bardo research agave, pinot , thel,peme ,deepti, lami,sherry,omi and other tinys from oxana

Oh, I DO like them -- they have so much oddball personality, and I love their cardboard house (not to mention their cats)! I hadn't looked at the Bardo Research flickr or blogspot in a while, so I didn't realize there was a newer release than Thel.

Hmmmm, I see so many cool Monster High clothes on Etsy . . . this is tempting . . .

 

I love them too! Very cool cardboard box house! Definitely like the whole atmosphere-- invites creativity!

 

I have a Pinot on order! I'm going to make her my little artist girl. I cannot wait for her to arrive. I have some things that are already in her scale that I think will suit her. I love how unique they both are. I wish I could have gotten both of them!

 

@wilkies I love your set up! My girl will be envious as she does not have her studio set up yet. I have bits and pieces but the box I originally got for her is a bit small. I just picked up a larger one.

I have not received an actual notice yet, but I was told that mine is getting ready to be boxed up and shipped. So excited. aaaah

 

I feel you there. Sometimes I end up liking the new idea better than the original, so it works out. Either way, I am very excited to get this unique girl home.

I did get the notice for my girl the other day but she hasn't boarded the plane yet.

My tracking has not updated since 12/6. Hopefully it will update soon. Maybe it's already in my country? fingers crossed.

Thanks for all of these great pictures! I have a Bardo Research Thel and her posing is amazing. Is Pinot a good poser too? She looks so delicate.

I wish I scooped her up during her preorder, it was so quick I didn't have a chance to mull it over. I'm definintely wanting another BR girl, Oxana's work is so varied and beautiful.

 

I made Aeryn some hair yesterday. Not a wig. I glued wefts right onto her head. Wish I had a bit more but I only had a small swatch of this fur.

Is Thel included in this thread or does she have a different one? She seems to have a different body.

 

I'm so happy the thread now mentions some of the other Tinies. I have been posting pics of my Deepti to the Sadhana size thread although Deepti is technically small enough to be covered here. I also have Pooja on order. Wish I had any money left, because I would love to have Peme, too. Here is my Deepti in a Chanel-inspired suit I crocheted for her:

 

My tiny Lami has shipped, barely over one month since I ordered her. Oxana must have had some in stock. Did anyone else order her?

 

I'm hoping to get a tan Thel in the next year. Does anyone know if the artist does additional order periods for her dolls?

 

I think so. Since I've become aware of Bardo Research I've seen additional order periods for several of her dolls. They might not be the same resin colors as before, though. Best way to find out is to ask the artist.

 

Lami arrived today! She has no faceup, no wig and no clothes, so I won't photograph her right away. As soon as she's presentable I'll share her. Her resin is smooth and lovely. She's so tiny!

 

I'm still working on Lami's Christmas outfit. Luckily I had prepared a dress for Pooja because it looks like she will be delivered today. Photos as soon as possible...

 

Here is Lami, my Christmas elf. I'm calling her L'Ami, French for "friend". She doesn't have a wig yet, so I added braids to her hat. No shoes, either. I'm kind of stumped there. She'll get a faceup when the weather cooperates.

 

Here's Pooja (on the right, without a faceup) with my Deepti. She appears shorter because Deepti is wearing high heel shoes.

 

@wilkies - Ooh, is that your Peme? I love her look.

I wish I had bought one of Oxana's wigs. They're so well done. I always tell myself: no problem, I can make one. The only problem is my wigs rarely look even half as good.

 

Pooja has a face-up (finally) and a new name: Persia. I love this girl.

 

I have Thel in maji normal, sadly she was sitting in my glass bookcase (with other girls, too) and she was the only one who has really greened. I am thinking of making her into a vulcan now, ordered her black eyes and wig. Will see, how it turns out.

Really wish for Ayatana, but, alas, so many wishes and so little money

That's unfortunate, @BlackCat007. I would expect glass to focus the sun on whatever is in the bookcase, so it might not be the safest place for resin dolls. It will be interesting to see Thel as a Vulcan. Will you change her faceup or leave her as is?

Ayatana, is gorgeous. Like you, I have too little money for all the dolls on my wish list.

 

I'll have to change it, since she is blonde now.
I am still not sure if I'll try it myself or send her of for faceup. I really like the faceup that Thel with black hair and red eyes has on bardos research blog, but am really not sure about my skills, especially eyebrows

 

Hello everybody! I'm glad that there is a discussion about Oksana's dolls. My beautiful girls, Sadhana and Ayatana, clothes and wigs - made by me.

My Lami finally has a faceup (the weather cooperated), a wig that I like (after 4 tries) and a dress crocheted from my tiniest yarn. She arrived at Christmastime and is finally complete at Easter. I think that's the longest it's ever taken me to put together a doll's look.

I am waiting for my Peme to come She is still in production but Oxana said she should be shipping her soon. I was wondering about the new resin for Peme and the other tiny girls? Oxana told me that because they're using a different "harder" resin for the smaller girls casted at their studio, the price is not too different from the bigger girls casted at a different casting company. Does anyone know if there is a big difference between the two types of resin?

 

Do you know when she started using the new resin? My Lami arrived around Christmas last year and her resin is lovely. It's definitely good quality.

 

Aww congratulations on your Lami! Must have been so exciting. I'm not exactly sure when they started using the new resin but just wanted to know if anyone had both a small and big doll by them to compare the resin!

 

Thanks! It was. The resin used for Deepti, Pooja and Lami feels the same. It's hard to compare because all 3 are different colors. I don't have any of the bigger girls like Sadhana. I can't wait to see your Peme.

 

My dolls are all dressed in cold weather fabrics. Now summer has arrived and it's too hot to work with wool, so I pulled out my cotton crochet thread and made Lami a new dress.

 

Yay my Peme has arrived and she is sooooo SMALL and CUTE! I can't wait to make her a wig & clothes. But now I'm convinced I want another Bardoresearch girl.... They are so amazing.

 

Congrats @Guavaplant ! I can't wait to see her dressed and wigged. I agree Bardo Research dolls are totally amazing. I've got three already. (The other two are bigger.)

 

Sooo lucky!!! I'm so sad to have missed Sadhana's preorder Is it similar or very different from the joint system of their tiny dolls? Peme's joints are so smooth and there are literally no seams in the resin (!!!)

 

I missed Sadhana, too. Maybe she'll come around again. My other two dolls are Deepti and Pooja. Both have luscious, seamless resin. I'm very impressed with Bardo Research's quality.

 

Does anyone know if Bardo Research will make Thel again? I'd really love to get one.

I have a Mahi home, and was wondering if you had tips for outfits shops?
She’s so tiny, I do not know where to find outfits for her... and shoes... Thankfully, she arrived with a makeup and wig already...

 

I know that for some girls you may use MonsterHigh outfits... even shoes are OK.

Deepti may wear some of Barbie outfits at least parts like jackets=)

 

dark_angel congrats on your Mahi, I hope you manage to find clothing for her, maybe ask Oxana for advice.

Mine have tribal markings so don't need to wear anything
