* How was the communication? Fast, friendly, business-like and clear. Everything was explained, in easy to understand directions on the website, once my order was placed I received an e-mail from Medusa herself each time a payment was made.
* How easy was it to pay? Paypal payments as linked via the web site. She also let me pay on my schedule, making it so I could get the doll in about 2 weeks earlier than I'd planned.
* How long did it take to ship? Once my last payment was made the doll shipped immediately. I had him in 3 days via USPS Priority Mail with insurance. Late October 2010
* Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Absolutely, first off, because I'm buying from an American firm I felt better, but mostly because the price was in-line or better than most of the similar BJD SD dolls

* How was the communication? Awesome. Medusa contacted me after I made the order, telling me she would ship the wig after the payment had cleared. Then again, when the payment went through, she told me that she had shipped it. :3

* How long did it take to ship? After a week's wait for the echeck to clear, Medusa shipped it on Nov. 2nd. I received the wig today-Nov. 12th, so it took 8 business days, I think.

I'm happy to add to this thread for my first purchase from Blueblood Dolls. I got one of their brand-new wigs (the shorter purple one). I was stunned by how quickly it was shipped; the quality is *excellent* and communication was also friendly and excellent!

* How was the communication? Absolutely amazing. She answered all my emails promptly and was extraordinarily helpful and patient.

Medusa agreed to do a custom face-up based off some pictures and drawings I have of an original character that the doll is to be. When I saw the exact right shade of blue eyes on the site, I asked if I could request those for him, but said that I'd be happy to pay extra for those eyes if it wasn't possible. She said it was no problem to put the eyes I wanted in without extra cost. She even emailed me to apologize for taking an extra day before shipping him (posting him Monday instead of Saturday) to get the face-up right as she didn't like the way the eyebrows were turning out. In my opinion, Medusa went above and beyond.

* How easy was it to pay? Paypal made it very easy.

* How long did it take to ship? 9 days from when she posted him, but I'm in Canada and Customs held him hostage for 3 days *grumbles*. Medusa shipped him on the day she said she would and promptly emailed the tracking number, too.

* Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? I'm blown away by the quality of the doll. Stands like a rock straight out of the box, no seam lines, gorgeous face-up in the style I'd asked for, wonderful tone/translucent quality to the resin and the quality of the outfit is very good and I'm amazed that she offers that choice for free when you buy a doll.

* Did the item look like the sales pictures? The company pics are lovely, but the in-person view is even better. I can't get over how spectacular he looks.

Originally, Basic Valentine with C combo package, but once I got to talking with Medusa later on, I mentioned wanting that long black jacket the Special Valentine had come with... and she said she had one Special Valentine that had just become available that week, due to a cancellation.
SO! I ended up with a Special Valentine, and since I'd already been imagining my boy with those clothes I'd chosen for the combo package, we added those onto the order as well. I ended up with three sets of clothing, two wigs, two pair of eyes, and my boy - and she even left off the eyelashes per my request.

* When did you order? 10Jan11 - set up for six month lay away, but ended up only taking about five weeks.

* How was the communication? Excellent! Replies were always fast, and Medusa was always friendly and easy to deal with!

* How easy was it to pay? Paypal - easy. (Probably a bit tooooo easy! )

* How long did it take to ship? He was sent out the day after I paid in full! Paid Monday, shipped Tuesday, arrived Friday!

* Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Absolutely! The engineering on the joints is just wonderful! The luminosity of the resin is much like French resin, and they are solid/hefty guys even though they look light. Posing is a breeze. They come snugly strung, no need to restring - just straight out of the box, ready to play!

* Did the item look like the sales pictures? As mentioned before: Much Better! I'd been watching Blue Blood since they opened, but was never convinced to take the plunge, until I held a Waltz in my own hands... and was completely smitten. I went home that very day, and ordered my Valentine.

How was the communication? wonderful!! the outfit set I liked was sold out, so Medusa let me pick seperates I liked instead. Communication was excellent and fast before, during and after the sale.

How long did it take to ship? I paid him off on Friday, he shipped Saturday and I got him on Tuesday. I was in shock! He went from California to Kentucky in ONE business day, since monday was July 4th holiday and PO was closed!
Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? yes! My total, including shipping, was $438 for 62cm doll, fur wig, glass eyes, jeans, jacket, tshirt. He poses great and is gorgeous

What did you order? Waltz with default face up, medium length blond wig, boots, and outfit set #114 on a 4-month layaway.
When did you order? The final payment was paid on the 9th.
How was the communication? Very good. Medusa always responded within 24 hours, and she was incredibly sweet. The first outfit I wanted was sold out so she told us whenever she was getting ready to stock new outfits.
How easy was it to pay? Very.
How long did it take to ship? She shipped it on the tenth, and it arrived on the twelfth (today!). It was much faster than I expected.
Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Yes, absolutely! Waltz is a beautiful doll, and the clothes are very high quality, as is the wig. The double jointing is easy to get to (though sometimes it takes a bit of time if it's inside of the joint) and very aesthetically pleasing. He poses great and stands solidly.
Did the item look like the sales pictures? Much better, actually. Pictures don't do him justice. The face up is gorgeous.
Were you satisfied with the product? Very, very satisfied.
Would you order from this company again? I do have my eye on Silver... but I don't know if it'll ever come of anything. If I wasn't already saving for other dolls, I think I probably would get another.

Oh my goodness yes! Waltz is my very first doll, so I can't compare him to others, but he is really solid, stands straight out of the box, double jointing is superb, and the outfit, wig and boots he came with were of really good quality as well! He doesn't even have seams!

I received my Waltz on the twelfth, and (somehow) broke his knee double joint a week to the day. I emailed Medusa and asked if she had the part in stock and how much it would cost. She didn't have it in stock (as something you can get) but she took one off of the dolls in her inventory and said she would send it to me for free. She also sent a restringing hook that she made.

I got the package today, and she shipped it on the twentieth. She says that she'll send me pictures for how to restring him/switch the joints by Friday, I think.

She's just so sweet, throughout all of this. She offered pictures, a hook, and the joint, all free of charge

I'm sorry, Medusa for taking so long to review! It was my second order from BBD within a span of a few weeks and I didn't have much to change as far as my opinion of the company.

* What did you order? LE Geisha Draven fullset with body blushing (last one!), outfit sets, eyes, wigs, shoes
* When did you order? Nov 2010
* How was the communication? Very fast, and I had questions to ask about body blushing. Responses came within hours, if that.
* How easy was it to pay? Easy with Paypal.
* How long did it take to ship? 4 days (even with body blushing added), and it came in a single box with no change to the shipping price even with all the extras (and there were many).
* Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Yes a hundred times over. She even gave surprise free gifts with the order and better geta than what were in the pictures.
* Did the item look like the sales pictures? Better.
* Were you satisfied with the product? Yes! The doll had elf ears (yay!) and some seriously tight stringing that helped him pose beautifully right out of the box. He needs no sueding or any other mods to strike or hold a pose.The elastic is high quality and tough; I know since I tried to restring him because the knees were a little squeaky from the tension and I was worried they would scratch themselves if I didn't loosen it. I wasn't able to restring him but he doesn't need it as long as I'm not pretending to have Draven run a marathon. I can't say enough about the knee and elbow joints - they're smooth and not scary-looking when you bend them like some dolls, and they're half the reason I jumped to buy a second doll as soon as I did. The body is well-built and a little on the heavier side, which mainly gives the impression that it's durable, not that it's awkward or unwieldy. The resin is something between matte and shiny, almost luminous. The body blushing is subtle and beautifully done (and FAST) in colors that complement the doll's skin tone, and the fingernails and toes had clear polish, so it was almost like Draven had a mani/pedi. The clothes, shoes, and wigs were well-worth what I paid for them; no defects, rips or tears even a year after having and using them. It's not flimsy crap.
* Would you order from this company again? Yes, especially if Medusa sculpts some girl bodies.

How was the communication? Great! They accidentally sent me the wrong boots (1/3 size) but I emailed and they sent me the proper ones. I asked what I should do with the boots that were wrongly sent and she said I could keep them if it was too hard to get to the post office or of course to send them back and she'd reimburse my shipping. I took a couple days to think about it and then emailed to ask if I could pay for them instead and she discounted them to about half price.

I actually think the price is pretty low for glass eyes of this quality, so it was a really good deal. They were $28 shipped.

Really much prettier in person! They’re very deep and luminous and don’t have any air bubbles or noticeable flaws. Their pictures are also very clear and well lit, and they show you what the eyes look like in a doll which a lot of eye sellers don’t do.

Very satisfied, it’s actually pretty difficult to find reasonably realistic-looking eyes for a character with albinism so I’m hopeful that they’ll fit the guy I have on the way.

Yes, their eyes are beautiful and well-packaged (custom boxes with custom-cut foam on both sides of the eyes, the box likes to pop open but that’s not much of an issue once they’re in the doll, right?), the item shipped really quickly, the communication was good, the shipping was inexpensive with tracking which was provided promptly… oh, and the price was a steal.

Super customer care! I've had lots of good customer service, but this ranks right at the top!
I ordered a pair of grey shoes. I got an immediate charge back on my PayPal and then a nice email from Medusa apologizing that the last pair had sold. I wrote back and said that if the shoes came back in stock I would love to pre-order a pair.
Medusa contacted China, placed and order for the shoes which was not large enough to meet the shipper's demands, got the order combined with a larger order coming to the US! All this to get a customer who had not ordered from the website before a pair of shoes!!! Amazing.
