Hehehe another friend of mine had the same thought - concerning bodily functions. In my world, a genie doesn't need to eat or sleep, etc. When they're in their lamp - they become pure energy and are revitalized when they're released. So yes, Io will need to relearn a lot of stuff. And I expect to have fun playing with some outfits on him. Illustrations! Oh yeah ...
