Shopping Blocked From TaoBao

    1. I know a lot of people buy things from Taobao and I’m really interested in doing so as well. The problem that I’ve run into when I created an account about a year or so ago is that my account got blocked whenever I tried to log back in, so now Taobao has my personal phone number and I can’t make a new account.

      I did some research and it seems that North American accounts get blocked. I wanted to ask if there is anyway around this for creating a new account and how all of you are able to shop on there?

    2. It's not the best solution but you can browse taobao through some agent sites like Bhiner and Spreenow without having a Taobao account. I find their search functions have a lot of irrelevant items in them but it's better than nothing. I'm not sure why you were blocked since they let me make an account with an Australian phone number :S I'm sorry I couldn't be more helpful. It's possible you could make an Alipay account with a "Tour pass" and login with that Alipay account but I'm not certain.

    3. I have checked out the proxy services but it’s definitely really annoying how hard it is to find items on those sites, especially with the irrelevant stuff.

      I’ll check out the alipay account. At this point I’m open to any options.

    4. It happened to me, too! I downloaded google voice and signed up again with a new number :evilplot: And downloaded the taobao app so I can use the QR code to login

    5. Did that work for you with google voice? My number and account also got frozen while trying to sign up/log in. :eek:

    7. The same thing has happened to me. It says blocked because of a violation but I literally just tried to create the account and it’s never let me log in. So frustrating.

    8. I've seen people succeed after calling CS. You have to call though, they have the number on the website or you can google it. Also, you can try with the app. I'm gonna do that too, it's easier than the website mostly cause it doesn't show "error" every 5 minutes. :XD:

    9. I can search on google and look at things on Taobao that way. I just can’t log in to the site itself. I’m in the U.K. so don’t think calling them is worth it ( and would be expensive lol)
