I've seen things like this on other forums; google searches for BJDs! They can be actual searches you've done recently about dolls (ex. My most recent dolly search was for a Ninodoll Bada) or about your doll characters (ex. I had to look up seal eyesight, because Ilya is a selkie). For a little more fun, you can do pretend searches too! Like dear Google..."why does my boy insist on smacking himself whenever I try to pose his hand near his face???" or "how to make my doll understand that restringing is good for him?" Have fun!
Oh! My most recent google search, relating to my dolls, was on wolf pack structure and behaviour. For my doll Lydia, a precious werewolf. Oh, and a search for earlier DollZone sculpts, I was looking to buy second hand!
I recently purchased a Loongsoul Nuan Nuan. While deciding if I would buy her I wanted to see her body and joints. So I searched "Nude Nuan Nuan pictures". I had to modify that search.....
When I first got into BJDs I told my dad about them being asian dolls. Now since I'm quite a fanatic for J-culture, he went ahead and googled "Japanese dolls" apparently a lot of the silicone adult dolls turned up instead! Embarrassing. Luckily the misunderstanding was easily rectified with a... correct search. And for the normal stuff i've been searching? Yo-sd centaurs. I'm struggling to find one that isn't limited or out of my price range and I'm not the biggest fan of the resin soul ones x_x
My last google search relating to BJD's was how to say the word "Shoes" In Chinese. I was trying to figure out how to use taobao lmao XD
I did a search the other day to find the correct way to spell the word "poseability". I was writing a post for my doll blog and my spell check didn't like that word.
I just recently looked up 'Bjd pink sparkly eyes' just to see what was put there for one of my dolls. This then led to many 'making Bjd eyes, 'Bjd eye tutorials'. Now I think I will try and make a pair myself. I'm always searching google for bjds, just to look at pictures.
My search for IOS Lucifer came up with very little, one photo of him and lots of IOS software crap. oh well.
"How to 3d print from Maya" since my roommate and I want to model a bjd and possibly start casting our own sculpts
I was just doing a Google search of US doll shops to look for a short dark brown boys wig in a particular style.
Well lately all my doll related google searches have been on fairies cuz of Shaylee. She is a fay and I just wanted to know as much as I can for her story. So "fairy myths" is usually what I type in .
My last search relating to bjds was on Soom's 'cave elves' Lux & Volo. Their faces are so cute and the violet skin is gorgeous.
My last search had something to do with the lifespan of mythical beings like werewolves, elves, and half-elves in comparison to humans.
My last search was for HZ Protoss which is the race that Ao Zhetian and Schuster Fei belong to, but all I get is Starcraft info. I don't think there is anything about why Protoss was specified as their race. Obviously they are a space-faring civilization because Ao Zhetian was kidnapped and taken to another planet. Oh well, if anyone finds out anything let me know.
My last search was for kid delf body hybrids since I bought a KDF head and didn't really like the KDF body easthetics~
My most recent google search for BJDs was "used 1/4 bjd" on ebay! I'm trying to look for a cheaper doll for my first bjd, but sadly they are mostly all recasts I might just have to wait until I can used the marketplace
I've looked many times for another Island Doll Sparkle (can't find one), a used Guu Doll male body for sale (also can't find one, though I did find a useful review), Korean names (after all that research, settled on one that wasn't even in the results), Korean fashion (to look more at hairstyles than clothing styles, so I could see what hair fashonable guys had), and all sorts of other things I can't remember right now.
I did a search a while back for images of Dikadoll's Tea in hopes of finding face-up pictures of her with tan skin. One of the images I found was one I'd posted of mine on Flickr!
I was playing a game with a friend to cheer her up. I don't quite remember which one of these was the last... "Spock BJD" "Batman BJD" "Bruce Wayne BJD" Only the first was successful in pulling up proper BJDs for the character. I got plenty of Joker BJDs, but... no Bruce Wayne. No love for the Batman, I see. (I did succeed in cheering her up, for the record. She was very intrigued by someone's rather... seductive take on Spock. No judgment or mockery!- just a take not much seen.)
Which is weird...because I have three Batman BJDs. I'll be honest, when I clicked on this thread I thought it was going to be google searches done by dolls. XD And I have one of those! But, I can't tell you the last thing I actually searched for not in Flickr that's BJD related.....In Flickr I looked for pictures of the Impldoll Star Male Muscle body and found all of one. Not something a lot of people own I guess.
One search I've done per doll, in the vaguest way possible: "Swedish herding call" "Constantin von Economo" "dilapidated Shinto shrine" "tanning process" "sanwuzu" (always, constantly) "his coat is its own demon please google tell me why why this" "Vissarion name mea- no, not the cultist." "Russian Sign Language" "generic name for Kevlar"
I asked Google how long a violin is... I want to make one for my doll But all I got to know was something like "there are 4/4 violins, 4/3 violins, 1/2 violins..." and so on >.< Not helpful, Google!
I've been completely sucked in by the otome game Mystic Messenger, so my most recent search was for "Mystic Messenger BJD". Also, I recently fell in love with Doll Chateau Fuya, so plenty of searches for her as well.
I've done the same thing. I used this chart and just converted the ratio using the length of my doll's arm. Unfortunately, I managed to get an out of scale violin anyway (it wasn't a 4/4, I don't think), but I think it would help for making one.
Doll Family A Susu—because I wanted to see some photos that weren't official company ones and didn't have much luck on Flickr.
