Shopping Best way to order a Volks F-01 girl? I have some questions

    1. Hi guys, I'm just posting this here because I'm a little confused about what my options as a US resident are for ordering from Volks. I really, really want a F-01 SD girl in Pureskin White and have begun saving up for one. Volks USA has offered her before, but sadly I wasn't in a place to order when they were offering her.

      I'm just curious what my best bet is to begin moving towards ordering her. Would a proxy be my best bet? I don't mind that, however, I would prefer not to add hundreds of dollars onto my order of fees. Does Volks even have her open for order at any given time? I also do not know what my body options are. I don't technically need a faceup, but I think I would prefer one. Do I just wait until Volks USA offers her again? :P

      I've tried searching around, but I'm sort of confused what the best place to start is. All I've done for the time being is set aside some money. Thank you for any help I really appreciate it! ^_^

    2. F-01 in white is usually referred to as “Una.” She’s a doll who has been released often, so finding her secondhand would be a great bet. There’s been Una as a DearSD quite recently!

      If you want to order her directly from Volks, you can wait for the U.S. FCS to be open (an SD16 order seems to be coming up in October, so an order with the SD and SD13 bodies will probably be further off), you can try for a one-off if one is available at Christmas (a slim chance, though, as one-offs are single dolls specially painted by faceup artists), or you can use a proxy to order from FCS in Japan.

      But secondhand is probably your best bet for this doll. There should be someone selling her in the U.S. at some point! Unfortunately due to the tariffs in the U.S. right now, it might be harder to purchase her secondhand from abroad. But, secondhand shops in Japan, like Mandarake or Dollyteria might still be willing to ship to the U.S.

    3. Thank you @snowgray , I appreciate all the details and sorry for being late getting back to you. I think you are right, second hand or waiting for a Volks USA would be my best bet. That's what I gathered from my research, but was hoping maybe there was some info I had missed lol.

      Now I play the waiting game :lol:
