I have fallen in love with so many of the little bjd pet dolls (both resin and 3D printed) and finally decided to take the plunge and get one. I chose the ElleoDolls 5cm Russian Toy Terrier unfinished one. It isn't home yet, but has been shipped. With a little work, she'll look like my own dog--the ears are perfect! Who else has pet BJDs? Any company but I'm talking actual full animals, not Anthros. Which ones do you have? Best and worst things about them? Share a picture?
I don't know if they count as off topic or not or if they fit in here with the other cuties you mentioned, (all of which I absolutely adore by the way) but I just ordered one of the Iplehouse Bull Terrier's when they came out. So not home yet, but I'm hoping to get one of their Bostons too. And I really want an Elleo Rottweiler one day. So yeah, sorry no pics yet, since I haven't gotten her home yet, but I really want a lot of pet dolls to keep my dolls company. XD
They definitely do count! I hadn't seen them before, but they are so cute. I would love to see pictures once you get her home.
Awesome and absolutely, I will most definitely pop in and post pics as soon as she arrives. I'd wanted an Elleo Bull Terrier for the longest time, but couldn't afford the size I wanted and then Iple came out with their's and it was perfect timing because I'd just sold a body I no longer wanted. I'm so excited already and it's gonna be a while. I'm way too impatient and this will be so different to the only other animals dolls I have, which are a Doll Chateau Snail, a Dollzone Big Dipper and a ResinSoul Dog (which is anthro) so I can't wait to own a realistic and what looks like a very posable pet. The way the Elleo ones seem to pose makes me wish more than ever I could get one, someday hopefully. But as soon as I have even one pic to share I will spam my little Skylar everywhere. hehe
I love everything Paper Sakura Group makes! Also Dearmine (although most of theirs are on-topic?) I thought my bunny and deer were like regular dolls, but their profiles were removed so apparently not- which means I can post them in this thread! Here they are! I hope these posted okay. I'm not used to forums where you can't directly input the codes. >_> These are Doll Leaves Lulu with company makeup and Paper Sakura Group Sakura Meng Ruby with makeup by me. I want a tiny otter bjd so badly; I hope someone makes one..! ^^;
@ArcaneDesires awww you have the snail! I love snails so much. I really like the DC snail but he's a little too human for me to buy him. I've felt the same about most pet dolls being out of my budget but the dog I ordered was only $170 with shipping since I got the smallest and not the completed option. @sprinkles Your pet dolls are both so cute, I really love the bunny. It's precious!
@CloakedSchemer I do! I fell so in love with him the minute I saw him, I actually kinda like snails in real life too and it was around my birthday when he was first offered so I ordered him. But yeah, he is quite human more than anything. I think that's part of why I like it, it's kinda weird and odd and I love that. But it'll be nice to have a truly animal looking BJD pet. I can't wait to see your one as well, I'm really fond of the Toy Terrier's that Elleo has, they are so well done and cute. If it's not completed does that mean it has no blushing? Are you gonna do that yourself then? I really want to get one and paint it myself just because I love doing that, but I wanted something that would be somewhat in scale with my two fav dolls and the only ones I could afford till now were the really small ones. Although my Iple one will still be pretty small compared to my dolls. She'll just have to be a very young pupif I photograph her with them maybe. lol @sprinkles Aww your bunny is adorable! And that Deer is amazing. I love the paint work, she's beautiful. I've always been a fan of those little cuties so thanks for sharing yours!
I'm new to the hobby and didn't even know these were a thing! there are so many adorable cats and I want them alllll. ElleoDolls are absolutely adorable and I will have to get one in scale to my first doll when I get one...
@ArcaneDesires my first pet was a snail, and I just suffered the loss of a pet snail this week. They're cool little dudes. The terrier I got is blank. She's 3D printed in white, and I'll be painting her myself. (And modding bc it's clearly a boy but I need a girl.) I think it will also be unstrung and may need sanding but I'm not sure. The completed ones were so precious but they only had tan or brown/black options and my own dog is white with a black head and pink spotted belly and toes, so buying blank was the best option to look like her. Most of my dolls are SD and the dog is closer to correct scale for 30cm dolls, so I'm thinking she might be ok as a teeny tiny dog for my Minifee, but I'll also be ok just having her even if she is separate from the main crew. My mom made a tiny dog bed for her. @thanatoaster the first ones I saw were the EveStudio hairless cats about 2-3 years ago, and I love them! A friend has one, and another friend has one of the other ones. I'm more of a dog person, and seeing a terrier who looks so much like my baby made me need one. I've also seen owner pix of the ferret and it's so cute. I'm hoping these little animals won't be as addictive as the dolls themselves, but they might...
I just received my two Dearmine Gorgis recently, I'll post pictures when I get a chance!! I plan on getting them painted like my two irl Corgis!
I had to go look these guys up, I thought all Dearmine dolls were anthros and I am pleasantly surprised! Very cute. I'm seeing so many cute pet dolls I didn't know existed, I don't know if this is fantastic or dangerous. XD
Eve Studio and Elleo pets in the "unfinished" versions are not blushed or painted and unstrung. Good luck with all those teeny, tiny parts!
Thanks, I'll need it, I'm sure. It should be ok, though, since I would have needed to unstring anyway to paint her like I want and do the mod.
Oh gosh, that bunny is too cute! I'm a sucker for anything cat-related, though so far I just have off-topic anthro cats. I love looking at them, though...
Though she doesn't like being called a pet I do have an aileendoll ashes, from the limited sakura release. She is the cute lil dolly in my avatar, but here is another pic of her: My favorite thing about these dragons is that all their mouths move! I want to get some more of their dragons but I'm not sure who...
I, too, have recently decided I need an Eve cat. The Elleo cats are gorgeous, and of course I want one (?) of them too, but money. I love the oriental look of the Eve cats. They have a video series on their site showing the process of manufacturing the resin cats. It's so much work! I just need to decide what cat I want. It seems you can order just a few select models, so I want to write them and find out what their offerings are. My big question is, what size to get?! They have a size chart on their site which is helpful, but it doesn't allow you to enter in a custom size to compare to their cats. I'll have to play around with it. I want to know what is good for 35 cm and MSD size (two sizes). Anneko, what off-topic cat dolls do you have ? Feel free to pm me if you would like to. I love cat dolls but don't want to hijack the thread!
My Elleo terrier is 5cm and they suggested it is in scale with 30-35cm dolls, so maybe that's what you would want in a cat? I would think a cat should be about the same size as a toy terrier.
If you click on Human Proportions in the size comparisons, you can tweak quite a bit. I used it to see what the cats would look like in comparison to 60, 62 and 65 cm dolls, and it goes all the way up to 70.
::tries to include quotes and mind explodes:: @iamkathybrown @CloakedSchemer Thank you for your responses! I did go back and fool around with the sizing tool and I think you're right, 5cm seems to be a good size. Now I just have to figure out how I want kitty to look!
@orinoco_flow Yeah, quotes are a mess. I followed other people's lead and put them at the end. It's easier.
@CloakedSchemer So sorry I flaked in replying till now... One of my best friends from when I was a kid used to have African Land Snails as pets, man they were so cute! I loved them completely. So, so sorry to hear of your loss (I know I'm late with this, again sorry) but my DC snail sends internet snail hugs for you. I just saw the pic of your little Minni and she is absolutely adorable! And that's awesome that your mom made her a dog bed, that's so cute! I'm going to try and find or make a bed and some toys and things for my newly arrived baby. So in the interests of contributing, here's my beloved Skylar who arrived a couple of days ago, man Iplehouse did an amazing job on these dogs of theirs, I only wish I could have gotten a Boston too. I want one so bad now! Skylar by ArcaneDesires, on Flickr
@ArcaneDesires Skylar looks fantastic! Great photo too. Did he come with those eyes? They're perfect. I don't know if an octopus would be considered a pet, unless you're an Otto and Victoria fan, but here's Mushroom Peddler's Sir Octavius Von Tentacle with another "pet", Reptile Doll's Lucas. It's easier being green when you have a friend by Nadine, on Flickr
@ArcaneDesires *gasp* African Land Snails?? Aren't they the ones that get as big as your arm? I haven't had the pleasure of meeting one of those. My sweet Cinnamon Bun was a Nerite Zebra freshwater snail, and he was smaller than a dime. It was hard losing him, but he's buried in a little box in the flower bed and has a concrete marker shaped like a snail. Awww, your dog is so cute! I keep looking at Iplehouse pets. I kind of want one. Maybe a cat. My sister keeps looking at the Bostons, since her real dog is half Boston. If you want to make a bed like Minnie's, it's simply a tupperware dish cut shorter then wrapped in fabric, with a round pillow inside and a round piece of felt on the bottom. I didn't watch my mom make it, so I'm not certain of the steps, but I think a crafty person with a bowl, some fabric, some stuffing and a hot glue gun could probably make something very similar. @phanuel Yes! Your octopus definitely counts! One of my friends has one of those little guys in the tan skin. They're so cute, and I love what you've done with yours. Your chameleon is a cutie too, but I'm partial to the octopus.
Wanted to share another photo of my Gorgis (though I'm trading one for the new smile version)! I purchased some of those bracelet straps to make them as collars, they're a tad big and so is the bell, but it works for me! xD
Oh, I love pet dolls!! Nice to have a place to share them Albion Rarebit, my Tamdoll Petlovers rabbit, and my three Tamdoll kittens Albion Rarebit by Ashbet, on Flickr An armful of kittens by Ashbet, on Flickr My Evedolls cat, Pau (8cm Oriental): Pau by Ashbet, on Flickr Miette by Ashbet, on Flickr With Miette, my Littlefee Pukisha: Miette and Pau by Ashbet, on Flickr Spike and Mushu, my Aileendoll Seed and Rot: Family Reunion! by Ashbet, on Flickr I love this thread -- it's so nice to have a place to see petdolls! -- A P.S. I do have one "petdoll" who hasn't had an official introduction yet (I'm not quite done -- did his minimalist face-up, but I need to paint and blush his claws), but my friend @Rorek took a shot of his Ichigo (Volks Ko-Tenshi Tsubaki) riding my IpleHouse Panther, who still needs a name. He'll get a name when I'm done with the customization and ready to take some portraits!
I have some Elleo Dolls! I am planning on getting more 1:12 scale dolls for my mom from them. I first got a corgi and I am now saving up for their tree druid!
I have Kazari cat and Ruby rabbit from Sakura&Paper ^^ Currently waiting for Eve Studio Tarantula and definitely would like to buy one day one of their cats. They're just perfect and very realistic. @Ashbet Love your Panther
Sorry to post my Gorgis again, but I traded one of my basic Gorgis for a smile version since it matched one of my Corgis better! Zelda & Kairi by Tina, on Flickr
I got my first Eve Studio pet doll yesterday (as a raw parts kit) - the Snake! So glad they finally made one Eve Studio Snake by Zaliayn, on Flickr I definitely need to get myself one of their Sphynx cats too!
@Zaliayn Wow, he looks great! Or it will be she snake? ;] Now I even more can't wait to get my spider.
I have 1 Angel Studio Pet, and 3 of the Angel Studio Little Animals, seen here: Angel-Studio Pets by Sarah Koch, on Flickr (Left to right: Little Mouse (pet), Llama, Panda, and Pig) I also have a Doll Family A Pan in pink, but I don't have any photos of her.
So many cute pet dolls! I find myself wanting one more and more now! I was really enamored with Tendres Chimeres' Jubilee the Humpback Whale, and if I had had the funds I would have gotten her right then and there. One day I'll have my galaxy whale! *patiently sits back in thread to drool over pictures*
I LOVE those lizards... I'm definitely staying away from the website or else I'd buy all of them! Haha.
@Dark Angel, Since I originally posted I've found out that both the octopus and the lizards are on-topic! And, yeah, it was hard to pick just one reptile, all so cute.
I have rabbit and hamster from Sakura&Paper. They are cute little guys. I like to photo them in different styles Wizards
I want a pet for my girls, but they all seem to be add much as a regular doll. How can I find one for less than $100
I've ended up with quite a few little "creatures" in the crew... My favorite has to be Madison the shape-shifting Familiar's "miniature giant spider" form, though. She's an Eve Studio Tarantula. (Seen here perched on the shoulder of Human!Madison, an Iple SID Cherie) Most of the time she hangs out on top of Shonokin's hat. I also have a "chibi" version of Spider!Madison to go along with the little YoSD chibi/5-year-old version of Shonokin. She's a Mushroom Peddler Tuffet. Like her larger counterpart, she usually hangs out on top of Chibi!Shonokin's hat. (Alas, Clyde wasn't wearing his hat when I took this picture, so alternate transportation arrangements had to be made. XD)
When I was working on the chibi version of Shonokin, I knew I was going to have to come up with *something* for a chibi version of his familiar, too. It just was NOT going to do to have him without having Madison in some form... Finding Tuffet when I did was perfect timing.
Back to share my painted pups!! Super smitten with them! Zelda & Kairi by Tina, on Flickr Zelda & Kairi's return by Tina, on Flickr

Took my little pups to the bay area last week and we had a BLAST! I have those pages bookmarked. I WANT TWO OF THEM SO BAD!!! I have two corgis. i just can't get over how adorable they all are. Thank you taking such cute close ups
Ah, it won't let me edit my last post to add the quotes, I was too excited to properly post! I didn't realize they were on topic now. I somehow missed this post when I caught up on this forum. I am going to have to definitely save up for the octopus! I can't seem to find pets that are cheaper, especially not jointed dolls, whether they are resin or 3d printed. You might be able to find figurines that can be the right scale. You could figure out how big it needs to be and then buy them that way. It wouldn't be as customizable, or jointed.
Hehehe YESYESYES! I have two also and got them painted to look like my girls! They're such cute little resin pups!
@crazykimochi Beautiful photos! And is that Baker Beach I spy?! My sister lives right next to it. @SapphireStargazer Jewel and Tyler look like the best of friends - such a perfect pair!
@Azael Hehe, first two are from Half Moon Bay, last one is Baker Beach! I had no idea it was a nude beach... I just wanted a picture of the GG bridge! Hahhahaha! :p
@crazykimochi *laughs* Yeah it's unofficially a nude beach or something like that depending on how far you go. At least you managed to snag a nice picture! XD And apparently one near Half Moon Bay too, last time we went - I think we were near grey whale beach. We were mostly just surprised, and did our best to keep the camera away from his direction. XD
@Azael Ahhh really?! Thankfully no nudies where we were, hahahah!! I did manage to catch a REALLY NICE SHOT of the GG, it's one of my favorite bridges, I hope to walk across it with my daughter when she's older! I want to live in the bay area, I just financially can't yet! T__T To stay on-topic, here's another shot of the resin pups, this one was at Baker Beach~
Hi. I was wondering if anyone knows a company that makes bird pets? i found one on ebay but the $20-$30 price is rather suspicious. i'm not having much luck finding the original company though. i can't get photobucket to cooperate with me so here's a direct link to the listing on ebay, if that's okay to do.. EDIT: i was pm'd and told what I'm looking for is Sakura & Paper's Little Bird pet. And since the link i posted was to a recast i have removed the link.
