I am a very contradictory person, so not surprisingly I didn't score more than moderately on each aspect - In fact I contradicted myself so many times during the test I wasn't sure how it would figure me out LOL - But having read the myers & briggs foundation link, it is SPOT ON - me to a tee (ENFP)

 

INFP Definitely spot on.

 

It's interesting that the one person who came up as extroverted has the most to say!

 

Oh I love playing with this test for characters! I used to always do this to figure out what my favorite characters would be like or how to better write my own characters. Needless to say both my guys(dolls) have their personality types as well. Personally, I'm an ESFJ.

 

I did this years ago and still have the same one - INTJ.

 

I wonder what personality type "couldn't finish the test because YES or NO just don't cut it" is? I'll never know what I am XD *throws test out window*

ISTJ, but I could also be catagorized as INTJ, since I have marginal preference of sensing over intuition (1%) which explains my results varied before (also INTJ / ISTJ).

 

INFP... But I suspect a mod will be along shortly to close this thread. DoA seems to frown on discussions that revolve around people rather than dolls.

When I took this test a few years ago, I got INTP. I think I read somewhere that's one of the more uncommon types, but I don't remember lol. My dad took one at work and got the same XD. Filburt the turtle from Rocko' s Modern Life was listed as an example lol!

 

I took the complete test years ago and was: INTP (yes, supposedly a bit more rare)

Sometimes, on shorter versions, I get close to: INFP

Do you know what's kind of fun? If you REALLY know your doll's personality (for character dolls), you can have them take the test, too! It's a fun tool for fleshing out your story characters.

My dolls aren't that developed--but I've done that with some story characters now and then.

I got ESFJ but I have gotten also ESFP from tests of this kind. Personally i think that ESFP is closer to me.

Also, it seems that BJD's attract introverted people mostly. Not surprising, but still funny, as most BJD hobbyists I know personally are extroverts.

I wonder if most of the convention goers are extroverts.

It seems INTJ is supposed to be 2-4% of the population. We already have 7 out of 32 (I think).
Also, INFJ is supposed to be 1-3% of the population, yet we have 7 of those so far.
Maybe that says something about BJD hobbyists. The more rare types of introverts are drawn to it.
So far we have two rare extroverts, too (ENTJ at 2-5% of the population).

the I is definitely true, but for the rest I'm not sure. I answered less than half of the questions with absolute certainty the rest was "errrrrrrrr I guess".

edit: looking at the definitions on myersbriggs, I think INFP would fit me much better.

I think bringing characters to life is a draw for a lot of collectors but I personally don't do stories or characters to go along with my dolls. I tend to have a particular type of fascination with intricately detailed things and artistry which draws me to them that I think might be more of an introvert trait though.

 

I'm INTJ...This does not come as a surprise. The description is exactly how I am.

I'm an INFP, though in my early teens I was an INFJ. (I've become a bit more spontaneous over time.)

I got ENFP! I was and wasn't surprised to see one other person on here with the same! I was surprised because when I glanced over the pages I saw it was Mostly I---'s and I was just a bit surprised to see another E--- with the exact same combo.

I wasn't really surprised to see mostly I's though since this hobby is where most of my own (though few) introverted tendencies come out. I personally know that quite a few people involved in the BJD hobby are introverts and I knew it would be very noticeable in the test specifically on a message board/forum. A lot of people, my friends included, that are introverted but involved in large hobbies like BJD's are able to really get involved through this kind of media because it's comfortable. I won't be surprised if the overall results heavily favor introverts at the end.

It makes me really glad to have forums like DOA though because it's helped connect me to some pretty cool people I might not have otherwise ever really come in contact with socially!

I've taken that test before and am ISFJ.

 

I was an INTP when I took it a while ago. I got a different one this time, but only by a bit so I'm sticking with INTP. And yeah, it's not too surprising to me that most people on here appear to be introverted lol.

INFJ here. Which is probably the same or close to what I was the last time I came across this test and took it.

My problem is I have just enough knowledge about how psychology and psychiatry works, that I have to watch that I don't start trying to dissect and analyze the questions, lol.

 

My two BJDs aren't actually my own characters, but in their case, it was really fun to figure out their personality types early so you KNOW how they would be like for the rest of their respective series. It's really fun! But yes this is especially helpful when writing.

 

Another INTJ here. Interestingly, none of my dolls are INTJ. Most of them are ISXXs. Haha.

INFP I think I get this or something very similar every time I take a test like this.

 

I took this test back in my communications class when I was in college for graphic design. I was an INFJ, which seems to be common among the creative type of people (most of my classmates got it, despite it apparently being the "rarest" of the types).

 

INFP. The description seems accurate. Although it kind of sounds like a slightly improved version of me.
