We’re thrilled to unveil our brand new doll line — a bit of a style twist for Bardo Research, but one we've been dreaming about for ages





Inspired by our recent adventures at UK doll events (and all the gorgeous anime-style dolls we saw there!), we finally created our very own stylised character in a slim MSD format — with all the signature movement and grace you know and love from us

In Buddhism, Rupa refers to form or appearance — not just the physical body, but the way matter takes shape in the world. It’s one of the Five Aggregates (skandhas) that make up human experience, alongside sensation, perception, mental formations, and consciousness.

To us, Rupa captures that delicate meeting point between physical form and inner presence — something ball-jointed dolls express so gracefully through their quiet poseability and subtle, lifelike presence.
