Hey guys!

Looking to get one of their girls for my first SD but wondering if I can have some info first

Is there a comparison anywhere of old and new resin colours? I'm guessing the stock photos are all with the old colours but I'm looking to be able to purchase dolls that match their photo colours where possible

What would be the cheapest method of ordering them and delivery to England?

Is there a way to buy the pictured wigs? If not, has anyone found similar wigs and can recommend the best fitting wigs?

Same goes with eyes!

Particularly interested in a Primrose and whatever colour skin she has in her stock photos. But, not sure how I feel about the open mouth/teeth and the photos of the dolls don't give me a good enough angle to see them - I didn't even realise her mouth was open and teeth were showing until just now when I looked for owner photos.

Edit: is there any way for a layaway?

 

what skin tone is he? im thinking of buying from beyours but saw that the normal is yellow looking though your boy does not look yellow....?

So the "agent's fee" is $350 and that does not include the doll? Well, I am very new to this group, but it seems to me the $350 for an 'agent's fee' is absurd. Why should the buyer pay the difference for the fact that the selling company will not provide proper ordering translation? Why should the buyers have to compensate for a 'service' that should be provided by the seller? I don't mean to come off as nasty or rude. Please! Do not think that I am being like that. I just don't get this at ALL, other than it is a very 'shady', "got 'em by the shorthairs if they want to buy our pretty dolls" kind of extortion, lol. Just a newbie's perspective; I am sure someone will most likely, set me straight. Those dolls are fantastic, I must say, but that agent fee seems like a terrible gimmick to me. What happens, God forbid, if something is defective and you have to return it? What happens if the 'agent' gets your order wrong? Do they refund your money? The selling company should have a customer service department that has proper translators if they want to sell internationally IMHO.

 

@WillaJean your mistake is quoting a post from 4 years ago, actually.^^' Beyours can be purchased through dealers now, such as Sunny's World. The post you quoted was back when Beyours was only available through Taobao (i.e. before they ever opened sales internationally). So no, at the time, Beyours was not under any obligation to provide translations because at the time Taobao was only open to domestic orders within China. To order from Taobao, people hired agents (i.e. civilians) who lived in China to receive the products, which would only ship to domestic Chinese addresses, and then pack them up and ship them internationally. The agent fees are the premium you pay to the shopping agent who is not connected financially to the Taobao businesses.

 

Oh, my! That is the second time I have asked questions referring to an older post! So sorry about that, lol. As I mentioned, I am a 'newbie' and wow, there is a LOT to 'take in' where these lovely dolls are concerned, but I am trying. Of course DOA has been incredibly helpful. I promise to double check the dates on post I am reading. I think I assumed it was a current post because I 'thought' DOA deletes older posts. I am quite embarrassed, for what it is worth. Thank you for the clarification.

 

No problem, @WillaJean !xD Mostly just don't want people to start worrying that they have to jump through a bunch of extra hoops to get these dolls. As for older posts, to my knowledge they are never deleted. Instead, once a discussion thread reaches 1000 posts, a mod locks it and archives it, and then a new discussion thread is created. For some less popular companies, like BeYours, it may take years for a thread to reach that magical 1000th post.xD

My first intro to BJDs is Iplehouse and then Fairyland (although I only own IH so far) so I am REALLY lame about this 'stuff' which is why I am so excited to be a member of DOA. I'm currently in grad school and still have plenty of these moments myself, so no worries!xD If you do wind up with a Beyours doll, hope you'll show him/her off in here in the future!

 

Oh, I hope I CAN get one of those beauties one day soon, and yes, I will be delighted to share images. Wish me lucky, I will be a nervous wreck trying to order one, so questions may follow, lol. I will try not to be too much of a pain and will also make sure I try to research past threads, posts and or advice on my questions before being redundant! Excellent that you are in Grad school! Congratulations on that!

 

I fell in love with BeYours Chestnut a couple of years ago and kept saying I didn't need her. I finally got her about a year ago but then she stayed in her box (life). Today I finally gave her a face-up, so here she is.

 

Further, the phrase "agent fee" is probably a poor translation/word selection. $350 would have been the total sales price for the full doll to an agent--not a fee on top of. Typically agents do charge a small fee, but it's usually just a few percent of the order total and is completely unconnected to the original doll maker.

 

Oh, she is WONDERFUL! I adore her! Great, great job!

Hi guys! Soo after months of wanting him and thinking about his character, I finally ordered my Olive ^-^ ordered him from Sunny's World and he got here in about a month. SW was perfect, only weird thing is that the status never updated to say shipping, he just arrived at the post office.
I LOVE his posing! He is definitely my best poser so far. His face sculpt is so lovely too, I can't wait to give him a face-up. Probably won't happen for quite a while but I'll post it here when it's done c'x

Haven't checked out BeYours in a long time, but I just stumbled upon SP Pandy when I was doing the usual price comparison between SWDoll & Legenddoll. Makes me a little sad, because I can't order sleeping Pansy head when I order my Pansy girl! Boo. But the head is very beautiful, I hope someone gets one. ♥

I'm preparing to order my Pansy soon. I've decided to go with Legenddoll, since it's now only about $8 between the dealers. I'm so excited, I feel like ordering her right NOW, but I have to wait a while. XD It's agonizing...

Honestly I had started to wonder whether or not to get Pansy at all, and get another BY sculpt (I was thinking P.G.), because it just seems to uncertain if you have no owner pictures of the doll before you buy it. But now I'm totally, undeniably in love with Pansy again. *__* ♥ She is sooooo beautiful.

Hi! I was hoping someone could help me figure how which sculpt this is? I received him/her along with another doll I purchased, and I can't seem to figure out who it is. I've looked all over the BeYours website, but they only show the dolls with makeup. Any help would be appreciated!

Pretty sure that's a Bamboo head. I had one. They were giving them away as event heads last year.

I finally got my Yew boy all gussied up and put together! Wig is temporary until I find a short, black one that looks good on him.>.<

@Cydril thanks! The hands are from Sadol (my fave company for hands!), and he's actually on a Doll Family body. The resin match between all the parts is pretty terrible, but that's what long sleeves and a high collar are for!xD

Hello guys.. I just came across this company on LegendDoll's website and I'm so drawn to SP Pansy boy. I don't know why, but I find him very expressive even with closed eyes. I'm still considering what skin color to get.. and perhaps thinking about the layaway plan. It's hard to find owner photos of this particular sculpt, though I did find some seriously gorgeous girl Open-eyed Pansy out there.

 

Oh sweet mercy... I just went and bought their Amber on an impulse. She is so beautiful. I was saving for another Luts girl, but then I discovered Beyours' sculpts and the are just too lovely to pass.

By the way, Amber owners (of which there are a few in this thread alone), the pictures you've posted of your gorgeous, gorgeous girls have been a great help

 

I have FINALLY ordered my white skin BeYours Pansy! Took a while because I wanted to make sure I have enough money to pay for customs charges when she arrives. I went with Legenddoll in the ends since they seem more reliable to answer messages if something goes wrong.
I did get a message saying "paid failed" when I paid, but then checked and they have received the money and it's gone from my PP as well. Kind of scared me. XD
But yay, I'm so happy! I have wanted this girl for so long now she'll finally come home! ♥

I did have a weird second-guessing moment before I ordered and almost decided to order P.G. instead, but then I came to my senses - I love P.G., but Pansy fits the character better and looks more like Olive, who will be my girl's brother at some point.

 

You're going to love her. These dolls are so beautiful, and they are very good quality, pose well, etc. Congratulations, I can't wait to see her!

My Pansy has shipped! :O I didn't expect it to be this soon... Legenddoll told me it would be 4-6 weeks but I was expecting her to ship next week at the earliest! I'm so excited, I hope she arrives soon.

I was surprised to see that BeYours has changed their resin colours! This new white skin is a lot less yellow, is paler and creamier than before. A really nice tone, even though I liked the old one too. I have a phone quality comparison on my IG, I will take a better photo at some point though.
My Pansy still needs a lot of work, I hope I can continue with her soon.

I found this thread while looking for more info on BeYours--I just came across the Red Copper sculpt and from the company photos it looks PERFECT for a boy I've been trying to re-shell since 2009! I was wondering if anyone could share owner pictures of that mold--I've only been able to track down one I'm glad to hear the quality of the dolls is so good, though, and I hope to join in this thread with new-order-excitement soon!

I ordered a beyours Olive boy from sunny's world back in November because I absolutely fell in love with his face. ; u; but it's been just over two months now and i'm starting to get impatient!! I can't wait for him to get here.

 

I can't wait to see your Olive~! He has such a nice face, and I love their bodies as well.
Sunny's World has been good and reliable for me so I wouldn't worry yet, you can always message them if the wait gets extra long, they have usually given me prompt replies

Here's my Olive, Dmitri his face-up still isn't done and he doesn't have his proper eyes, but oh well... I still think he's cute~

One of the big reasons I decided on beyours was because of the bodies as well, it's so hard to find a non-super muscular body in SD size it seems.
It's been a couple years since I got a brand new BJD and I forgot how hard the wait can be!! My last boy was secondhand, so he was in super quick. I'll probably not send an email until over the three month mark Cx

I don't mind the super buff manly men for some looks xD but I was looking to shell a specific character who is a small grumpy thing and has like no muscle mass. most sculpts and bodies just didn't work for him at all. ahh, now I just need to actually order clothes so he doesn't have to be in the nude when he gets home...

LOL that was my mistake, I only got mine some boxers from Alice's Collections and no substantial clothes, and he's been near nude for quite awhile. He fits into regular SD tops pretty well though so he's used the ones I have for my Peak's Woods dude, and my friend was kind enough to make him some pants so I could bring him to a meet x'D

 

- u -;; I made that mistake with my poor last boy...he just sat on a shelf...completely nude, for months. I almost felt guilty. I'm hoping the clothes I ordered actually fit him, pants wise. Good to know shirt won't be a problem!! : D
xD at least he wasn't flashing everyone at the meet?? My local group has brought nude dolls before, the sweets shop we usually go to is so used to it at this point they don't even bat an eye when we restring dolls mid-shop.

 

Hahaha omg that's great! We only go like once a month to this coffee shop IDK if the staff recognize us or anything yet. And I didn't want any regular non-doll people to be freaked out by a ~2ft tall naked doll

 

Recently we haven't done, but we're supposed to have one at the end of the month. Cx we usually call the shop before hand as a warning, just in case it's supposed to be a bust day or something. Oh man but I understand!! I wanted to bring my 60cm boy out into the city and to the mall with me but I chickened out of even doing that and brought a tiny instead. I can't imagine having a completely naked doll in a place that wasn't already used to it.

 

Yepp >w< I'm too shy to even bring fully clothed dolls out unless it's with other doll people hahaha. I really want a tiny to be able to take around in a pocket or bag though...

@TheBodyVolcanic Your boy is lovely! Echoing everyone else, I picked BeYours for the delicate body and then was lucky enough to find a perfect headsculpt as well. I love my big buffbody mcmuscleman but this character is meant to be very slender and small!

 

Ohh man I understand, I am too!! I'm good to bring my tiny out into the city, but I couldn't even bring my 60cm boy with me into the book store without like...glancing around to make sure no one was paying attention. Dx it was nervewracking and I wish it wasn't!

buffbody mcmuscleman omg me too though, I actually found BY because a year or two ago I asked in a Facebook group if anyone had recommendations for bigger non muscular boys. After I found them though I've found I really like some of their girl sculpts as well so I might get one of them someday too ~

 

Redcopper! He's a character I've been trying to re-shell ever since I had to sell my KD Elf Ttori many, many years ago, and I think this will FINALLY be the right fit!

@TheBodyVolcanic The sculpts are all really pretty! And I'll have to get some good photos of the delicate and lovely BY next to mister buffnstuff when he arrives My other SD-size boy is an SID Claude!

My poor Ttori came from a bad resin batch back in 2006, and turned butter yellow within... two years? Maybe not even that long. The shiny, plasticky, banana-colored resin was just awful to handle, so even though he's a character I adore I just couldn't keep the doll itself. In the years since then, I've found the same thing as you--I still love MSDs, but SD sculpts are just so detailed and they're really pleasant to work with! I can't wait to see how the BY body feels

 

D: oh god, I would be so heartbroken at a bad batch of resin, that's awful!! and in such a short amount of time too. Man, my big boy is from I think....2009 and he's still not all too yellow, thankfully.
