would match the website photos. * Would you buy this company's products second-hand? They seem like they would survive some punishment but I suppose it depends on who I'm buying from. Original website photo: Her actual faceup (she's on the left): Just the eyebrows are different, really. Her box damage (the box was taped shut originally, this photo is for dramatic purposes but that is the actual dent in the side.):
What did you order? A normal skin Mei When did you order? 5-31-08 Did you order directly from the company, or through a distributor or dealer? Through a dealer-JunkySpot How was the communication? There wasn't really any beyond getting the email receipt from the company, which I got quickly (like within a matter of minutes) and the shipping notice (also received within a matter of minutes). How easy was it to pay? As easy as it always is to pay via paypal. How long did it take to ship? I got the shipping notice within minutes of ordering, the first update to the tracking was the next day, and I got the doll today. Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Very much so. I'm quite happy with the doll. Did the item look like the sales pictures? With the exception of the sales photos being of a white skinned doll, and my ordering a normal skinned doll. But that's not the fault of the company. Were you satisfied with the product? Yes. If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? This was not an issue. Would you order from this company again? If they came out with another mold I like, certainly. Would you buy this company's products second-hand? Yes.
* What did you order? A NS Mei and the #6 MSD boots. * When did you order? The 29th of June. She shipped on the 3rd and arrived on the 7th of August. * Did you order directly from the company, or through a distributor or dealer? Directly from Bobobie. * How was the communication? Quite good. I only asked one question on the forum and they replied to me pretty quickly. They accidentally forgot the boots I ordered but did include a cute pair of kitty shoes, so when I asked if there'd been a mix up Dennis responded quickly to clarify that the kitty shoes were a gift (!), they were sorry for forgetting the boots, that they'd send me a free pair if I order another doll and also that they'd refunded me for them. Definitely no complaints. ^^ * How easy was it to pay? Easy as pie. Credit card via Paypal. * How long did it take to ship? About a month. * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Absolutely. Her resin is smooth and seamless and she has beautiful little details. * Did the item look like the sales pictures? She's far, far prettier than the sales pictures. Her hands in particular are lovely, which you can't see in the headshot that's up presently. I hope they have time to put up some newer photos that do their dolls justice one day. * Were you satisfied with the product? Definitely. She's strung too loosely to stand and I'm too much of a newbie to do anything about it yet, but I'd rather she be a bit floppy than have arrived damaged. ^^ * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? - * Would you order from this company again? Absolutely! * Would you buy this company's products second-hand? They're inexpensive enough that I'd probably just buy directly from Bobobie again.
* What did you order? NS Mature Sprite w/faceup * When did you order? May 2009 * Did you order directly from the company, or through a distributor or dealer? Through a dealer; Junkyspot * How was the communication? Efficient. Shipping notification and tracking number were sent immediately. * How easy was it to pay? Paid through PayPal, so very easy. * How long did it take to ship? The doll shipped w/in 5 days of payment, took about another week and a half to arrive. * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Yes. I have seen more expensive dolls that, IMO, aren't as attractive. She didn't pose or stand out of the box, but that is easily fixed. * Did the item look like the sales pictures? Yes, although the Bobobie website has very poor pictures of their dolls; I got far more information from the photos that Junkyspot took than the "official" ones from Bobobie. * Were you satisfied with the product? Overall, yes. I immediately re-strung and hot glue sueded her, which took care of her standing / posing problems. (I didn't have to replace her string, just tightened it a LOT.) The Sprite has a very attractive and delicate facial sculpt, which was my primary reason for purchase. She has a problem with her belly popping out. Hot glue seemed to have fixed that alright. My biggest complaint are her wrist joints / hands. Her hands seem a little unnaturally posed, but delicately formed. However, she has a very limited range of movement in her wrists! Why make such gentle hands and then prevent her from using them?? * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? n/a * Would you order from this company again? Yes. Especially if they fix the wrists and tummy pop! * Would you buy this company's products second-hand? Sure, if the price was right.
* What did you order? NS blank Isabella. * When did you order? 23/7/09 * Did you order directly from the company, or through a distributor or dealer? Directly. * How was the communication? All questions on the forum were answered within a day or two. * How easy was it to pay? Paypal. * How long did it take to ship? Over two months, which disappointed me a bit, as my other BBB/RS dolls were very fast. But she came with a free wig as an apology. I wasn't very happy that they marked down the box without telling me, because last time they hadn't done it, so I didn't think to ask them to mark her full price. * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? The quality is amazing for the price ($88 + shipping!). Her sculpt is adorable, her body is cute, I love BBB/RS resin - so smooth and touchable, and the seams sanded into invisibility - and she is so stable, right out of the box. I just plonk her down and she stands firmly without any adjustment or tinkering. I love her. * Did the item look like the sales pictures? There's no comparison - and I mean it in the good way. She's a thousand times cuter and prettier than on the sales pictures. It was owner pics that sold me on her, not site advertising. * Were you satisfied with the product? YES. * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? n/a * Would you order from this company again? I'm already plotting a sister.
I didn't see a new thread for 2010, so if this needs to be moved to a new thread, feel free to do so. * What did you order? Charisma, normal head, girl body with standard face up * When did you order? December 1st * Did you order directly from the company, or through a distributor or dealer? From BBB's site; from Dennis * How was the communication? Went very well. Dennis replied to my questions swiftly. * How easy was it to pay? Easy with Paypal. * How long did it take to ship? The order (my Charisma and a Rachel for a friend) was shipped just before newyear and arrived at destination the next monday (shipping by DHL rules). * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Absolutely! * Did the item look like the sales pictures? Much better. Like the demon version, she has the same grin which isn't much apparent in the picture in the doll mall, but it makes her very special * Were you satisfied with the product? Yes completely! * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? n/a * Would you order from this company again? definitely will if I desire to do so. * Would you buy this company's products second-hand? Yes I might
* What did you order? Normal skin demon Charisma. * When did you order? 12th Dec 2009 * Did you order directly from the company, or through a distributor or dealer? From the company website. * How was the communication? Awesome! I asked for red eyes in my Charisma, but they didn't have any in stock. Blue eyes were my second choice, and they let me know they would ship her with those eyes. * How easy was it to pay? Super easy, thanks to Paypal. * How long did it take to ship? She shipped on Thursday, January the 14th and arrived in Canada the next day! * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? For sure! * Did the item look like the sales pictures? Yes. Actually, she looks a million times better (no, seriously). * Were you satisfied with the product? Very! Body sculpt could be a bit more detailed, but for the price they charge it's wonderful. * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? N/A * Would you order from this company again? For sure! I have my eyes on a Mei * Would you buy this company's products second-hand? Perhaps, although I don't see the need because their prices and service are excellent.

Yes. * Were you satisfied with the product? Yes. Considering the lower price, she is value for money. * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? N/A * Would you order from this company again? Absolutely ! -And I would definitely order more if delivery was quicker. * Would you buy this company's products second-hand? Yes ! 0In fact I am looking for a 2nd hand Pandora right now !
What did you order? Bobobie Elena When did you order? Thanksgiving 2009 Did you order directly from the company, or through a distributor or dealer? Directly from BBB How was the communication? They answered my email right away when I asked when she’d ship How easy was it to pay? VERY easy How long did it take to ship? The shipping itself didn’t take very long—once they completed the doll, it only took maybe a week to ship. They had to produce the doll which took about 1 ½ months Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? EVEN BETTER THAN I COULD HAVE IMAGINED!! Did the item look like the sales pictures? MUCH better than the sales pictures Were you satisfied with the product? Absolutely! I’ve been collecting dolls for years (all kinds) and this is my favourite doll EVER. If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? No problems Would you order from this company again? DEFINITELY I will! Would you buy this company's products second-hand? That depends….a lot of people customize their dolls & I love how they come naturally from BBB…so I’d have to undo anything someone else did to them to make them how I’d like them. There is “SOMETHING” about having a doll that is made “just for you” and nobody else has owned it.
* What did you order? Blue Ai * When did you order? End of January * Did you order directly from the company, or through a distributor or dealer? Directly from Company * How was the communication? Excellent... considering I put the doll into layaway. * How easy was it to pay? Easy... paypal is F,S,Q,E .... fast, simple, quick and easy * How long did it take to ship? Well considering it was a layaway... about 8 weeks * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Oh yes... she is stunning. * Did the item look like the sales pictures? Oh no... so much better in "real life". Pix just do not do her justice. * Were you satisfied with the product? Absolutely... she is gorgeous, a delicate pale blue color. Even the eyes and eyebrows were done just like we asked, as if 1 of their artists went to the Website and looked at the concept pix of the figure. Soooo perfectly done. * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? N/A * Would you order from this company again? Totally would. * Would you buy this company's products second-hand? Already have, a few years back... my Apollo, Liam. But if you do buy 2nd hand you miss all the goodies that DENNIS sends with your order.
Ordered normal skin Charisma on a RS body, 21 Feb 2010. She arrived 08 April 2010. Direct from Bobobie. Shipping was super fast - I got the "she's shipped!" notice the same day she arrived - I was very surprised. Communication was great - Dennis is great at customer service. Paying was super easy. Quality is definitely appropriate for the price - I have some quibbles with some of the details of the jointing system and some of the drilling is a little rough, but she is beautiful and her resin feels so smooth... I can't stop touching her. She came with a free set of eyes, a cute little human-sized bracelet, and a free faceup (though it will be removed - too dark). I think I would be a bit annoyed with some of the imperfections and difficulties posing her if she were a $700 doll, but for $200, I'm happy. She looks -way- better than the sales pictures. I would definitely order from them again - but I would make sure to ask them to -not- mark down the doll for customs. She was shipped as a "sample of resin doll" and "no commercial value" and marked at $40. I didn't ask them to do this and I'm a bit miffed that they did, in case something happened to her in transit or she got stuck in customs for being mismarked. I don't know if I'd buy second hand simply because I don't think it's necessary with this company - the dolls are inexpensive and the service is excellent.
* What did you order? Human Charisma NS * When did you order? February 8th * Did you order directly from the company, or through a distributor or dealer? From the company * How was the communication? It was good, I got a fast reply on their Q&A-board and a shipping notice when she was shipped * How easy was it to pay? Very easy with Paypal * How long did it take to ship? Almost two months til she was ready and then 3 days from Hong Kong to Germany * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Yes. Her stringing was horribly loose and the face up has some flaws, but for the price it´s a very nice doll. * Did the item look like the sales pictures? Yes * Were you satisfied with the product? Except the loose stringing and the bad packaging (box was nearly in pieces and only protected by a bit plastic), yes * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? N/A * Would you order from this company again? Only if I really really want something * Would you buy this company's products second-hand? If quality and price are right, yes
* What did you order? Bobobie Sprite * When did you order? 21 February * Did you order directly from the company, or through a distributor or dealer? From the company * How was the communication? Alright, a few days wait for a reply to an email * How easy was it to pay? pretty easy * How long did it take to ship? They didn't ship till April 3 and 10 days wait, arrived on the 13th April * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? yes, she's lovely * Did the item look like the sales pictures? yes, in fact a bit better * Were you satisfied with the product? very * Would you order from this company again? yes, I'm planning on getting an elfkin or two * Would you buy this company's products second-hand? If they were in good condition
* What did you order? Pixie natural skin and Espree white skin * When did you order? Dec 25, 2009 * Did you order directly from the company, or through a distributor or dealer? Directly from Bobobie * How was the communication? Initially very good. See below. * How easy was it to pay? Easy. * How long did it take to ship? Approx 1 month for the original package with an incorrect doll in it. The package arrived at the end of the first week of Feb. The replacement correct doll still hasn't arrived and it's been 3 months. * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? I have many Bobobie's so I am comfortable with their price v. quality issues. I also have other bjds that cost much more and are worth much more. * Did the item look like the sales pictures? Yes * Were you satisfied with the product? They shipped the wrong doll (for one of them) * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? They haven't yet, which is why I'm leaving this feedback. They screwed up the order and shipped Espree in natural skin, and I specifically need the immature white skin body for another doll. I notified them immediately and Dennis said they would fix the problem and here I am two months later and still waiting. I have emailed Dennis regularly - in mid-March he said I might have my doll by the end of the month. It's now the end of April and I still don't have the doll. I am highly highly pissed. All of you who have ordered after I reported the problem have your dolls and they still haven't fixed my order. * Would you order from this company again? I'm not sure anymore. * Would you buy this company's products second-hand? They're sufficiently affordable that I don't have to, but if there was one I wanted that was no longer being made, I would.
* What did you order? BBB Apollo White Skin * When did you order? June 15th 2010 * Did you order directly from the company, or through a distributor or dealer? Directly from Bobobie * How was the communication? Excellent. * How easy was it to pay? Super easy. * How long did it take to ship? About a month, which was their estimated time. * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Yes it was absolutely perfect. * Did the item look like the sales pictures? MUCH better! I usually look for BBB pictures around the DoA forums because the company photos aren't very good. * Were you satisfied with the product? Wonderfully. Not only was he perfect, but he came with a free pair of eyes that weren't even mentioned! Surprise! Not only that, but the doll's right hand was in a different position then his left, which really made me excited and fit the character set in mind for him. * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? N/A * Would you order from this company again? Absolutely. This has been my best experience with a company so far. * Would you buy this company's products second-hand? I actually bought them second hand first and I would do it again.
* What did you order? BBB 43cm lilac Ariel on a boy body (blank). * When did you order? June 15, 2010 * Did you order directly from the company, or through a distributor or dealer? Direct (via Dennis) * How was the communication? Fantastic! Out of the six companies I've ordered from thus far, BBB provided me with the best customer service I've experienced to date. * How easy was it to pay? Very easy. I requested a quick layaway (less than a month) - paid via PayPal. * How long did it take to ship? Let's see... 1 month and 5 days. AKA: 35 days. * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? VERY much so! * Did the item look like the sales pictures? 10,000x better. Seriously. * Were you satisfied with the product? Completely. I'm over the moon! * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? N/A * Would you order from this company again? Without hesitation. * Would you buy this company's products second-hand? Maybe. Generally I prefer new, though.
* What did you order? Blue Bobobie Ariel with faceup * When did you order? May 26th 2010 * Did you order directly from the company, or through a distributor or dealer? from the company * How was the communication? very reasonable * How easy was it to pay? extremely * How long did it take to ship? it's hard to say because I didn't know that they had shipped her until she was at my door * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? she was much nicer then I thought she would have been considering how reasonably priced bobobie's dolls are * Did the item look like the sales pictures? no She was a million times nicer! * Were you satisfied with the product? very! * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? N/A * Would you order from this company again? sure! * Would you buy this company's products second-hand? yeah sure
UPDATE - It took them four and a half months to ship the correct doll. Lots of people ordered dolls from them during this period and received them within a month or two. FOUR AND A HALF MONTHS to ship the doll I ordered in the first place instead of the wrong one.
I didn't see a new thread for 2011, so if this needs to be moved to a new thread, feel free to do so. * What did you order? Weylin with standard body, no face up * When did you order? December 23rd * Did you order directly from the company, or through a distributor or dealer? From BBB's site; from Dennis * How was the communication? Went very well. He contacted me about shipping details within a week. * How easy was it to pay? Easy with Paypal. * How long did it take to ship? The order was shipped on tuesday, arrived friday the same week. (YAY for DHL) * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Absolutely! * Did the item look like the sales pictures? Much better. He has a very lovely face which doesn't really come out in the company picture. * Were you satisfied with the product? Yes completely! * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? n/a * Would you order from this company again? definitely will if I desire to do so. * Would you buy this company's products second-hand? Yes I might
* What did you order? Lt. Tan Ariel with Male Body * When did you order? September 2010 * Did you order directly from the company, or through a distributor or dealer? JunkySpot * How was the communication? Did not communicate with BBB * How easy was it to pay? Did not pay through BBB * How long did it take to ship? Long Story about that(will provide at end) * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Of course. I enjoy BBB's works especially since their tanned resin is all the way though instead of 'plated'. * Did the item look like the sales pictures? Far better. I don't hold to much faith in BBB company pictures. * Were you satisfied with the product? Yes and no. I custom ordered my Ariel through Junkyspot because I wanted Ariel with a male body. The custom order was to keep batches together and not separate any of his current dolls from their bodies. However, BBB never delivered and by January we decided that he wasn't going to come in. Emory (JunkySpot owner) did a head switch for me with his current stock and sent out my doll. Resin match was nearly spot on. * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? Bobobie wasn't involved * Would you order from this company again? I would not custom order from them again most likely (but didn't plan on it either). * Would you buy this company's products second-hand? Most definitely.
* Ordered Through? Direct from BBB's BJDollMall * What did you order? BBB Ariel with a RS Rong body. * When did you order? Jan 7, 2011 * How was the communication? Excellent. I made a special order, and Dennis got it right, and answered questions whenever I had them. * How easy was it to pay? Very easy. * How long did it take to ship? About five-six weeks, though there was Lunar New Year in the middle of it. xD * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Yes. ^^ * Did the item look like the sales pictures? Yep. * Were you satisfied with the product? Yep! Very happy they got my order right even though it was a special request.
* What did you order? March-Light Tan * When did you order? 4/16/2011 * Did you order directly from the company, or through a distributor or dealer? I bought her at Denver Doll Emporium's store. * How was the communication? Not necessary as I bought her at the store the same day I discovered her. * How easy was it to pay? Cash at the store, so... * How long did it take to ship? Again, at a store... * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? I love her. I would have to say yes. * Did the item look like the sales pictures? I hadn't seen the sale pictures, but looking back I think she looks much better. * Were you satisfied with the product? Very. My only problems are her loose stringing/jerkiness, which I know I can fix easily, and her hands not quite fitting in some of the clothing I've wanted her to wear. I'll mod her w/ s-hooks over the summer, though, so no problems really there either. Overall, I LOVE her. * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? I was. * Would you order from this company again? Probably. I'm not sure whether I would direct or through DDE, after hearing many mixed things about ordering direct. But I have my eye on Mei... * Would you buy this company's products second-hand? Possibly, if they were in good shape and the price was right.
* Ordered Through? Bobobie Doll Mall * What did you order? White Skin Bei hands and feet * When did you order? May 26th , 2011 * How was the communication? They answered my e-mails promptly and they got my order right. * How easy was it to pay? They sent an invoice and I payed using paypal. So very easy. * How long did it take to ship? So the order was placed on May 26, About a month after that (June 23) I sent and e-mail asking how where things going and they told me they would ship my things early the next week. The next week came and left and I had yet to receive any shipping info. SO I sent another e-mail asking again about how things where going (on July 7th) This time they responded me by giving me my tracking number and telling me things had been shipped the day before. So it took about 6 weeks to ship and 7 weeks in total to get to me. * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? I only paid $20 for hands and feet plus the $10 for the shipping ($30 in total for everything), and the hands and feet are lovely and delicate so I do think the price was worth it. * Did the item look like the sales pictures? There was no sales picture since it was a special request, but they did look like the hands and feet of my current Bei so I will answer with: they did look as I expected them to. * Were you satisfied with the product? I was satisfied with the product. A little worried about the shipping, laughing at the ridiculous amount of stamps they used to mail the box and a bit panicked when I moved the box and felt the things moving inside. I found the packaging was done quite badly since the hands and feet where all inside a little plastic bag surrounded with a bit of styrofoam that did nothing to maintain them "safe" from shifting and movement. But at the end of the day everything was safe, pretty and definately what I wanted. * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? My insatisfaction was with their packaging so it is kinda pointless, they can't really do anything now. * Would you order from this company again? I'm thinking about it. There are a few sculpts I wouldn't mind ordering. * Would you buy this company's products second-hand? Definitively. Since I already have. ^^
* What did you order? Lucky in Light Tan * When did you order? August 24 * How was the communication? Helpful and efficient. I got tracking number as soon as it was shipped. * How easy was it to pay? Very easy. The only hassle was Paypal's fault. * How long did it take to ship? Aug 24-Oct 19. Pretty reasonable. * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? The pricing is perfect! The resin is so soft and the sculpts are lovely. * Did the item look like the sales pictures? It looks even better in person. The sales pictures aren't too good. * Were you satisfied with the product? Yes! I love everything about it! Even down to the loose stringing that Bobobie is notorious for. AND, I even recieved a little bonus gift; a cute pair of shoes for my new girl. So that was nice. * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? I was satisfied. * Would you order from this company again? Probably not, only because there's no other sculpts I want. Maybe if in the future they release more tinies. * Would you buy this company's products second-hand? I don't really like second-hand, but I don't see why not.
* What did you order? BBB Apollo in NS w/ default faceup * When did you order? February 2, 2012 * Did you order directly from the company, or through a distributor or dealer? Bobobie site * How was the communication? somewhat slow. I never received a reply for my first email. But then towards when my doll was shipped, communication was more fluid. Posting on the Q&A on the BBB site is faster. * How easy was it to pay? paypal * How long did it take to ship? shipped on March 19th, arrived March 20th through DHL express * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? yes * Did the item look like the sales pictures? I wish they had more sales pictures but yes * Were you satisfied with the product? yes * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? N/A * Would you order from this company again? I don't know...organization could use some work. Same day that my doll arrived, I received an email from BBB with another tracking number but obviously not my order (I already received my tracking number and my doll was already labeled out for delivery)? Also that I should contact fedex cause there was something wrong with my address. I feel bad for whoever is not getting their doll...? * Would you buy this company's products second-hand? sure
What did you order? RS Mu WS No Faceup When did you order? 21st October 2012 Did you order directly from the company, or through a distributor or dealer? Directly from Bobobie How was the communication? Great, Dennis was very helpful and prompt in replying to emails. How easy was it to pay? Super easy, Paypal How long did it take to ship? Shipped on 26th of November 2012. So just over a month. Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Yes, Definitely. Did the item look like the sales pictures? Yes, Mu had quite extensive sales pictures compared with many of the other dolls. Were you satisfied with the product? Most definitely. Posing was a bit of a nightmare at first (The fact this is my first BJD didn't help), but I knew this so I had new elastic and some silicone rings which made the arms fantastic. His legs have a really nice locking system for straight and bent positions. The only ongoing issue is his torso is a little floppy and his midsection likes to pop out when I'm posing him, currently investigating options to fix this (Looser string? Tighter string? Resorting to super gluing the midsection to the hip piece?). Other than that he's been great, I don't even need a wig cap for him as the horn magnets hold the wig on. Would you order from this company again? Yes, in fact I have placed a second order for a WS Yao with Mei head for my partner, who wasn't all that interested in BJDs until Mu arrived. Would you buy this company's products second-hand? Yes I would consider it, although I would rather order through the company.
*Ordered Through? Directly through Bobobie Site *What did you order? Dark Tan Bobobie 60cm male body with 70cm ResinSoul hands and Dong head *When did you order? March 2013 (layaway paid off March 21, they said they'd start making him when I first ordered March 14) *How was the communication? Before I paid, it took less than 2 days. Took 2-3 weeks between most responses after I paid and when I received a damaged doll. *How easy was it to pay? Confusing at first because I had a special order, but after asking what to do, it was very easy to just send the money through paypal *How long did it take to ship? About a month, I assume. I never received a tracking number, the doll just showed up, so I don't know how long he was in transit. *Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Not at all! My doll arrived poorly packaged, with a broken headcap and missing finger. The finger was not in the box, meaning it was shipped damaged. The posing was poor, but I expected that. He was better after being restrung and sueded, but I have owned cheaper dolls that posed better than him. The resin color was very nice, however, and he had no seams. *Did the item look like the sales pictures? No. The body and hands did, but the head didn't look like pictures, his nose looks much pointier in real life. *Were you satisfied with the product? Not at all, and I sold him at a loss within a month of receiving him. * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? I emailed them the day he arrived. I got no response, so two weeks later, I filed a paypal claim for a partial refund. It took another 4 days before they replied and asked me to cancel the claim and they would send a new headcap within one week. I waited over 2 months from the date I received the doll to get the new headcap. They promised a wig, then a free gift to make up for the damage, but neither was included when I opened the box. I consider it STILL unresolved, but I've dropped it because I'm tired of dealing with it. * Would you order from this company again? NEVER. The packaging was poor, the doll was damaged, the customer service was horrendous, as well as the fact that I was told over and over the replacement piece would be shipped "in one week" for 2 months. * Would you buy this company's products second-hand? no. This incident has ruined any chance of me wanting another Bobobie, I'm sorry to say.
*Ordered Through? Junkyspot *What did you order? 60 cm Apollo in NS *When did you order? February *How was the communication? It was great! Very easy and painless. *How easy was it to pay? Super easy with Paypal. *How long did it take to ship? The doll shipped the next day, since Junkyspot is a US based dealer, and I got him about a week later with tracking and everything. *Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? I love my Apollo however I had to restring him within the first hour of opening the box. He was so loose but I think he was well worth it. I love his sculpt in general. *Did the item look like the sales pictures? No! The website did him no justice! He looks MUCH better in person! *Were you satisfied with the product? Oh yes. * Would you order from this company again? I already have... * Would you buy this company's products second-hand? It depends on what condition the doll is in.
Ordered through? Directly from Bobobie What did you order? Tiny Chocolate in Dark Tan with factory face up When did you order? December 11, 2013 How was the communication? Good at first. Since it was a special color I emailed to see if it was possible to order. Dennis emailed back within a day with price, and sent an invoice right away when I said I would like to order. After that, though, none of my email was answered. I was sent an email and tracking number when the order was ready. How easy was it to pay? Easy - invoice through paypal. How long did it take to ship? Almost three months. Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Yes. I think their tiny dolls are very much worth the price, and their face ups are very nice for the price. Did the item look like the sales pictures? Yes. The dark tan looks a little darker in the picture, but I am fine with it. Were you satisfied with the product? 100% and I received a gift wig. Would you order from this company again? Probably, now that I know what to expect. I just need to be patient and not expect updates.
* Ordered Through? Direct from Bobobie * What did you order? BBB Sprite head on RS Wu body (green resin) * When did you order? 15 December 2013 * How was the communication? Communication from this company is absolutely horrible. I first contacted Bobobie about ordering this doll in November 2013. I posted a couple of questions on Bobobie's Q&A on their web site, but received no reply from Bobobie on my questions (although some other members replied to it). Incidentally, it appears that Bobobie has not replied to any questions on their Q&A since November 2013...well over 5 months ago. On 21 November 2013, I emailed Bobobie about ordering this doll. I did not receive a reply to my email until 2 December 2013, eleven days later. All they could offer me was "sorry for the late reply." I placed my order and I noticed that Bobobie was extremely prompt in telling me that they had my money. In their confirmation email, they advised me that I could "reply to this email if you have any questions" regarding my order. On 22 January 2014, I wrote to Bobobie with a question about my order. I received no reply. In fact, I wrote to them four times between 22 January and 9 February with the same question. I didn't receive a reply to any of these emails. I hope all of you can appreciate how frustrated and anxious this was making me. I had no idea why they were so slow in responding to all my emails dating back to November and why they hadn't replied to the January-February batch. It was making me a little crazy that I'd given money to these people and they'd gone silent with no explanation. On 11 February 2014, in utter and total frustration, I wrote an email detailing my dissatisfaction with the way they handle communications from customers. I made sure to tell them that I was not complaining about the wait time; I understand there is always a wait time, and with the Lunar New Year holiday I expected the wait to be longer. The problem was, I had asked a very simple question and did not understand why they had not responded at all, even prior to the Lunar New Year Holiday. I also stated that I did not understand why it had taken them so long to reply to me back in November and why they never answer their Q&A. I suggested that I would like to file a PayPal claim on the transaction, but that the limitation period had unfortunately run out, so I said that I would consider other means of recourse if they did not reply. Not surprisingly, the next day I did receive a reply. Again I was told "Sorry for late reply" and they advised me that they had not replied before because they were "out of the office." They suggested my order might be shipped in 10 days. Now, before anyone assumes I'm a touchy and completely unreasonable person, let me just say that I fully appreciate the fact of the Lunar New Year holiday happening around that time. It was entirely believable that they were out of the office. My problem wasn't the fact that they were away. My problem was with the fact that nobody knew how long they were supposed to be away and nobody was notified that emails would not be answered. In my experience, most companies will post a notice saying when their holidays are and giving customers an idea of what to expect in terms of communication during holidays. I am not an unreasonable person. I don't expect replies to my emails within the hour and I don't expect people not to take holidays. What I expect from a business who takes my money is that they will respond to my emails in a timely manner (2-3 days) and, if they can't, they'll give their customers some indication as to why they can't. To me, that's just professional and courteous. I contacted the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre ("CAFC") for some advice only regarding this situation. The agent I spoke to at CAFC was very helpful and advised that I should email Bobobie on the 10th day and remind them that they said they'd ship my order by then. On 24 February 2014, which was actually the 12th day instead of the 10th day, I emailed Bobobie for a status update. The reply I received was "sorry for the delay." My package was finally shipped via EMS on 26 February 2014. I received it on 8 March 2014. In Bobobie's shipping notice email, they asked me to notify them if there were any problems. Well, the problems I discovered when my doll arrived were that the packaging was extremely poor; just the doll box wrapped in plastic and no bubble wrap or padding inside the box except the little "mittens" over the doll's hands and the ubiquitous Bobobie "sleeping bag". The box was mangled on one end and I was quite frankly surprised that my doll was not severely damaged. My doll was, however, strung incorrectly. His left knee and lower leg were strung onto his right thigh and vice-versa. This rendered him totally incapable of standing on his own, and I now have to disassemble and restring him. His torso joint is an extremely poor fit with the hip piece. I reported these issues to Bobobie and included pictures but, predictably, I have received no reply. I can restring this doll myself and I advised them that I didn't expect them to do anything except be mindful of quality control like this in future. * How easy was it to pay? Easy via PayPal * How long did it take to ship? I received it on 8 March 2014. * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? No * Did the item look like the sales pictures? It looked better in person, but that's not saying much considering this site's sales photos are quite poor. * Were you satisfied with the product? Yes and no. I'm happy with the doll itself, but I'm not happy with the state in which he arrived and I'm not happy that I have to restring him just so he can stand up. * Would you order from this company again? No. Never again.
* What did you order? Girl Ai, White skin, with Face-up. * When did you order? March 14th, 2014. * How was the communication? It's very difficult to receive a reply for any email inquiry. I did send three emails asking about how long does it usually take for them to make the doll because it was not listed on their website. They did reply on my third email and advised of an approximate shipping date for my order. As advised my order was shipped exactly when they said so. So at least I'm pretty satisfied with that. Though I can't imagine how horrible it must be when you need to contact them regarding issues with one's doll (arriving damaged or with some other problem). So at least they do need to work on their communication response timing. * How easy was it to pay? Very easy, through Paypal. * How long did it take to ship? It took a month and two weeks to ship. My doll shipped on Friday, May 2nd, 2014 and arrived on Monday, May 5th, 2014. Though some people should take note that they should keep track of their order through their website as they might not send you a shipping notice email. I knew that my doll shipped because I logged in to verify my order status. Had I not done so I would've never known that my doll shipped in the first place. * Were there any missing or broken items in your order? No, nothing was missing. They actually added a wig (which I was not expecting). * If there were any problems with your order, how did the company handle them? No problems at all. * Would you order from this company again? Yes, I certainly will.
I haven't made an order through Bobobie, but I have tried contacting them through email, three times now. I'm very frustrated that they have not responded, even though the first email was back in February. I didn't even remember sending it until I searched through my email to see if I had missed a response. The second email was sent a few days ago, as was the third. I love these dolls, but I have been very upset with my lack of communication and I don't know if I want to order from them now. I'm not sure if this is the place to put this because I haven't ordered, but I hope so.
* What did you order? SONG an PI * When did you order? Around may 2014 * How was the communication? Before paying Dennis answered very quickly. After that I didn't hear from him for a month and then I send him a message as the approx waiting time was one month. It took me over a week to get an answer and I was really worried. I have to say that he had very bad communication. I asked for EMS shipping and got yes as answer but it came via DHL. * How easy was it to pay? It was easy but I had some problems making the order as their webpage had some problems. So in the end I made my order via email as Dennis contacted me saying that he had lost all the order details. * How long did it take to ship? A little over a month. * Were there any missing or broken items in your order? Yes. Song's eyes hadn't been seemed and posing is really bad. Also as bobobie has such a poorly images and info about the body I was surprised to se already glued in magnet in Pi's body. Also the magnets for the wings are very "weak" and can't hold the wings trough fabric. Also the tail is too long and PI can't stand while wearing it. * If there were any problems with your order, how did the company handle them? I haven't gotten any reply from Dennis and I don't even bother anymore because he clearly doesn't want to answer. * Would you order from this company again? Not sure, probably not.
* What did you order? 1X Normal Skin 70cm Long with faceup 1X Dark Chocolate tan 70cm Long with faceup Charisma grasping hands in Light Tan * When did you order? The end of March? * Did you order directly from the company, or through a distributor or dealer? From the company's doll mall website, but I was having issues as I had a discount code, so eventually I ended up just e-mailing what I wanted to Dennis and he sent me an invoice. * How was the communication? Excellent, Dennis responded within a few days every time, and though I was paying my order off over a few months Dennis even e-mailed me to let me know that my order was finished and ready to ship after my payments were finished. * How easy was it to pay? Very easy, I divided up the total into four equal parts, and paid monthly through Paypal. * How long did it take to ship? After my final payment the dolls arrived within about two weeks. Very quick. * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Yes very much so, all seams have been beautifully sanded, unlike many of the more expensive company's dolls I've bought, and the price of the faceups is ridiculously cheap for the lovely faceups they do. $10 for a great faceup compared to $60 for a similar thing from many other companies is just great value whatever way you look at it. * Did the item look like the sales pictures? Yes but as always they actually look much better than the very basic sales pictures. Also the company faceups are beautifully done very sympathetic and natural. * Were you satisfied with the product? For the most part, though the Chocolate Tan Long had one of the tips of his elf ear broken and a big scratch across his faceup where someone had obviously slipped with the sander while sanding his seams. There was also a really pretty free wig included which is really nice. * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? I e-mailed Dennis about the problem with the Chocolate Tan Long and he is sending a replacement head, so no problem's there. * Would you order from this company again? Absolutely! I allready have my eye on another doll from them. * Would you buy this company's products second-hand? Probably depending on condition. I have before but some people tend to be a little rough with Bobobie dolls, or do experimental mods on them, so I'd be a bit cautious. Also it's just so easy to buy directly from the company, and the second hand prices don't seem to be much cheaper than the original new price, so I'd probably just lean toward buying directly from the company. I have bought from Bobobie directly a few times now, and I know exactly what I will be getting when I order from them, plus I can pay things off on layaway with the company and not have to negotiate about the terms.
* Ordered Through? Direct from Bobobie's website * What did you order? BBB Charisma girl in sky blue with the demon head. * When did you order? February 5th, 2015 * How was the communication? Terrible. They never responded to my emails or messages. * How easy was it to pay? Very easy, they take Paypal. * How long did it take to ship? A doll arrived roughly three months later, though it wasn't the one I ordered. * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Yes, they make good dolls for the price. * Did the item look like the sales pictures? They sent me the wrong doll, so no. * Were you satisfied with the product? Not at all, they sent me the wrong doll. * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? They did not solve the problem at all. After months of them not responding to my messages, they sent the wrong doll. I told them it was the wrong doll by email as soon as I opened it. They still wouldn't reply. After all that terrible customer service, I opened a dispute on the transaction with Paypal, which finally got them to respond. They offered me a $39.20 refund on $196 worth of wrong doll and 10% off my next purchase from them, then proceeded to argue that they sent the right color even though I ordered sky blue and the doll I got was the perfect shade of gray to make a Homestuck Troll. Apparently their quality control finds that to be an acceptable variance to be attributed to hand-blending the color. After the way they treated me as a customer, there will not be a next purchase from them. * Would you order from this company again? Absolutely not. I like the dolls, but the service was terrible. I will make any future Bobobie purchases through my preferred doll dealer. * Would you buy this company's products second-hand? Yes, if the doll was in good shape. I love the dolls, the service was just atrocious.
