What's the size difference between a Yi body and a Long body?
I want a double-jointed boy body with the Long head, so is Yi's too big?

 

Hmmm - the Yi body is bigger - a couple of cm in hight and more in width. And I think the neck is thicker too. You can mail Resinsoul and ask them to make you a picture of the Long head on the Yi body!
The Yi body is a much better poser as the Long body...

It's too bad he's not as lean as Long, but I'm so spoiled with the double joints. Maybe I can frankenstein something with the Yi arms and legs or even just the joints.

Strangely enough it looks like JunkySpot's Long-like body is double-jointed?

Long's body was updated after release to have double joints, but the photos on RS's site were never updated to show that, from what I've gathered.

@August Moon Wow that looks TERRIFIC. I was never happy with my Long's head to body proportions, but that looks perfect for his wide face. Killer!

Anyone know the current price on colour matching? I'm hoping to get a Chun body to go with my Deésse head. I have my colour-matching coconut ready to go and am just totting up everything I want, ready for next paycheck. (Might as well get high heeled feet while I'm there... and some heels for Melanie, my other RS Chun, and, and...)

@dollylolz I had this same question about Mi, and I've checked with both Denverdoll and someone who I know has one. DDE said that she takes a 16mm eye, and the other person said 16 or potentially 18mm for a different look. I bought mine 16mm, as I like to have a little more "realistic" look. I hope that helps!

 

I emailed Resinsoul yesterday about their plans for releasing a new 60cm boy body like they had done for Mi. They replied and said "Hello, We have the plan, but it may take some time, Thank you, Sun".

So if anyone who was wondering. I wanted to do a hybrid so I might wait for the new body to see what it looks like. Though they didn't give me a time frame.

 

hi I'm wondering if anyone owns her and if you guys really like her, I love her I'm just concerned about the single jointed body. also if anyone owns resinsoul yi and have any complaints or praises please tell me as I'm interested just haven't seen owner pictures or reviews

is the lian single jointed or double jointed? I want her just don't know about the single jointed body

 

So I just sent a resin foot off to Resinsoul for matching for a 60cm girl body. They're super nice to deal with and super fast on communication. I sent them them some photos of my WS Peakswoods head and they said it might match their normal skin. I decided to go with color matching because if it's not right I'll be stuck with a NS body in an all ws household. So I sent a foot off and paid for the body and matching and now the waiting begins. I have another PW head so if this one works out I'll be ordering another. The matching service is really nice to have available.

 

Hello! This is my RS Long- his name is Ialdos. I love him to death. He's purple. Still working out the horns. They're from RS too, a bit on the large side! oh well!

I'm looking into making the same hybrid myself ^^ Denis's neck is too small for a Gang body; however, you can always sand the neck down to fit Denis's head properly. I just did this for my DC Elizabeth's head who I put on a RS Li body.

 

Does anyone know of brands that fit RS 1/3 dolls well?

 

I have resinsoul dai body and some my life as clothes fit, though they are quite baggy (A safety pin helps) and a little short. You can find my life as clothes at like walmart for 11 dollars an outfit. Sorry if thats not very helpful.

 

does anyone know if a rs gang head fit on the yi body?

 

I don't, but the Yi body is pretty big. I would hazard to say the neck would need modding and the head would look like pin headed. But I don't know for sure.

Nice realistic proportions. Did Sun write anything about if the head fits well on the neck?
I have this body - it is not a bad poser - much better than the older RS 70cm body

I had my Gang head on the 70 cm body without any problems concerning movement. I did however shorten the neck with about 1 cm to make him look better, but I'd probably done the same with any of the 70 heads, the neck is very long on the 70 body. The Gang head on the Yi body looks much better to me, I'm really surprised how well it fits. Then again, the Resinsoul bodies are really on the slim side so any girth to them would look better overall xD

I haven't had the chance to post in this thread yet. I've got a few Resinsoul dolls, although only one (Long head/Loongsoul body hybrid) is really complete. I've got a couple 70cm boy bodies floating around, as well as a Yi head I'm planning to mod, and a Lian head in a custom color.

I'm going to be putting the Yi head on one of the 70cm bodies. I wasn't certain it would work at first, but after playing around with it a bit, I ended up really liking the proportions. Yi has a nice, narrow face, and with the 70cm body's giraffe neck, it ended up working pretty decently in my opinion. If I wasn't in the transition of moving from one place to another, and busy with school, I'd be more than eager to get to work on that boy!

As for Lian, I went through some order woes trying to get a color match. I ended up getting a body for her in Impldoll's new brown that I will have to dye to match when I get the chance.

Oh wow. Love her. She may have just bumped Ai off my wishlist...we'll see...

She's on the new body but it looks like they've added the thigh swivel joint to the legs. When I ordered a Mi/Sophia body I requested the old legs so I could have that joint so I'm glad to see it

 

Can't wait until my Yi gets here, he shipped yesterday!
I have to make him some clothes. Is he standard SD17 for patterns or will I have to draft some?

 

My apologies if this has been discussed already in another RS thread.... but RS is including CoAs now? Also their carry bags are coming in white/cream? On top of quite a few new dolls with better pictures! I'm kinda excited they're upping their game.

 

I agree wholeheartedly! The new packaging I've been seeing really looks top-notch and in line with other (pricier) companies, and the new photos are terrific. It's great and exciting to see.
