Best carrier bag to buy? for two dolls?

I got a Dollmore that fits two and it is very nice. Dollmore USA can get it for you and save on shipping

 

The Dollmore bags are really nice, as are the Happydoll bags. Both will hold two SD sized dolls comfortably.

 

I've read that the Volks SD-sized bag can easily hold two, only have one boy so I can't test this yet :\

They do! I don't have any problems getting two of my boys in my Volks bag- Hell.... with a bit of work, I can fit two SD13s AND my mini boy! (That however, seems to be the limit. there's no way in hell I can get three SD13s in there.) ^^;;

 

We have Volks bags, and they carry 2 each quite nicely. ^^ Last we were in the LA store, they were in stock.

I got a bag from luts, and you can put two SD13 in it. Easy-peasy. :grin:

 

I can fit two dolls and a pillow between them in my Dollmore carrier, the one meant for a single doll. Only thing is that I sometimes have problems closing the zipper over the doll on top's butt.

i use a baseball bat bag to carry my dolls in. the bat bags come in different sizes and some are more padded than others. the one i use though is an adidas bag i bought for 9.99 and then i pad it with the cusions that came with my dolls.

 

I think only one 60cm would be safe in their big carrier. I have a big cushion in mine for protection so I couldn't squeeze another 60cm doll in there if I tried. I dunno about their mini case.

 

I've fit both Shin and Kika in my Souldoll carrier, though it gets really squisy if you try to use cushions... generally I just wrap them each in velvet. Though putting them head-to-toe is easiest.

Kika and my Dollfie Dream bodied-girl both fit in there VERY easily, even with cushions.

And their MSD case would be too short for a 60cm.

 

Just out of curiousity, do you put them side-by-side or on top of each other? Do the straps still fit around them both?

I am thinking of adding a Delf LARGE carrier to my order. I looked at the pictures and it looks like it would carry TWO delfs, is this correct?

That bag should fit two Delf boys, no problem. The 'SMALL' one probably could too. But I would suggest that one, it's a good price and has nice cushions.

Though the bag I'm going to get is from Dollmore. It's the Goth Black Double Carrier-it holds two or more dolls in a sitting position, but it is a little more expensive.

 

My Happy doll bag can carry two CP boys. ^^ It should fit both.

 

The bag size refers to the size doll it will hold, not the number of dolls it will hold. Thus, the "large" bag is for 60cm dolls & the "small" one is actually for Kid Delfs (43cm/MSD) & would not fit even one Delf boy, unless he is unassembled.

I have the large/Delf-sized one, but I only have one big doll. I think you could probably cram 2 Delfs into it if you left out at least one of the cushions.

BTW, the cushions don't come with the carrier ... they come with your doll.

 

Actually, the Kid Delfs have their own size bag, listed for them. There are two sizes of carriers for Delfs, one is just a little longer. The small one is here,, and the large one is here. As for the "cushions", I was referring to the padding and whatnot in the sides. I stand by my statement that at least two Delf boys would fit into either, based on dimensions and what I've seen here on the forum. X3;

 

I love this dollmore carrier, it is much more comfortable than the old one. and the design is very cool too.

I think all the bags I'm going to get are from Dollmore now, definitely. When I run out of room in the one, I'll just get the same one again. ^_^

 

Hounds are hard to fit into anything other than the Big White Bag they come with... They're so darn leggy that it's tough to get them to fit a Delf-sized carrier. x_x

The Luts large bag, though, will fit two Delf-sized dolls. So will the standard black DollMore bag. I have one of each and have carried pairs in both without any trouble.

My Hound's bag can also carry two... I've had him in there with Crane (my El) a few times. I've also put my Hound in there with *both* of the MNFs. They fit fine. ^_^

 

i haven't tried the carrier with a Hound, but I have asked Dollmore once and their answer is no. Pity~ Q.Q

Hey, you're right! The carrier I've got is the large Delf one. It's very nice & sturdy, with lots of internal pockets. I can fit a crazy amount of outfits/shoes/wigs/eyes/etc in there.

And I agree that you could fit 2 dolls in there, stacked one on top of the other. I'm not sure about how many pillow/cushion things you could cram in there with them ... at least one in between them, but I'm not sure about more than that.

I really recommend the Head Mask. It doesn't just protect the faceup, but also keeps the eyebrows from getting mooshed in weird directions.

 

I'm a big fan of closed-top slushie/ice cream lids. They stay on about the same.]

 

I have this bag and while it could fit two dolls in it (by squeezing them together), just be carefull with the inner pockets zippers and such. They scratched my T.Shall's eyebrow and left stains and scratch marks on her faceup on her first day out (the stains are gone with the Magic Eraser, but her eyebrow is still scratched ), so I carry them in my hands now

 

i was wondering if the Luts carrier can fit only a delf size doll?

i want to get Cain and Rae a carrier but luts have sold out all the large carriers, right now i'm wondering if to get El-ss or just get El and a carrier.

I want a practical carrier that allows me to carry both boys, so i don't have to take 2 bags with me.

When I had the small carrier I was able to squeeze in two Delf boys, but the fit was really really tight. If you want something with a better fit for two dolls you'd probably be better off investing in another carrier. Perhaps a double carrier from Dollmore?

 

i see, i don't like the double carriers from dollmore that's the prob. Two Delf boys... i only want to put a Delf and a DZ Mini would that be a less tight fit?

 

I imagine a Delf and a mini would be a much better fit oppose to two large Delfs.

very fasionable, but a tad prcey

 

if you want a large carrier that has a look similar to the LUTS one, you can try SOOM (they essentially sell the LUTS carrier too--the pictures are the same), or Volks (a friend once managed to squeeze 4 SDs inside; i don't know how--i've only managed to settle 2 inside comfortably).

After recently getting my second doll, I now find myself with the Dilema of who to take out with me when I leave the house! I only have a Single Carrier (Luts Large), and dont want to risk putting them both in and taking them about.

While both the DOT boy and the Delf Boy fit with two pillows in the carrier, I cant help but wonder it this is safe.

What to people suggest? Is it safe to have them both in there and carry it around for the day?

 

I have an Iplehouse carrier and I have stuffed 3 SD-sized dolls in there with no problem. If you're really concerned about the safety of more than one doll in a single carrier, you can put face masks on them to protect their faceups. So far my dolls have had no scratches or dents without face masks (and the bag fell on a hardwood floor one time). Make sure the two of them face the same way so one's shoes/feet won't bang into the other's head.

 

I put two SD-sized dolls into my (old Volks) carrier all the time. No pillows. Definitely face masks/protectors! You should use those anyway, to keep the faceups from being rubbed and lashes from being smashed. The pillows aren't necessary unless you think you're going to be banging the carrier around! (which you shouldn't anyway, even with pillows). Most carriers are slightly padded/thickened so the dolls will be protected from getting poked by anything. Just be careful with your carrier and dolls and they should be fine.

 

I got a big regular bag for my kids (two SD size and one MSD size), so I package them all in the big bag, but first I wrap them with bubble plastic separetly so they can't hurt each other (yes, I'm totally paranoic) and they are just fine

We doublebunk all our girls - two to each Volks carrier, with pillows and face masks. No accidents whatsoever!

 

What the best thing to use for a 60cm doll carrying case? A backpack,a PC case? Or should I just get one off one the doll makers?

I guess it all depends on what you're using it for- how many dolls, where you'll be going, etc. I've seen people use wheeled luggage, messenger bags, and official doll carrying bags, and it seems they all work just as well.

For lots of dolls, wheeled luggage would probably be best. For just one or two dolls, you can probably use a messenger bag-style bookbag and have them sitting upright.

 

I'm probably only going to carry one or two doll to and from doll meet-up and anime conventions

 

Then a messenger bag should do just fine for you- just make sure it's big enough to accommodate the dolls. Sit one down- you'll need a length at least as long as their legs, and a height/depth at least as high as the doll. And since it's back to school, you can probably get a good deal on one.
