After much procrastinating, and many design changes, I have finally started my doll Miette! I'm posting here, to hopefully categorize my progress a bit, and perhaps gain insight from more experienced makers! Miette currently stands about 30cm tall, but I expect that to grow a bit once I add her feet. As well as some changes that might happen when I fix her middle into a ball joint. As this is my first doll, I expect it's going to be quite a bit of trial and error but I'm excited for the journey. If anyone has questions or advice I'd love to hear them!
I started work on her face today! It's not... quite where I want it to be lol but I do love how sweet she looks 16180823391316698053008978201888 I'm going to continue messing with her lips so they're a little less... duckish? And I'm going to sand her cheeks down a little. But I'll have to wait for most of the clay to dry before I can do that.
.... I decided I didnt like the first face XD so I cut it off, and started fresh! https://twitter.com/MadPandaKira/status/1382864968891179016?s=19 I think this one, is MUCH better. I've still got a lot to do, since I'm slowing sculpting with epoxy for this run and I want my last edits to be dry before I start adding again, but I'm much happier with this face than the first!
She's so cute! I love her little round cheeks. You know, if you share with the BBCode on Flickr from a computer, your pictures will show - like so:
Yeah, for some reason DoA can be really problematic with posting pics from a mobile device. But if you have access to a laptop, you should have no problem.
