Blue Fairies of Bluefairy - Bluefairy SD sized dolls Discussion

My plans have changed too.
I planned to keep BC Carla head but now, I think I won't anymore. LOL

I almost ordered a few days ago a doll from another company but I think it was good that I started to hesitate because of the doll's wide nose... So, I didn't order him after all... thank you Bluefairy, I am so looking forward for more of this new line's dollies

 

Doll plan changed here too! Diana grows on me so fast once I realized she is a Big May.......(the word "May" affects a lot LOL) Sad that I have just bought a YOSD and now I have no more fund for dollies! Gotta save up quick to add her into my collection.

 

Kim I think Rinon is an excellent choice to be a grown up May. I like Diana, but I agree that she doesn't look like an SD. I can't wait to see the body though, and when they release more sculpts, I'm certain that one will call to me. Particularly a big Olive.

 

I am actually not ready to have a bigger size yet, but now, after reading more blogs, she is now on the top of my to Buy list...

She looks exactly like TF May in some angles here.

Seems that Xiao and Minoru have joined an annual big scale BF doll meeting in Japan and showed off these two beauties there. Argh how much I want to be in Japan so that I can be so lucky looking at these girls so closely now!

 

It is so funny, I keep seeing more chubby cheeks on the Diana without bangs, I like the one with bangs but the one without is just too chubby... and I know they are the same sculpt. XD

I know they are not for me at this size, but I am still interested in all that Blue Fairy do.
And I am delighted to see that single joints are still produced on new dolls

For me they too alike to Musedoll...very pretty, very very pretty in fact...I just wish they had designed a totally new sculpt for the head, as I can't get past this being a GIANT May

 

It is interesting that these are named "Diana". Since in all of the other sizes they were named "May" so perhaps they started sculpting this head with a non May in mind? I mean, she is May like but also sufficiently non May like in some quality. I do see what you're saying though but May is just SO popular it is insane.

Now I am guessing the next one that will come out with be Olive like. XD

I keep trying to tell myself that I don't want to get into SDs... I have one, my favorite that I've found, and I wanted to stop there. This doll is way too immature to fit with her, and I think any BF doll would be (she looks like an adult, probably like 24?). So... I'm def trying to talk myself out of this, lol!

BUT I will still be planning to collecting TFs right and left, lol.

 

SDs really aren't my size of doll, but that doesn't make me any less excited to oogle the eyecandy that BF will surely come out with!

I've never been a big May fan so I'm safe with this girl. I'm just in trouble if they do a grown up Xiao .....

I'm excited to see what heads they make just for this size though!

 

This doll would not work with my present SD collection.....and my SD's are all of the larger head variety

My doll plans maybe change too!! I love Jasmine but cut her from my plans because she's MSD size.
I think she can't match with my BJD style (I like SD size more than MSD size)
If Jasmine release in SD size I may add Jasmine back to plans T _______ T

So confused, I will keep eyes on next "Blue Fairy" head mold.

Same sentiments here. I mainly have 60cm dolls in my collection, but the larger BF dolls look amazing! I hope that they release them soon. Also, where exactly on the Blue Fairy site can everyone see these dolls?

The dolls are lovely, but I do not want to have them (thank goodnes!) I'm saving for a TF Patrick (just recently decided on minis instead of 60cm range) but I'm worried, because I've been bugging Blue Fairy for SD size dolls when I was "into" SD sized dolls. "what if" they realease an SD sized Kyle? I might be back on the SD bandwagon

 

krystina, SD Kyle! I think you just made me more interested in the 60cm size. SD Kyle or SD Louis definitely.

Is anyone else wondering about this line: We hope our new beauty white skin limited edition will be loved by our customers. Are they saying it's a new resin color or do they just mean "new limited edition"?

I told my husband about the new development last night and he just said, "looks like there are a lot of games in my future!" since our deal is, my doll budget is equal to his gaming budget, lol! But yeah, super excited to see what else is coming.

I'm so happy and pleasantly surprised that BF has SD dolls now I also can't wait til they release a Louis X3

^^ This is so exciting! One thing that I always harp on is that I wish BF would update their joints.... personally, I prefer more flexible bodies and don't mind paying more for better engineering (which is what makes me a huge Fairyland fan lol). ^^ From the pictures I think they're just standard joints. But the personality of the new girl is oh-so-Bluefairy, and BF face sculpts make me die from the simple cute... I do love the outfits that BF releases with their limiteds. I wonder if they fit into standard SD13 clothes? Their bust makes me think they won't be able to squeeze into SD10 stuff. XD

she is stunning in the blue dress. I'm so used to seeing 60cm dolls being protrayed as VERY CURVY or VERY MACHO or some other VERY ADULT ADJECTIVE that I'm having a hard time looking at her and saying "yes, that is a 60cm doll"

 

OH MY GOSH! I hope this is true! I love blue fairy, but I wanted an SD version! Oh this is PERFECT!!!

A 60cm Kyle? Jerome? Either/both of these and I am utterly, utterly sunk. If never these, I'm pretty sure I'm safe. I tend to favour a different aesthetic in my larger dolls. But, oh, BF white resin is to die for!!

Dilemma! I'm safe with Diana's face but not with a 1/3 body that MAY look same as TF.

Edit: Wooot! looking at the body photo... I'm really safe now! And it's too pricey for me I still love TF body the best.

She is perfect. I know I won't be able to scrounge up that much money within the next few days. Do you guys think that BF will be making them as standards in the future? I hope so with all my heart

I hope there will be basic Blue Fairies too, a whole new line would be so great, but this particular one is so beautiful and price is acceptable for a limited SD ! I like that eyes are 20 mm, her head should not be too small and the single joints are a must for me (double joint hater here ^^).
I think I will rather wait for a white skin May Tiny Fairy though but I do know I will regret not ordering Your Diana ^^.

 

kanondreamer - It is possible that Bluefairy's new limited dolls come as a basic dolls later (like those pocket fairies pepper/sugar bodies which were preorder first but then you can now buy them too) so just have some patience ! :--D

The body kinda confuses me, it looks so much like tinyfairy's body but I can still see there are differences! XD
I guess I am safe (barely!!), but when there will be more BlueFairies, someday I'll have one...! (are these SD's really called BlueFairies or did I misread something?)

 

Okay, safe, but only because SDs aren't really my thing. She sure is lovely though, I look forward to owner pics.

I think BF knows that they have the best white skin in the world and that we all wait like hawks for them to release ws dolls, lol.

 

I'm agreeing with Kim, these will look good with Volks SD's. ^^ Both are kinda big headed, I'm sure they'll fit fabulously in with your Volks gang.

I like the body, I hope the boobs look better in this size (I've found some clothing a bit difficult to make for TF blossom since, well the boobs are shaped like... uummm... pyramids?), hips are really nice. Single joints are not a problem for me, most of my favourite bodies, like Delf girl, have single joints and I do like them very much. I'm curious about the hands and wristballs as much as I'm interested to see the mechanics of their ankle balls too.

shibya, Yes, this line seems to be Blue Fairy. I find that really cute!

If I'd have the finances, I might fall for I am Diana set. But since I haven't I'll be waiting for the basics or some other molds. ^^ Jasmine, Gus and Louis based SD Blue Fairy would look more mature, different face up might also do the trick for Diana.

 

The price of this limited is prohibitive for me, but understandable. I'm interested to see what the basic price will be, and which heads they come out with next.

Its funny, the body does look just like a supersized MSD blossum body! the only difference that stands out to me is that the head is less large in comparison to the body for the SD version vs. the MSD version.

I wish they'd release more heads in thier 25/26ish cm line before releasing a whole new size. But perhaps the small size wasn't selling well.

 

Compare to the TF blossom body I think her hips seem to look a bit fuller? Could be photo illusion?

Why oh why Blue Fairy has to have such chubby Volks alike body and baby face -[]-
I personally prefer SD size with more mature looking.

And I'm super glad that Diana is May like, not Olive or Jasmine, or else I would go crazy and order Your Diana without having to think and completely broke for a few months. LOL
I like May but May is not my most favorite, except for SF May which is unacceptably too cute to bare >w<

Hoping to see Olive and Jasmine like Blue Fairies soon, or maybe some brand new molds!

skyealloway : I think they should be releasing SF Connie pretty soon. Maybe along with some other new SFs.

 

Kim : I understand what you mean, Kim. I've seen some Volks SD dolls whose owner face up and style them to look mature but they seem odd to me with chubby child like bodies especially when dress in fashion model like outfits. I adore SD doll with model long legs like Unoa Zero or SD16 XD

 

If you subtract the average price of the wig and shoes, along with the dress her price comes to 450-600. Im planning for her as of now!

 

I love them! But, since I am unsure about the white resin (don't have any white resin dolls in my collection), I'll probably wait until NS releases. I do want to try white resin, but will start with something smaller, like a pocket fairy or puki. I hope they release standard editions soon!

 

Blue Fairy white resin is utterly delightful, I just got a WS Jasmine and I can't get over how beautiful it is

 

Jane, could I bother you for a comparison picture between white and normal bluefairy resin, please?

 

Anna : Agreed with Jane. Bluefairy WS is very beautiful creamy color. Not flat white. Photographed beautifully.

turbow thank you for that! Ack and here I thought I was safe from this release! These Bluefairy SDs are right up my alley - I love the proportions and they'd fit right in with the rest of my SD girls, which all have bigger heads (Delfs, Volks Megu and CH Choa).

Forgot to ask, how does BF white resin age?

Jane : MistyRose is easy to photograph but sadly I never saw Bluefairy released doll with this resin in their main site. So far, they only release doll with MistyRose resin for MinoruWorld and Sora*Iro.....
