BJD planning? Paper?! Help!

You could try a carpentry store, or somewhere like a construction supplies store. I'm not 100% sure though... I've never bought one before!

 

Try the sections for architecture or computers instead of art, or math... usually at the college union- but i have seen smaller graph paper at wal-mart. Also try the children's drawing section, as sometimes kids use graph paper to enlarge pictures.

 

Office supply store often carry graph paper, as do art stores.

My local places only carry inch ruled paper with smaller units.
I've been looking for metric ruled paper without much luck.

But I have a free program which will make all different kinds of graph paper, but not easy to find on my computer. Maybe Googling free graph paper program?

I just used the newsprint I had been using for drawing class. It's 60cm long so it worked out just perfect. I was too cheap to go get graph paper.

 

I recommend the paper with the little squares, the normal kind. It's pretty cheap but the squares are usefull... And a bunch of scotch tape.

 

I used some paper my mother had left over from her stained glass days ^.^

It's a big sheet (more like a roll) of paper with blue 1x1 in squares on it. It's used for creating your own 'blueprint' of whatever stained glass you were going to do. See if there's a glass store anywhere near you! I find it very useful ^.^

don't laugh - but in a moment of dire frustration late at night when the stores were closed - i made a quick grid in photoshop and now just print it when i need it....

one nice thing about that - you can make the squares bigger or smaller as needed...

(and i do stupid things like taping the backs of the sheets together to get bigger pieces as needed.)

Even in shop class in High School, we had to tape sheets together to get big pieces.

at Wal*Mart they have poster paper with light gridlines. it is ment for like displays and the graph is very light so fades into the background. its in the section where the crayola stuff and posterboards are.
