Anyway, TF is actually updating it's bodied to double jointed ones. It's been the topic of discussion in aforementioned thread, and we have posted links to owner photos of the new dolls with double joints. There is also a thread on the Reference photos board about the TF Neo bodies (as that's what the double jointed bodies are called).

We're all still waiting for our neo bodies to come in, and working on getting more reference images for the new looks of the dolls. (since Bluefairy have slightly altered their sculpts with the new upgrade). But for now, just check those links and see if you like the new bodies ^^

I am really confused about the Neo body. Since the pictures on the Blue Fairy website are still of the old bodys, and there doesn't seem to be any mention of the Neo on there... Yet it seems that people ordering are getting the new Neo body? Are they really sending people the new body without any mention on the website that that is what you will be receiving? Or does it say so somewhere and I'm just not seeing it? I am actually interested in potentially getting two Tiny Fairy dolls, (a Robin and a Jasmine) so can anyone give me some confirmation that if I purchase one, I will be getting the Neo body? I am really uncomfortable about the thought of buying a doll if I am not sure of exactly what I'll be getting. I also haven't seen any pictures yet of the boy Neo body without clothes. I'd love it if anyone could get me a picture or two so I know what they look like. Thank you for the help. ( :

 

Yes, that's exactly what they're doing. (there are mixed feelings on this tbh- they really should update the pictures)

You will get neo body unless you specify otherwise when ordering. I recently ordered a Robin myself and when asked, Bluefairy confirmed she's on a neo body.

 

Thank you for the information. That is very strange, they really need to update the website. Although I am glad that the Neo body exists, as the only thing I didn't like about the Tiny Fairys is that they were not double jointed. But even though I like the Neo body, I agree that they really should be more clear about it. I'm glad I know, though. I would have been very confused if I ordered one with out knowing and got the Neo body without expecting it...

Yes, me too! Although the legs are still too long and the upper arms are too 'buff', he always wears sleeves and I'm sure I'll adjust to the long legs long enough until I can get the old body.
The hands are the most crucial thing, since they're always visible.

I still can't believe that they were willing to make an exception for me... True customer service!

ChickenB, NeonLanterns has explained everything well to you everything^^. In my opinion I have now the two bodies, the classic/old type and the neo body, and I love both of them!. The classic type is just beautiful and has his charm, it really poses well after doing the hot glue, and the neo body is beautiful too, this body can take very lovely poses, like the cute pose, and they are able to touch his face, which is lovely! *____*. I will try to make a few pictures in the next days to show the main differences^^

I was having a not good last week, but thanks my girls I am feeling better now!!, they are simply amazing!, and As I said I will try to make some comparison pictures of the neo body^^. My first impression is positive, and I just love that my girls can touch their faces!!

I hope my mako eyes arrive soon too so that I can finally have them finished!!^^

AHHHHHHHH MY TF ARRIVED!! Unboxing over here!!

I AM SO HAPPY WITH HER! She's so beautiful and her face up is perf.
One thing I noticed though is she is not on the neo body. I had even asked Bluefairy and they had confirmed she was on neo- but she's not! She has single jointed and squishy thicker limbs and that adorable pinky finger! So unfortunately I cannot provide pictures of neo-full blossom...but I got the doll I had wanted in the first place! I am incredibly happy (and beautiful magnetic head to boot!)

Today Elliot's hand parts arrived in the mail. The box was ridiculously big for such a small pair of hands!

They're completely adorable. They're a great deal darker (and pinker) than the rest of his body, but since they're only hands, I'll simply blush them to match.
No photos this time since I don't find it necessary, but I'll definitely spam him a bit once his outfit is done!

I'm waiting on one of my own. Given BF's propensity to not stay on top of shipping notices, I'm just going to wait. Especially since I didn't think I was going to be able to get him at all-- I love the little face on the Special Allan. When I finally had the money, though, I saw he was marked as being out of stock! I figured it couldn't hurt to ask (I also put up a WTB thread here), and used the Q&A to say if any sales for him fell through, or even if they had a head w/faceup lurking around, I'd be interested.

They posted back that they actually had one last Allan w/dandy body and faceup, and they switched his page so I could order it. Which I did at lightning speed. He was then back to out of stock. But I've got him!

I made a skirt for Una today! it's not very good and I want to try again soon.


One thing I realize about her is that she's somewhat unbalanced- it may be my own inexperience with dolls, but I feel like one of her legs is more loose than the other? (at times it even feels like it's shorter) she seems to have to stand on a weird slant with that leg to be stable. Her arms are also so very kicky wow.

And I almost had an accident jus tnow she she almost slid off my bed and onto the floor (which is carpeted and my bed is low, but nopenopenope) I caught her though so shes ok ;v;

And what you say about the unbalance, do not worry, I have many dolls and I have the same "issue", and not only with Bluefairies. You have to try to move her while standing to get the balance again, sometimes i think my girls have one leg shorter than the other(which is impossible...), but this is due to the hip, at least it works for me to move her hip to both sides, right and left, and her torso too to find the balance again^^

My Noble Sarang arrived today finally(that was really fast) *_____*, and I am totally in love!, she is so adorable as I thought she would!!. I have made a family picture too^^. I put her arrival on my blog

Finally my Olive told me her name, she is quite shy hahaha, so she is Sally!, it was just funny, suddenly I looked at her and the name came to me like an inspiration

I named my Noble Sarang Madeleine^^. And today maybe was the day of the names, because my Rachel decided to get a new name too, so she is now Emma^^. I hope that the eyes I bought finally will be shipped, it is taking quite long...

So please welcome my Madeleine ^__^

On my last post I forgot to mention something important about the normal resin color and the match.
I have notice that the normal resin color of the classic body and the neo body are totally different. As you can see thee is no resin match at all. The neo body normal color(middle) is much more yellow and the normal color of the classic body(right) is more pink.

I already contacted BF and asked them if this is the new color they are going to have for future orders or if they are going to use the standard normal color of the classic body, more pink and much more beautiful to my taste. I have still no response but I hope they will still offer the old normal color.

When I compare them I see the color difference, my girls on the neo body, Olive and Sarang are clearly more yellow, but not yellowed, since they just arrived XDDD. I do still love the pink normal color of the classic body. I will get back here as soon as I got a response from BF^^

 

brighteyes22 - Sadly, Bluefairy resin is not and never has been very consistent in colour, so I don't think this is a resin colour change so much as it's just a batch that is more yellow. I've owned a lot of Bluefairy dolls over the years and literally none of them have ever actually matched ^^;;;;

 

wow.....O___O none of them have matched?... that is incredible, and very sad u.u, I really love the color of my Xiao and was hoping to get my other girls with the same color..., well I guess I have to accept it.

I can vouch for the mismatch as well! My 2013 Olive doesnt exactly match the extra hands I bought for her in 2014. The 2014 are slightly pinker but I cant tell if its because of the batch or because my girl has yellowed *weeps*

 

The good news is that Bluefairy resin ages very gracefully. It's hard to believe that Natsume when he was first arrived was part of the almost neon pink batches of BF resin and is now a very beautiful peach colour. Another BF I owned that was even pinker than Natsume was, my first actual BJD, has actually mellowed into a nice light tan colour.

 

My Olive finally has a name: Shijima! She was difficult to figure out because she doesn't talk - at all. She is very quiet and secretive and I often wonder what she's up to...



(I really need to take some proper pictures of her... u__u)

 

She's beautiful, spindlewood! With such expressive, dramatic eyes, she likely doesn't feel the need to talk.

yes, you are right, even dolls of the same year do not match I have my Rachel and my Sarang in white and they do not match either O__O

I totally agree. The first two BF I had aged beautifully, in a very precious color like you say peach, I never had the impression they were yellowed^^

By the way resin color , I finally got a response of BF about the resin color change:

"The reason of color difference between Xiao and Neo Sarang and Olive is because they have different production time. Neo body is the newest your Xiao was made before. Also we've adjusted the skin color brighter and less redness for the Neo body production."

So this means, all new girls and boys will be a little more yellow and brighter than before^^. I do love both colors, but I think the color of the old bodies more red is even cuter, but this is fine with me^^.

WOW, she is absolutely amazing and beautiful!! I think it is adorable that she does not speak at all, this is so sweet *___*, maybe when she is longer with you she will begin to tell you more things . I am looking forward to seeing her very soon again!!!

NeonLanterns, I like the skirt you've sewn for Una. It would perhaps help if you'd add about twice her hips circumfence as the skirt and then make the ruffly thing and gather the fabric around her waist with the waistband. You'd have more volume to the skirt part. The hem and waist stitching looks really neat. ^^

brighteyes22, I'm loving also the names you gave your dolls. Naming is difficult, I've also changed some names of my dolls. Also thank you for the many photos of the Neo body and comparison of the new resin colour. I really liked the peachy old skin. *sigh* Also went to see the box opening of your Noble Sarang at your Blog, fabulous.

brighteyes22, Loving your girls, they're so cute. ^^ Their outfits are so adorable too. Hehe, my girls are not actually twins, they're best friends who want to dress like each other. ^^ I have a story going on in my head, lol, but too bad I'm not been able to make any photostories from them yet.

NeonLanterns, I don't know if it is oil based clay, but I didn't like the feel of it so I use bluetack, white tack and silicon earplug materials to keep the eyes in their places. ^^

 

Question for fellow Olive owners: Is it just my Olive or do all Olives have funky eye wells? My Olive can wear 16mm eyes, but they don't lay flat. There's always a gap on the sides of her eyes. Does anyone else have this problem? Is there anyway to fix it?

 

Hey guys, I've scrolled back and I can't see any excited talk about the next limited dolls. Anyone else seen new limited head Daisy?
When I couldn't see it mentioned here I thought I better ask so any one who's a big fan of Denis can start saving!! (Also there seems to be a Leila valentine on the way, for the Shinyfairy lovers out there)



Also, Minoru world has reopened, couldn't see any mention of this either. (Japanese site only, english coming soon)

I've become a bit distanced from my dolls lately, I can't seem to connect with my Olive. Olive was always my grail doll and for a while my Olive Grace was my favourite doll, now I can't figure her out. Also my girls all squabble over one wig, whoever gets to wear it seems to be my favourite until one of the others steals it, anyone else had this problem? ><"

 

spindlewood, How big is the dome in the eyes you've tried on her. If the dome is big it might be difficult to put the eye in the socket. I haven't noticed any problems with my Olive's eyes yet.

Last_bus_home, OOO I've seen that Denis at BF Instagram too! I was interested to see when it comes for sale, I love the tiny teeth she has! The opening of Minoruworld was at their Instagram too, I think. I've not had any problems with all girls wanting to share one wig, since most of them have different colours I've chosen for them. Maybe the solution would be get more of that wig?

 

She looks like an interesting sculpt but I want to see her from a better angle! She looks like she might make a perfect sibling for Daydream's Juliet with the little teeth and slightly droopy eyes. I've wanted a sleeping Denis for a really long time, but they're hard to find, I'm going to be keeping my eye on this girl!

Sometimes I think I need to buy several of that wig, and matching eyes, make all of my girls triplets! ...But I hate the shipping charges from Leekeworld

 

Daisy is quite pretty! I've always liked Denis and I love dolls with visible teeth, so she's right up my alley. Though I'd be loathe to buy any LEs from them now since I'd be stuck with the Neo body, which I just do not like. I wish they would offer the option to go with the classic body. That would definitely be a way to make everyone happy.
