BlueFairy Shiny Fairy/(MW) Junior body discussion part 1

I worry about taking his head off not only because I'm clumsy, but because I read in here that the older Bluefairy dolls have that large S-hook problem. He's definitely older. He's been in that shop for years. He was in one of the first batches of dolls that Fabric Friends and Dolls ordered when they first started carrying BJDs.

So did you read on the Bluefaury site, that the Order Made system is coming for Shiny Fairies too!
I'm sooo happy! Of course I want a SF May in beauty white skin

About May... Today I wiped my May 1st, because the face-up was bothering me. But I do love the Bluefairy style, so I have been practicing on another doll to do that syle face-up.
Today I finally had the guts to wipe her and redo her! Here is the result ^^ I think she looks a lot cuter now, more like how I want her to look ^^
I'm not 100% satisfied yet, but I'm happy

I'm excited about TF order made system too, I would like a May 3rd WS too I think!

In other news, my Paul head shipped today! I'm looking forward to her arrival, I hope I bond with her! Her clothes haven't arrived yet, and I decided to wait until she got here before ordering a wig.

Question to y'all - since Bluefairy now offers the same heads on either the ShinyFairy or the Jr. bodies, and since there's very little activity in the MW Jr. thread, and some of you likely have both or either -- would you be interested in merging the two topics? It could be a BlueFairy Shinyfairy/Jr. body thread.

I'm also very excited at the prospect of Order Made Shiny Fairies! If I could order my SF BS Leila while in Korea this year, I'll have all the BF dolls in my plans, finally!

I agree we should merge the topics, since the heads are used on both shiny and junior bodies.

 

Sorry about the belated reply - that holiday thing really got in the way....

I've merged the two threads, so talk away about either body. If anyone has measurements for the Junior bodies, let me know and I'll plug it into the first post. I checked the site, but the sale page for the Junior male body just says "27cm" too. Dunno - they give a slightly taller impression....

side note - I have one of the older MW Minoru boys myself, and will definitely be getting one of the SF heads on a Junior body one of these days--

I'm planning to buy another Shiny Fairy body, and put my May 3 on there. Allthough I love the junior body, she looked so cute on the small body...
And then I'll have May twins, I think I'll just die of cuteness, hahaha

Your pictures are so inspiring. The more I see of these dolls, the more I am in love!

If someone here could quickly confirm something for me: the Junior body is small (puki sized) and the Shiny body is Lati Yellow Special size? (roughly, of course!

EDIT: Never mind,. . . I re-read the very first post in the thread (and paid attention this time) so I know that those comparisons are way off and that we are talking YoSD sized and a bit bigger here. But that still makes them adorable.

 

[MENTION=37946]spensers_mom[/MENTION] If you are looking for dolls in that size range, and you like Bluefairy's aesthetics, you might want to look into Pocket Fairies They come in 2 sizes too, a taller one that is 19cm, and a smaller one that is 14 cm

Thanks! I am torn between wanting a new YoSD but also I love the Lati Yellow size so I am going to have to compare, debate, agonize . . . and then buy one of each, I fear!

If you want to have a comparsion photo I can help you with that. ^^ I have Lati yellow and both size of Pocketfairies. Both could home to my home in bucketfulls. LOL. So, on Monday I ordered a SF girl body for my Yara (May3) and today it already shipped! I will have May twins reeeaallllyyyy soon
I think I will die of cuteness, haha ^^

Now I have a spare Junior body. I was first thinking I would make a Dollmore Zihu hybrid on there, but I am afraid the head will be far too big for the Jr body. So I'm going to stick with SF heads.
I'm doubting between Shirley, Sam and Jaden. I love those three so much, and they're all so different. Sam and Shirley I got to see IRL in the ThinkPink shop. I fell head over heels in love with little Sam. Not so much with Shirley, her nose was so big, it didn't look so nice next to my May's, so I crossed her off my list. But now my May's will both be on the little body, I'm thinking the bigger nose isn't such a problem anymore since she'll be on the tall body. I actually think the big nose is ADORABLE XD And I've always had a weakness for Jaden, that sweet shy little smile. Sigh... Choosing is hard!

Thank you @billy001 She's so cute! I think I'm now leaning towards Shirley. As I think I want Sam on the small body, and angry toddler hahaha Jaden I'm not sure yet on what body I want her... She would look cute on both.... Oh and I also want a Connie, but defenitely on the small body. So the only one I'm certain about for the Junior body is Shirley haha ^^
So the body for my May will arive in my country tomorrow early (5:00AM) But customs will probably hold her hostage, so I think it will be sometime next week when I'll receive her. I'm now quite worried about the resinmatch, as someone in the TinyFairy thread showed some hands that didn't match her Normal skin doll at all. I'm crossing my fingers it will match!

 

Oh yeah I'm sure the resin mismatch was just a mishap. Bluefairy is so awesome with customer service. I love Shirley too I want her on junior body someday :-) if I do decide to get a yosd size bjd I'm going to get Hana she is so cute!

Hey Sodabeentjes I always intended on getting Shirley, I LOVE the company photos of her on the SF body but not the photos of Jr Shirley so much I agree about her nose, that's what put me off getting her in the end, I was always tempted to get a blank head and mod it (that's how desperate I was)!

In other news, MY PAUL HEAD ARRIVED! She's adorable but I have to find her the right eyes! I haven't taken photos yet but I will soon. I'm excited because Paul was always on my list, all the time I shifted between wanting May and Shirley, I always wanted a paul girl and now I have her!! I've altered her face up a little, and may change it a little more. I want to give her freckles I think but don't want it to look like I'm copying Theo! Anyway, watch this space for photos!!

 

tee hee! Just realized they make a Clare sculpt . . . should get that one maybe as that's my name! :P

Although the Leila is darned cute . . .

The nose makes her so different to the May's. But maybe not when she's a lot taller... When I look at pictures of her, I think the big nose is actually super cute... XD

@spensers_mom I have a Leila. But she will be going to a friend of mine soon, I couldn't bond with her. Even though she is so incredibly cute...

So I'm waiting for the delivery truck as we speak... So hopefully later today I can share some pictures of my twins! It's a horrible cloudy rainy day here though So I might wait for better lighting haha
edit: So it arrived, and the resin match is quite allright, it's only a little more pink. But it's super close ^^ I think the pink will also fade over time, so it will become an even better match.

A lot of us have been waiting for this, but BF have a new order made system and it finally allows customers to order WS SFs, but only a few sculpts at a time are offered. I believe you can also contact them to have baked skin from what I can tell.

I'm really struggling with whether to buy WS May 3rd too, I really wanted May 3rd in WS, But it's not the best time, so I'm really unsure!
In the meantime, here's an awful photo of my new WS Paul girl with my WS May 1st! I really like both of them, but I need to go eye and wig shopping and I can't decide whether I want May 1st or 3rd. ^^

I'm so angry at myself - I just missed the November order period, and Jaden was an available sculpt! Was actually planning on getting it on a girl Jr. body. I wonder if they'll offer a sculpt more than once a year!

 

@hobbywhelmed Awww too bad But yes, they don't just offer it once a year. May was one of the first in August, and is up in December again. So you will have to wait a few months...

Wow, great to know Sodabeentjes. My BF tiny plans has gone through its own upheaval recently, so now I may be eyeing for the Hana to come out again ^^; . I have my May doll on the Junior body right now, but after a lot of thinking, I decided I really want it on the SF body and to get a different doll on the Junior body instead, in the taaannn.

Speaking of Hana, any pictures of Hana would be well-appreciated now =) . I haven't seen many owner pictures of it, but it's the only other SF head I like aside from May. Especially if it's on Junior body and/or tan (I'm not even sure if tan Hana exists, haha), I would be so stoked.

Any ideas on when SF bodies will be offered separately again? It kills me to have to change my mind after all the hassle I went through, but I want to replace my May's Junior body with the SF now.

I got an answer to my inquiry about the order periods:

 

OMG thanks hobbywhelmed it's awesome to hear such concrete news on the topic! Since May is up for December, which was released on the first pre-order along with Hana, Hana must be coming up again soon too. I'll have to make a concrete decision before then.

I'm still not clear on how tan skin works with the new system though; they offered it as just another option shortly during their free choice pre-orders, and I thought I read somewhere that for this new system, we should message them and ask if we want a doll in tan.

I didn't ask about tan, but I would like to get a tan Jr. myself sometime.

 

Grrr, since the May is coming out in December... now I'm really freaking out because I'm considering that it would be easier to just buy a new May on the SF body to replace the May I have, and then selling my Jr May as a fullset. I'm sure I'd lose at least $100, maybe $200, by having to resell it, but guh. The WS TF I bought just a few months after this May already has a noticeably different color than my May WS, which is just weird, and I know I'll hate it so much if I have ANOTHER doll whose head and body color don't match. I still get upset when I see my tan TF boy with the mismatched colors OTL .

I have about a week to decide, I guess. Feeling really stupid, right now, haha. My mind even contemplated just getting a third doll instead of replacing the May, but no way can I add yet another to my list!

The middle girl still hasn't told me her name. Maybe Yesma, or Yenna. That would work really well with Yara and Yaëlle.
They will have Linus for sale this month. I'm thinking she might look adorable on the Junior body I still have spare. But I can't find ANY ownerpics of her... Someone on here who has a Linus? They also will have Minimay for sale (of topic) I have a weakness for her too... (how surprising, me loving a May!) So not sure yet what I'm going to do...
