EEEEEEE Olive shipped today I'm so excited I can hardly wait! : D He should be here JUST in time for a mini doll meet in my town!

 

Yay, congrats! Where did you order from?

 

I ordered him from Sunny's World c: He shipping in a little under three months, so not too bad at all. Plus I had clothes in my order, which probably made the wait longer.

 

Cool, glad to hear it! I placed my order there, too, but it's only been a couple of weeks at this point.

 

c: it'll fly by!! I ended up shopping for a lot of clothes for him though. I've got two more orders coming in from different sites so he won't be naked - u -;;

 

Aahhh, I got my olive in today!!! I'm so excited, he's the prettiest boy. I'm gonna put together a box opening shortly but I couldn't resist gushing about him. God, the beyours body is just so, so much prettier in person the photos don't do it justice.

 

Can't wait to see him!! We just added another Jumbo Size Spicy Big Dad to our crew, and it's making me long for my delicate pretty boy even more

 

he's just too sweet for words. I can't wait to get proper eyes, more cloths, and a faceup for him!

SO CUTE! I love him! How are you finding clothing to fit? I was a little worried that typical SD stuff might run a bit big, but as long as it still looks comfy like this that's okay

EDIT: I realize my phrasing is a bit weird, I mean how do you feel things are fitting, not how are you locating things that fit! They're not THAT much smaller than typical SDs

 

@Wolfie sd shirts fit just fine, and it looks like any typical ad shirt should fit!! However, typical sd pants are uh quite tight in the bum area and short in the leg area. XD SD17 pants should be perfect though!! I need to get a new pair of pants for him now Cx

Edit:: I did get him on the 65 cm boy body though!!! I'd think that the regular 1/3 body would fit regular SD clothes fine unless the waist measurement is the same as the 65 cm, in which case it'd be a slightly tight fit but it should still work.

 

@Coffee-Bat Cool, thanks for the heads up! Our house is mostly Bigs McManly territory, so I'm sure I can find a few things that will fit a bit of extra butt But I ordered the regular 1/3rd, so I doubt that will be a problem anyways.

 

I have a Volks head on the regular 1/3 body, and SD clothes fit him perfectly! Pants from Tree Design look awesome on him. I've yet to have anything that didn't fit. Some stretchy SD13 girl tops work, too, if you like a tighter fit.

AAAAAAAHH I went to see if he was ready for shipping yet and found out that not only has my boy already shipped, he's already at my post office and should be out for delivery today! I'm so excited!!

But here's a quick summary and the best photo, too. He was strung SUPER tight, resulting in a small chip on the right foot, but otherwise I'm really, really happy. The body sculpt is lovely and poses really naturally, the hands are gorgeous, and they actually sanded the seams! The head looks different from what I expected based on photos, but I absolutely love it. What a sweet face. Can't wait to paint him, I may need to see what I can do to lighten up that somber expression!



Anyone in the NYC/NJ area have any 8-9" blond wigs to sell?

 

@Wolfie ohhhh he looks so good I'm so sorry he got some damage though D: I got luky my boy wasn't strung too tight, he was actually strung pretty well, I was sad to restring him after he got blushed Cx hopefully you can get that new foot!

 

Thank you! Honestly, if I'm stuck with the chipped foot I'm not terribly bothered. I've already repaired it and reinforced that area on both feet with a dab of epoxy. In a way it was fitting--when I originally brought this character home as a KD Elf Ttori, he came with three left hands and one right instead of two pairs! Seems shipping errors are just part of his life.

 

Al's faceup is done! This isn't his wig, but it's the only SD size blond we have around. Hopefully his real wig comes in soon! I'm just in awe of how pretty this sculpt is

Speaking of, has anybody noticed the BeYours official site (beyours-doll.com) is gone? I wonder what's up.

 

Does anybody have any pictures of what the current normal skin and white skin colors look like? I'm thinking of reshelling one of my characters as a beyours p.g./Kikiyou and I don't know what color to choose.

Also which site do you guys recommend ordering from? Legend doll or sunny world. I'm surprised more people don't have these dolls. They have a very nice aesthetic!

 

I can show you some shots of the BeYours normal next to several other NS resins on Monday, but most of the others are older dolls and a bit mellowed out. Any specific comparisons you want to see? We've got a lot of Volks, Souldoll white, IH Realskin, and a few other things.

I didn't have a great experience with Sunny's World, but I don't know anything about Legend.

 

I'd just like a pic of the normal skin and white skin in hand not even in comparison with anything the doll I'm looking to reshell is in dollzone normal pink skin but I only chose that because dollzone white resin used to yellow really fast. I'd really like her to be in white skin but I'm not sure how beyours resin looks in hand/ages so I'd like to see it in owner photos.

I just wanted to share my P.G girl, who arrived earlier this month. It took me a while to get around to painting her face as there's been a shortage of MSC in my area, but here she is~
Her wig still needs to be fixed and she badly needs her own clothes, but I'm pretty happy with how she's coming along already.

Hey all! Does anyone have a Luts Delf or Volks SD13 body to compare to a BeYours SD girl body? (I have 2 dolls I really want new bodies for, and I like the look of the BeYours bodies). Thank you!

 

I have a Delf, an SD13, and a BeYours boy, but no girl body I'm afraid Let me know if you could use any pictures with those!

 

I have an SD10 body I could compare to a BeYours body if that would help. I am actually going to sell that body (the BeYours) because I put my Chestnut head on a Dollstown Elf body. I haven't listed it yet, though.

@Wolfie Since I posted about the Trickyfeet project in the news-Section this morning somebody wanted to add a beyours65 boy. He seems to have normal SD boy feet. Is there a reason they don't fit into normal SD shoes? Would someone with a 65cm boy please enlighten me?

 

@ResinRapture Whoops, that was me. I did not realize. When I tried to look for shoes, all the ones I looked at were too big. I guess I should look at ones for 60cm boys and not ones his height?

 

@iamkathybrown Oh I am glad you answered. I didn't want to dismiss it, some dolls have weird toes/ankles or there's some other reason why regular shoes don't fit them, even if the size is normal. I wasn't sure if you would check on my answer to your suggestion in the doc files. ( I am not even sure if the person suggesting gets a notification if there's an answer.)
He seems to have normal SD boy feet (7.5-8.5 usually). There are loads of 8cm shoes that should fit him. ACbjd e.g. lists inside measurents of shoes. Doll shoes are usually a bit larger than the actual foot length, and a bit too long isn't bad for stable standing with a boy that size. And looking at shoes for his foot size (not his height) is probably a good idea

 

Woah, I almost forgot about this thread! it's been so long, but i never put an actual good shot of my boy here.c: Took him out to the park a while ago and got some great pictures. The rest are in a gallery thread but here's my favorite one.

 

@ResinRapture and @iamkathybrown Alright, glad that's worked out I was going to say, my boy has the new 1/3rd body anyways, so I don't know anything about the 65cm one. The 1/3rd body has perfectly normal SD boy feet, I've had no trouble fitting shoes.

Hey all! So this might be a long shot, but I suppose it’s worth a try!

Would anyone be able to tell me how well BeYours resin compares to Crobidoll? I’m thinking of hybriding a head I have onto a BeYours body, but I’m not sure which resin color to choose. Any help would be much appreciated!

 

@Graven yooo I'm not sure if this'll be too helpful but the current beyours normal is far too yellow and dark for crobidolls normal! (Now my friends crobidoll is a few years old so might not be 100% accurate)

Hmmm, that was what I was thinking I might have to do, seeing as how BY’s resin seems to be more yellow than most companies. Good to know, and thanks for your help!

 

Yeah, the BY resin is VERY yellow--which works out great for me, since Al fits right in among out 2005-2007 Volks dolls

 

And it's pretty close to my 2015 Migidoll head, if a bit yellower.

 

I absolutely have this company, I personally have a Beyours pansy sculpt who love. I haven't found a single sculpt that didn't like. Too bad not many people own their sculpts.

 

Hi! Long time no post. I wasn't happy with my Pansy's face up so I haven't really taken any photos of her, but yesterday I repainted her and I'm so much happier with her! So here she is, with her new face.

hello- popping in here and wonder: which girls body poses better? the old or the new? just from looking at the body i like the old one better

 

Kind of had the same question as greeneyed-soul. Noticed that for some girls you can pick between body A or B. Is B the new body? You don't really get a good body shot of B at all but it looks lite it might be able to hold knees up to chest from the one angle of the hip joint.

Hi! I can't exactly answer your question since I don't have the old body. But I do have the new one and it's a decent poser.
This is the extent of what the hip joint and knee joints could do (if she tries the pose that Calliope13 mentioned). I did have to hot glue suede her chest and hips for this to be possible, though, since the inside of those sockets are so smooth that they tend to be too slippery. The worst parts of this body are the neck and wrist joints. They have an incredibly limited range of motion and hardly hold the pose you try to bend them to. The ankles are also a bit slippery, though it's not impossible to make them stand.

Has anybody tried to buy a 1/3 Beyours doll lately?
Dolk was listing them yesterday, then when I clicked on the link today, the dolls had disappeared.
Sunnyworld/swdoll timed out, and when I tried taobao, there is no Beyours list.
Legend Doll seems to be the only shop opened and listing Beyours' BJDs.
Does anybody know how long it would take them to make a 1/3 doll? Is their service quality good?
Edit: Ooops! They put 8 to 10 weeks on their website.
