I tried to paint in the inner eye area on the upper lid a little bit, but I think I've got to use more solid black because it's not very noticeable... Oh, well.. Sebby's a work in progress.... I also got to get those darn tattoos figured out...

Mirrin, that's such an awesome hat and I just love your Sebby! I completely understand about the "work in progress" thing...my new light blue RS Fei, Angora, is still being worked on, but very, very slowly. I have my plans for her all ironed out, but with all the holiday obligations it's been really slow going. She does at least have a wig made and one outfit so far. I guess that's progress.

I've been away for this thread for too long. Azukiredbean, your girl looks BEAUTIFUL. Haven't seen her before, so belated congrats are in order. I just love Ariel's droopy ears.

 

Azukiredbean No problems so far! No noticeable yellowing, no dust getting stuck to her face, no gumminess, everything seems peachy. The Krylon was tough to clean off of my girl when some got on her neck, but I didn't have a Mr Clean Magic Eraser, which is supposed to be this amazing thing for taking off sealants, so I'll have to buy one of those and see if it can get Krylon off without as much effort. I definitely recommend Krylon Matte as a base coat, but not a top coat if you think you will want to change your dolls face-up after it's finished.

Edit: Ooh, here's another thought. I will add this to my Krylon thread, I didn't do blushing on my girl, and while colored pencils and acryllic paint took VERY well to the Krylon, I cannot speak for powdered pastels.

Those are the defaults he came with. They are 14mm.

When his real eyes come in they'll be 12mm. That's really just a personal preference though. I like my MSDs to have 12mm because I feel it makes them look more mature.

You should probably combine your posts in the future so you don't get in trouble for double posting.

Merry Christmas everyone! yay new thread! Well my boyfriend ordered me a Grey Wu for Christmas!!!! He was a little sad that it didn't arrive in time for me to open him today, but I did get my white Bei that I got from the MP. Unfortunetly I left my camera at my families which is 4 1/2 hrs away, very upset since I had the photos for my next photostory on it. And I wanted to post a Xmas spam photo....hmmm lets me see????


@peppermintpocky: I love you green Ju, I can't wait until my green Mai girl arrives. Smyth is a fabulous name and the wig is awesome, is there any type of tutorial on dyeing wigs? I would love to get a white mohair wig and dye it for my future Yao.

 

Saichen~ LOL! like him do you? After I make some new eyes for him I'm sure he'll get a bit more camera time. His current eyes are wrong :/ He should have hazel eyes and his are currently straight green

 

It like traditional we start the new thread with dollie spam, so i guess it means i am joining in. I do think the links in the first post are really useful though! @ PeppermintPocky, your green Ju is very cool! I can't wait to see her with her face up!

 

Well it's official I have a NS Rong. I'll be posting stuff for her later but right now I'm posting from my phone.
I have to say. I LOVE the DJ body. It's a bit heavier then the SJ.
Also, Rong came strung like a rock and Raleighia looks extremely loose compared to her.
For some reason, I got a horde of bouncy balls from Emory.
We also got a free fur wig with her which isn't our thing at all and it looked quite silly on her.

I've seen some Wu's and the like come in and I'm wondering if anybody has ordered the Yao yet.

I love that face for a character and would get that head on the boy body (whenever the heck they make the boy faun *pines*), but it'd be wonderful to see a couple of different owner shots of the head (full on, profile, etc) as well as how that new faun body poses/stands.

Anyone? Anyone?

Whee! It's official, I am waiting on an RS Li! I had asked for one for Christmas but I wasn't sure if my dad was going to buy her for me or not. He just told me this morning--she should be in the batch that is on its way from China to FeatherFall now--along with my sister's Iruhi/Rong!

 

sorry for more spam but I think this is the funniest thing, me and my wife got our friend Jeffrey to wear her blue wig and pose with Charme lol, Charme is wearing her Charlie Brown Pajamas, yes she has a broken finger, I am going to get her a new pair of hands eventually, her body came to me like that, but it doesn't make her any less special then she already is!

 

I ordered a lilac Yao on Nov. 26, so hopefully (fingers & toes crossed) she will be here soon. I will be happy to spam lots of pics when she arrives

Anyways, remember I mentioned tattoos? Well I finally gave Arez a simple tattoo!!! I love it myself!!! I'll probably be adding more tattoos to match his personality...since currently that tiger tattoo represents his 'strong will'. :}

Iron_Dog - I also have a Yao on order as do a couple others in the waiting room. Dennis said he would ship it early this week, so hopefully he can! We will all post lots of pics I am sure! Mine is light tan and I am changing the head to an Ariel head I ordered too.

 

I will eventually be ordering a Yao...right now I'm trying do decide who to order next. I got a little bit of money for xmas, and am hoping that the 2 sells in the MP go through and I'll definitely have enought money to order 2 more dolls!!! My boyfriend ordered my Grey Wu directly from RS so hopefully it will be coming in the mail in the next week. And my other 2 dollies will hopefully be shipped from Featherfall in the next few weeks. I was wondering if anyone would mind putting a Li head on male body?

I've got a character who is shorter than his partner (Hopefully a RS An) and I was wondering if there is a hight difference between the new DJ body and the old. or just between the BBB body and the DJ.

No difference on new DJ and old body they are the same height. I belive BBB body is slightly taller?? not certain I don't have a male BBB, I know that AOD boys are much taller I believe 46cm if your looking for a height difference in 2 boys. Other than that you could always make the height difference with what shoes they wear.

So I now have a Jun head on the way...this is a far off project but I saw it in the MP and decided what the heck now if I see a lowered price RS WS body on MP that would be awesome.

Hi all! I hope everyone's holiday was lovely! I love all the pics everyone has been sharing!

Now that the holiday is over, I am going to be working on my incoming Li's 'display case' thing. I need to buy some glow wire and sew a cushion for it. My Li is going to be an android, and she needs a docking station in which to recharge. x3 With any luck, she'll be here within a week and a half. *crosses fingers*

Raesha, our Li's must be in the same bunch! xD Mine is on it's way from China currently too.

 

@dumbunneh...as is my Li, I got a message from Featherfall that she was completed and being shipped to them, so that will be cool if we all got them in at the same time!

 

Wow! A docking station for an android doll just sounds like the coolest thing ever! I certainly hope you post a photo of her in it once you're finished.

 

Okay, so I just caved.

I now have my own beautiful Li on layaway through DDE, and I am really excited.


Now I need to find out what clothes fit her! To Dollmore!
