I agree, I'd MUCH prefer the old body, though I wouldn't rule the Neo body out altogether. What I don't want is the new Blossom body, I could easily settle for the new Girl.

 

spindlewood, My Olive has the same problem! (one side is worse than the other, though, since the inside of his eyes weren't carved out evenly. His left one is flawed along the lower inner edge, which is visible... ugh!)

He wears low-dome eyes, so you're definitely not alone!

 

I figured out what was causing the problem for my Olive. It was the glue from her eyelashes! She had an excessive amount of glue inside her eye well and it was causing her eyes to sit poorly. I removed the eyelashes simply because I wasn't a huge fan. I'm extraordinarily happy now because she can finally wear the extra pair of MakoEyes I had lying around.

I've been experimenting with looks for my Olive, I changed her eyes back and she's trying out a short ginger wig I bought aaaages ago, it actually suits her in a way. But who knows, her and my May both want the long blond wig, I can't decide who gets it!

Daisy reminds me of a cross between Denis and May. I'm excited for MW's return! Mostly because of sentimental reasons, but I also found it easier to order through MW than BlueFairy itself.

 

Apparently BF made a Japanese-language announcement, about a new management company taking them over. 3/5 was the opening of the Japanese-language website. BF made an announcement on their English site that they're going to change the catalog menu soon, plus make price changes.

I wonder if that means some items will go back to the MW site (like the Jr. body), or if something else will be featured there. (And I hope the price changes aren't that much!)

I'm excited about this too. i've always wanted a Jr body Minoru but never got around to it when BF took over. One thing I do hope -- they keep their fast turn-around!
As for Milkies, I asked on their Q&A and was told they should be released in March.

I recently ordered a TF Girl body for a Volks SDM head (the girl supposed to be a friend for my May) and asked Blue Fairy whether I'll get an 'old' or 'new' body - because of exciting hands. They answered I had to noce I want a classical body and added they're planning to sell those hands separately.

 

I don't know if it's off topic, but the no make up milky fairies have been released, I'm just announcing because I know they'd been mentioned here.

hi guys! I just popped in here to ask a question that I hope someone will be able to answer. I was looking at some of the shoes that BF offers and was wondering how their sizes run? They don't list any cm measurements and I know some companies tend to make shoes that are really big even for their own dolls.

 

BlueFairy = SD
TinyFairy = MSD
ShinyFairy = YOSD (I belive Shinyfairy Junior could be a bit different, but Shinyfairy is YOSD size)
PocketFairy = Tiny, smaller than Lati Yellow feet

Tinyfairy shoes are made for TF, they are big for Minifee, here's a comparison from Tinyfairy, Unoa and Minifee feet. TF shoes for flat feet would fit for Unoa.

Buying TF shoes for TFs, so far I've owned 6 pairs, all the girls shoes have been amazing but I have a pair of black brogues, obviously designed for boys, and they're much bigger, even though boys have the same size feet!! I have TF cuff canvas too and the fit fine.
I'm not trying to sway you, but if you're looking for good quality, TF size shoes then you should really check out Daydream int too, I have a few of theirs and they fit perfectly, they look slightly daintier than BFs shoes and the craftsmanship is second to none.

 

SOrry I didn't read your question properly, I was in a hurry. I agree with everything Last_bus_home said about TF shoes. I don't know if the Neo Body feet are same size as Classic body feet.

 

thanks for the info guys! I actually really want a pair of BF's cowboy boots as DollHeart is the only other shoe company I've seen with a pair I like and I know their msd boots tend to be big enough to fit sd girl feet. ^^; I've never had a chance to play with a pair of BF shoes so I wasn't sure if they ran big or not. I lurk in here from time to time but I tend to just scroll thru the photos. heh

 

I just compared my classic (gentle) boy's feet to my neo (dandy) boy's feet and they're identical as far as size goes as far as i can tell?? (^o ^

Woo! Limited dolls are announced, Daisy and Leila valentine, but also a Minoru valentine and a mysterious TF Charlotte! They'll be released on the 24th of this month. ^^

The new ordering setup for the Big and Tiny fairies is interesting. At first I thought they were only going to sell the TF's as specials, since they're marked at $410. But when you start playing with the options - I tried on a Jasmine - if you take bare doll, any body, w/faceup and nothing else, it drops to $315. A default wig goes to $335, $5 extra for some of the other wigs. You can also order extra hands or feet at the same time. If you pick the default outfit, it goes to $380, but you can also get any of the theme/limited outfits for about $13 extra! Same thing for boots/shoes.

Pretty darn cool. And the starting price given is $20 less than the $430 the specials were listed at before the revamp.

I wonder if the gentle body garnered too many complaints about the leg instability to keep around.

ohh boy that's really disappointing, i just sent them a message asking if they had any left in stock since i don't see it on the choice pages or the individual parts purchase page any more???! i hope they do, the gentle body is super special to me and i love it, even with its faults. ;__;
bluefairy makes my favourite msd bodies aahh..... they're so smooth and gentle and the boys don't have ridiculous six packs or anything thank goodness... ;__;

Gentle body is not at the site anymore. I wanted the Gentle body for my Gus, I guess I have to settle for Classic Dandy if it is available with the peachy colour? I'm so annoyed at the moment. >_> I know the new bodies are more yellow in tone and the NS Gus head I have doens't match in there. So annoying. And I didn't notice the change in category line until I read hobbywhelmed's comment about it. Basic Patrick with boy body would be $268 without face up or any other extras. The old Choice was $278. Also it seems to be cheaper to buy a pair of some shoes with the doll than choose them from the shoe category separately (at least for some shoes). But I'm still bummed about the lack of Gentle body. :/ I'm now more worried if I can buy the old colour body if I want to buy a Classic body... *sigh*

NeonLanterns, Ah that's the problem that I really like the Tinyfairy classic bodies and really want to have Dandy (or Gentle) for my Gus. I just need to ask them about the colour (and the option part Dandy body), since there's not photos of the Neo Dandy body still, will the Dandy be a Classic if I order it from the option parts menu. I regret a little I didn't order him a body when I ordered the head. ^^;

 

I had been thinking about people wanting the Gentle body going off to get daydream bodies too, their price body really does have a lot in common with Gentle body (I didn't want another Gentle boy, but I'm still cross they'd discontinue it!)
I hope everyone can find the bodies they're looking for

 

Ahhh its all getting a little depressing now...hopefully after the weekend BF will get back to us and answer all our questions!

In the meantime, I've had a minute to play with Una! I found out she'll quite happily tuck her hair away from her face without my help uvu

my camera is just my itouch, but i made sure i had decent lighting for these, so i hope they're sufficient..!
i should mention that i've done some blushing on both feet but the inside and bottoms of them should be the standard resin colour.
upon separating them from the rest of the body and looking at them from various angles, they're a little more different from each other than i thought, but still pretty darn close.

i only recently came across daydreams and i was like... "are these bluefairies???" i couldn't really tell the difference, haha
if they would match, i could probably wait it out for a white skin event from daydream and get a body from that, and then wait for a ws bluefairy event for a patrick head.... that would take so long though.... ;__; and i don't know how well they match?? i don't know much about daydream at all ((sweats)) ^^;;;

mangameow I'm afraid Daydream isn't the best resin match for BF, their NS is paler than BF's and their WS is much whiter. I have owned several Daydream dolls (none have been quite right for me yet) and I have only gone for NS since their WS would be too pale for my tastes (whereas all my BF dolls are WS).
I know people who have used Daydream bodies for BF heads however and perhaps with the right blushing they could work, certainly the proportions are right! They did change their resin colours after starting out so some comparisons you see might bot be accurate now.
The Prince body from DD seems to have wider shoulders than the Gentle body (though I might have imagined it, it was only from memory) but it's a beautiful body, I really recommend them.

I tried to take some too but it really shows that the only things I photograph is my dolls (with my phone or ipad).
But I hope they can be helpful to show the prince and gentle bodies together. The prince body has a May head from february -15 and the gentle body has a Sally head. I think the daydream Sally is from fall -14 and the gentle body came in a two part box with white lid 8from eBay) so I don't know how old it is but it has the same color as the blossom body from november-14.There is a difference in color but it is so small that it doesn't bother me.

I would like to get Sally a boy body in the future and a Kyle or Louis for the prince body.

I too noticed that the choice pages are gone, but it seems like they have merged the standard and choice listings.
Is the gentle body really being discontinued? So... they completely change the classic bodies without much details/notice, and then they discontinue the last classic body type that they have? What's up with BF these days? @__@

Hi everyone! I was just about to join you all as a fresh-and-new Bluefairy owner, but they have changed their choice system before I could make up my mind about placing an order... could someone please explain what's really going on with the ordering system?
Can we still get the classic body with the sinmple joints? Or do they only sell the Neo bodies now? Without even giving a notice? D:

mangameow, Wow, thank you for your help, I think the new feet are quite similar to the old one. I can see very slight diffences with the bridge (?) of the feet and new ones are teeny bit slimmer from the sides. Super big Thanks for your help, it was great to see them up close. ^__^

Beatrice.W, also thanks for the comparison of Daydream and Bluefairy! I like that body, it seems. I keep that in mind. Oh the Oxford shoes or what ever those pointy ones are. I have one pair too, came with my Kevin. I think they're quite hilarious as they're so long and pointy. ^^ Hehee my Louis Valentine is wearing them at the moment, they seem to go with his image quite smoothly.

Yuna268, Ah, much to talk at the moment. I think the category change was quite big, I see they've removed Xiao from their list like Gus was earlier. I'd hope Bluefairy would give us more information about these things..

Bluoxyde, Hello and welcome to the thread! Bluefairy announced their change to Neo bodies a while back, June last year, after this, were the first photo at their site of Dandy and Blossom body and stated that Classic bodies are not for sale anymore after the stock has run out of each type. Then at September they said at the bottom of the announcement that the Classic bodies will be available later again. They haven't updated any photos of the Neo bodies, thus the frustration about for example, Neo Boy body has the hands designed for Dandy body, as nobody knew that before someone received Neo Boy. I would recommend to ask from them, if you want to buy for example a Jasmine with Blossom body, that which body will you receive if you order now.

 

Bluoxyde, my doll was ordered prior to the (newest) update about the neo bodies, yet I still received a neo body upon arrival without any kind of notice.

Since they have no plans to continue the classic bodies right now, but later on, allow me to warn you that - especially for the standard boy and girl bodies - the neo body has longer legs, different hands and slightly wider shoulders than the classic bodies.

I really hate this since for me, the cute and childlike appearance is what I was going for (I absolutely hate the mature upper arms and long legs on my 11 y/o boy!) but unfortunately there's nothing that can be done about it at this time.
However, the bodies do feature some improvements in terms of posing, as the dolls can now touch their faces and cross their legs with ease, among other things.

As for their choice options - just click on "tiny fairy" and select the doll that you would like to buy.
You will notice that they have put the gender/body options there!

I definetly will ask Bluefairy about the classic bodies, I must admit that I strongly dislike the Neo bodies, I've seen them (exposed nude) in the new bluefairy (and some other company) cafe place in Seoul barely two weeks ago and I don't want those >< Basically no classic body means no Bluefairy doll for me at all T___T Moreover, I actually wanted to eventually get two or three of TF dollss, with dandy and gentle body height difference being soooo cute...I guess that won't be possible now :\

Ahhhh, Thank you Beatrice.W! Although I've owned both the gentle body and the Prince body, Not at the same time. For me I felt like the prince body had wider shoulders than I wanted, and I never felt like that was a problem with the Gentle body. Looking at your photo, I suspect that it was all down to choice oh head I had on those bodies rather than their actual shapes.

Welcome Bluoxyde! I hope you can get the doll you're looking for, I don't know if you buy preloved, but I suspect quite a few of us will be looking to buy older dolls now the changes have come into place, either way, good luck!

 

Bluoxyde, you've been to their new Cafe?! It's in Seoul?? I just moved to Korea and was really excited to eventually visit the Cafe, but there's no info in English I can find about it! Can you share the address and what it was like? I was hoping to be able to ask some questions in person next month, haha.

Yes, I'm glad at least that the prices weren't raised, it seems. I always thought BF dolls were a bit pricey for what they were, and a price hike would not have made me happy when Luts had lowered their prices in the meanwhile. I want to send a message to BF asking about the classic bodies too, along with letting them know that their sparse notices and lack of updated body photos are not appreciated by us fans, haha. When I get access to a proper computer again, maybe.

I do think the 11cm milky fairy is pretty adorable, though still a steep price to me considering what you get. Really, though, rather than all these new projects they keep trying and then forgetting, I just want my classic Emile boy and a bloody white skin option like every other company has!!! I won't be happy with bluefairy again until I can get the dolls I actually want. Ugh!

 

I hope they will update the photos of Neo bodies and be clear IF and WHEN the Classic bodies will be available. I still have a bunch of Tinyfairies in my list (among some Shinies and Pockets LOL) and even if I'm interested about the Neo bodies, I'm still wanting to think that I can get some with the Classic body. Also a quickie Instagram photo from yesterday, pardon the off topic Minifee, but I think Daphne (Olive) and Mariette (DES) looked really pretty with same blouse on. ^^ Ah to have strength to go do some proper photographing would be lovely.

I'm hoping they still have some bodys left and they can just setup a link where I can go buy it or something. Oh well

almyki, Oh you moved to Korea? Awesome, I'd love to come live there for a little while! Yes the cafe is in Seoul, I don't know the adresse since it was a friend who took me there, I think it's in Hongdae actually not far from thier old place. It was very cosy, although it sure is less fancy then their old place, the guy who runs the place (not sure if he's the owner) was very nice. They have a table with doll-sized furniture in one corner where you can take some pictures of your dolls, also I've ordered some stawberry milkshake that was delicious XD I totally fell for for the Bluefairy dolls there Here's a really crappy shot from my mobile phone:

Last_bus_home, I've bought dolls from the markertplace before but I'd really rather get them from the company, it's like...having a special bond with the dollmakers, I don't know if it makes much sense, it just feels right XD Thanks!

 

Buoxyde that totally makes sense, and actually, the 3 dolls I still have are new ones. I have bought dolls from the marketplace when I've been looking for limiteds, but given the choice I'm like you.

I miss having a baked doll in my crew, I'm trying to keep my group small though. I wonder if/when we'll get Baked dolls this year.

I could hybridize but I really don't want to pay for extra shipping...and I like getting my doll all in one piece (I'm just being spoilt right now haha) but then I also quite like a lot of daydream dresses so I could get it all at once..but then with that comparison photo I've decided I really don't like daydream bodies as much...

 

So I've decided to give my Olive the temporary name of Ramona, after Beverly Cleary's character Ramona Quimby. The reason being is that my Olive has similar personality traits She has a tendency to be somewhat irritating, though she doesn't really intend to be.

even if they made a white skin option, they could still do white skin events, just like a different white?? like a full pure white or a pinkish one?? or a blue-ish one! Bluefairies could finally be blue....

I started a thread a while ago on the photo reference forum about comparing class TF bodies to neo ones- probably best to just type in "tf" in the photo reference forum, since the link that I posted on this board is buried in piles of anxiety from everyone over the neo bodies hahah- but if you do get a chance to make a video, be sure to post it there too for future reference ^^

Also it is very kind of you to offer to give me the spare gentle body ;;;v;; I'm not sure how BF work their stock, but they emailed me saying there were no more Gentle bodies left(at least for Louis) so I might not be able to get it at all? (it's probably a resin match problme or smn idk how BF do their processing ;;v;

But nahh, I'm very two minded now. I've recently become aware of that those thigh mobility joints actually do and now I...really want a neo dandy...
I've been having many second thoughts about it really...I really dont know whether I should just go for it!
With all the stuff BF is doing I have no idea when they'll pull an item or a sculpt will disappear ;;n;

 

Oh she's my favourite! I went through a large part of my childhood feeling quite misunderstood until someone bought me the Ramona Quimby books! I actually named one of my dolls (a patrick) Ramona in the hopes I would understand her character better but in the end she wasn't right for me. I think it's a lovely idea!!

On the white skin note (and I'm sure some people would not be happy with me saying this) but I'm so glad Bluefairy keep WS as a limited option, for me, it makes getting my doll that much more exciting if I had to wait and search for her and I like that it makes my dolls just slightly more individual.
I hope I don't offend anyone by saying.

Edit: the new limiteds are live! Charlotte and Daisy don't do anything for me, but I had my eye on SF Minoru V, I've had to pass her by though.

Edit!! Catherine Parks' facebook has become Minoruworld Facebook and has loads, LOADS of limited dolls! This morning I spent my funds on Daydream dolls so I'm missing out, oh well! (Plus, you'll have to ask, but I imagine they'll be on classic bodies)

Last_bus_home, you killed me with that last piece of news, hahaha. At this point my doll-hunt lives and dies on these random, hidden special releases and limiteds they do, but I'm terrible about finding when and where they come from. I checked it out immediately, and they actually had one of the dolls I've been waiting for! I don't say which and jinx it now, but I hope I'm the first to claim her... she's a very popular face sculpt. I just spent like an hour carefully translating my simple English message into a Korean translation just in case it helps communication. Living in Korea, I also feel like this helps force me to practice Korean a bit, hahaha.

I won't lie, I'm also hoping that I can get her for the Korean price. I got a feeling that the won was weak against the dollar these days and did a simple price comparison with an online currency converter. TFs are about 410k won and $410 dollars, but 1k won = $0.90 now. That's about $40 higher just from the currency conversion. Really not happy with the pricing they use, especially since we have to pay so much more on shipping (it starts at $50 for a doll!) plus customs for some people.

Also, I thought the Obitsu Milky Fairies seem a bit pricey, but comparing the cost to original obitsu prices, why is it sooo much higher? It's ridiculous. I don't see what makes MFs so special compared to regular obitsus, and they're even cheaper on a Japanese seller's site: http://junkyspot.com/obindex.html . $20 for the body, $6-$14 for the unpainted head. From BF, $25 for the body, $38 for the head. $21-$34 compared to $63! To say nothing of the shipping. Am I missing something here???

Ugh, but me, I'm good at complaining, huh? Hahaha, it comes from years of practice. Sorry guys =P . I'm actually really excited about potentially getting a new doll on my list, finally! It's been so long, and I'm even getting my first paycheck tomorrow after over a month here. Also, they have that 12th anniversay event item, the paper dolls! Nothing mindblowing like big sales/event items from other companies, but it's a really cute touch. It looks really cute! I'd like two, honestly, haha. One to cut out and one to keep in pristine condition! Maybe if I buy over $600 worth of stuff and ask really nicely, they'll say yes, hahahaha.

I'm super excited that passing that bit of news on actually helped! I really want a sleeping Denis, but I want one on a boy body, and I don't want him enough to pay $590 and then have to source a body! I want a May V too but luckily that wasn't an option, my funds were drained only an hour before I saw the post. So I'm going to revel in other people's doll purchases and live vicariously through you guys.

Ps. The Milky fairies might be overprices but I hadn't noticed and I wouldn't mind, though I have decided to pass on that one!
